My dog had a history of back pain and one morning appeared to be having a lot of back pain as he was hunched over and acting strange. I assumed it was his back and it was a Sunday so my vet wasnt open. I took my Dachshund to her and she made it appear that it was his back causing the issues. Her office was in her house which was very ritzy part of town. When we got there she took us into her "office" which in reality was her laundry room and she adjusted my dog on her dryer. She charged us 100+ dollars and another $30+ for a joint supplement. Unfortunately my assumption that it was back pain was incorrect and since she is in no way an actual medical doctor or veterinarian she had no way to diagnose what was really wrong. The next morning he passed away though it had nothing to do with what she did. In the end I felt the only thing she was interested in was getting my money. I thought she had some vet training but that doesnt at all appear to be the case. If she was a vet she might have known the issue was not his back. As chiropractic for animals is difficult to find I cant confirm whether or not she does a good job and you may not have many options. I can say she did make time to see me on a Sunday with almost no notice and that I did appreciate it. She uses phrases like "complimentary healing arts" or "alternate healing" but I believe thats just another way of saying "Im not a medical doctor or a Vet" though her website says she did graduate from a Chiropractic school. She came off as a little crazy, a lot self centered, and appeared to be making WAY TOO much money for what she does. If your dog has been diagnosed by a REAL VET to have back problems she may be able to help but I dont know for sure. Just dont expect any expertise in anything else.

My 11 year old Beagle was injured while at the groomers and the emergency vet clinic told me that he would not walk without pain again unless he had surgery to repair ruptured/herniated discs in his lumbar spine. I have had experience with this type of surgery and cost aside, its a painful and long road to recovery. There were no guarantees of course that the surgery would even help him for a comfortable future. I have had chiropractic care and it has helped me immensely stave off surgery for my neck so I decided to research if it was even an option for animals. I found Dr. Debbie through a referral from the animal chiropractic website and made an appointment. She was very thorough in the initial exam. We went over his history, activities, the injury and my expectations. Then we decided upon a course of care. I initially took him once a week for a month then we reduced the visits to bi-monthly and now we are on an as needed basis. She charges very reasonable fees and has a variety of treatments that are available. My dog responded well to treatment and recovered nicely. I saw improvement after the first visit - incontinence was reduced, mobility was increased and general happiness was seen in my dog where there was only pain and lethargy before. Dr. Debbie is not a veterinarian nor does she advertise as such. She is a chiropractor who increased her range of clients through her love of animals and compassionate care. Its evident that she is an animal person and loves to ensure they are treated well and have a good quality of life. I highly recommend veterinary chiropractic care before surgery - at least give it a couple of visits. Results are not an immediate get well quick scheme, but they can be achieved over time if you stick with the regimen.

My sheltie Maggie was diagnosed with front shoulder and spinal issues 5 years ago and our wonderful vet, Dr. Cahill suggested that I contact Debbie as she was known to be a great animal chiropractor. The other option was loads of Rx meds and that was not what I wanted for Maggie. So, I contacted Debbies office and she was able to come see Maggie that same week. Debbie immediately found the issues and started treating Maggie with chiropractic and accupunture. It helped quite a bit right away. We saw Debbie about once a month and what a difference it made. Maggie was walking and running again! And without the use of medication! Highly recommend to any pet parent.

My story is a little different, my large bull terrier started have trouble walk and sometime could not get up. I was very unnerved about it. I went to the vet multiple time, and to an orthopedic. Nothing wrong with joint, MCL, ACL, xrays showed nothing. They did say it could be his back, so I did some research and found chiropractic care for dogs. I was surprised but I found Vibrant Energy though a search. I can’t express how dramatic the result were. After one treatment was walking without a limp. It took two month going weekly to resolve to an acceptable level. But now 2 years later we go every 6 months.
