I have been going to Dr. Matsui for a few years now. This is the best dentist that I have ever had. I recently cracked a tooth and had to have a crown put on. I went in and had the temporary put on and kept that for almost a month - Im a perfectionist and wanted to make sure that everything was good before the permanent crown was applied. The last thing I wanted to do was have to do the whole thing all over again. After the first week, I was convinced that I needed a root canal, because I still had a bit of temperature sensitivity - again, just wanted to make sure that when I had the permanent crown, I would not have any issues. I was in the area and without an appointment, they examined my tooth and assured me it was normal. Sure enough in a few days the tooth calmed down and everything went just fine. When I had my crown applied, they were so gentle, they did not even need to numb me, and I was in and out. This thing was easier than getting a cavity filled. Super friendly staff, from the front desk to Dr. Matsui himself. I would recommend them to anyone.

After charging me almost $100 more than what I was quoted on the phone(I had asked for a full exam, x-rays, and cleaning and was told Id be paying $175...final bill was $250), Dr. Matsui finished up by telling me I needed a filling replaced for $200. Long story short, I got a second opinion and it turns out the filling is a bit worn but could easily last another 15 years. The second opinion saved me $200 and made me switch dentists right away. There is also a very patronizing, manipulative way he speaks to patients which was not lost on me. Beware of trusting this guy.

Excellent dentist and support staff--could not be better! Top shelf skills and techniques in a professional and friendly clinic. I recommend Dr. Matsui to anyone for the very best in dental care.
