I would NEVER recommend Dr. Hansen. His knowledge is extremely outdated. I came in for anxiety and strep throat and when he saw I was taking a number of supplements (including testosterone replacement therapy.. because it is VERY possible for females to not create enough testosterone to function properly), he lashed out at me. The amount Im taking keeps me in the normal range as a female. Im very into health and fitness and weigh 168 lbs (mostly muscle), he had the audacity to tell me I was very overweight and needed to stop eating so much. That my calorie intake was WAY too high. And by the way, when you have a considerable amount of muscle mass, your body NEEDS those calories to maintain the muscle. If your body fat percentage is still in the average to healthy range, theres nothing to be concerned about. Anyone reading this I would beg you to NEVER listen to any nutrition advice this man gives. He told me that if I wasnt losing weight at 1400 calories a day that I needed to keep cutting my calories to lose weight. Once again, Im not concerned about my weight, Im concerned about body fat. If you increase muscle mass and lose body fat youre very likely to gain weight since muscle mass weighs more than fat, so being lighter does not mean healthier. My other issue with this office when the front desk tried to act like I hadnt met my deductible and then blamed it on my insurance not updating the website when I have even gone on the website and seen that Ive met my deductible. They tried to charge me $110 for the visit. After three MRIs, a major surgery, an EMG, and around $7,000 worth of medical bills this year, I more than met my deductible and I dont appreciate someones laziness in processing the insurance. The womans dogs also pooped all over the floor while I was there. Thats a bit unprofessional and disgusting. What happens if someone with an allergy to dogs comes into the office? And then to have fecal matter all over the floor in an environment where people are already sick? Thats gross. When I had called to schedule my appointment, I mentioned to the woman I was talking to on the phone that I had been ill and it was getting difficult to eat. She responded by saying she wished she had that "problem". And that a good number of women would probably be happy to not want to eat. I cant tell if that woman has a serious eating disorder (from the sounds of it, she does), but promoting that kind of nonsense on the phone encourages people to be unhealthy and affirms unhealthy behaviors. Terrible office. Stay away.

I went to this doctors office to see about my back I was having some really severe pains. I was in the doctors office for about 5 minutes and the dr. Hansen then accuse me of being a drug addict and saying that my symptoms did not line up. I told him that thats not what the other five doctors had said and he then told me to get out of this office that we know how longer had a relationship that I was a liar and a drug addict and I needed help. I then went to another doctors later on that day, then I went and got an MRI. The other doctors office did indeed confirm that I had a very severely herniated disc. I then went back to Dr Hansens office to give him a chance to give me back the $85 that he took from me after he refused to treat me. He then told me to get out of the office he would never return my money and not the other doctors must have been lying. All this while I had the MRI on CD in my hand and he refused to even look at it. I would never suggest going to this doctor he is a terrible person and needs to be disbarred from practicing medicine. You are a terrible person Mr Hansen. I hope that you go out of business and that nobody else would have to endure the unproffesionalism that I did!

I have had the worse experiences there. This guy has no compassion, doesnt seem to like people, talks to you disrespectfully. He doesnt remember your treatments and doesnt bother to look at your chart and you turn out to be correct anyway but the scolding stands with him - always on top!. For the good things you are doing like STAYING FIT, there is no positive feedback. For problems older people such as I have TRYING TO STAY FIT AND ACTIVE, no concern of his. His advice. Stop. Whatever, Im not doing that. God forbid if you ask for an HIV test without explicitly requesting it in the appointment call. No compassion for your situation. This is the thing that makes me most upset. He totally admonished me for not clearing the HIV blood test when I made the appointment. I think of the stigma and discrimination that occurs on this disease. He has reacted confrontational and condescending to every concern and issue instead of reacting compassionate. I will never go back no matter what insurance restrictions there are. Yeah, my blood pressure is up! Great job Doc!

Lifetime Family Practice is awesome, truly. Anne puts you instantly at ease with her sweet smile and kind eyes. Dr. Hansen, I believe, is truly at an advantage compared to other medical professionals. His office doesn’t seem to be constricted by costly one-size fits all treatment plans as other professionals. Human beings are complex and therefore treatment plans should be given room to expand, otherwise they are often counterproductive. Allowing for adjustments to be made based on the patient’s needs, rather than the patient’s condition/symptoms being adjusted to a "one size fits all" treatment plan. I feel Dr. Hansen understands this and as such has created standards that allow room to create new and innovative ideas while ensuring my individual concerns are met. ~ Brandy

Ive know about Dr. Hansen due to him being my husbands primary. But the few times attending appointments with my husband appreciated his medical approach, and knowledgeably about other facets pertaining to optimal health/well-being. Yes, his approach is direct but yet non-condescending which I thoroughly respected "this is how it is". This is why I made a change from my former PCP (been w/over 20+yrs and she didnt stay at last practice for even 8 mos when moving from other practice, plus no notification) to deal with Dr. Hansen. He has a wonderful demeanor thats kindhearted, great listener, and conscientious of his patrons/patients. What astounds me is how Dr. Hansen assist one in finding ways to help save on prescriptions, which very few or if any doctors consider.

I have been seeing Dr Hansen for 19 years. It is so nice that we can all publicly write a review for someone whether its true or not. I can not imagine Dr Hansen as he is described in some of these reviews. I have recommended him to family and friends. He is the most direct doc I have ever met. He will tell you like it is. He is the only person you will see in his office. He will take as much time with you as you need. He listens, talks and will explain anything you dont understand. His front staff is AWESOME! I love seeing the dogs every time I go in (I have NEVER seen or smelled anything from the dogs!) If you want a one on one doctor experience that Dr Hansen is the one for you!
