We adopted a lab two weeks ago and went in for a check-up/screening. The vet we met with (older) was both impatient and abrupt. He informed me during the exam that there was something wrong with her rear paw; but provided no follow up or next steps as to what could be done about it. His answer to how much I should be feeding her was "depends on who makes it" (which Id been doing, but, was concerned about potential digestion problems). Then, after giving our dog a vaccination in a separate room, his assistant returned with her and said she did very well; escorting me to the front desk. The front desk said Id need to return in three weeks for a lyme booster shot, which was much more than the vet provided. It was frustrating to have a vet who was this impatient and abrupt, to not ask if I had any questions for him (I had 3 or 4; Im a new dog owner!) or take the time to explain what further tests may be needed for the dogs paw. Also, I understand that medical professionals are rushed at times depending on priorities. But, the parking lot was almost empty, and there was only one dog in front of us. Its nice to see that others have had good experiences here, and I must say that the rest of the staff was good to deal with. Unfortunately, the old vet we were assigned was such a turn-off that we wont be returning to this facility again.

I am new to the CT area. I bought a puppy from safari stans and was told to use this vet for a free first visit. I went there explaining my concerns of my puppy not eating, runny nose, cough. Nothing was done. My puppy was 8 weeks old. I walked out of there thinking in my head I hope he is never a patient of mine, like what kind of service was that. A free visit= who cares if your puppy is sick. Anyway I immediately changed vets. My puppy became worse, dry hacky cough that sounded like it was choking her. She was diagnosed with kennel cough bronchitis and had a fever. Oh and i even got a free first visit at the new vet. She was started on antibiotics and she is a whole new puppy now. A couple days after my first appointment with orange vet I got an email saying "review us and we will give you $10 off your next visit".. well here is my review and you can save the $10... something is not right with that office. Maybe its just incompetence.

Dr. D and his staff are great! I was an emotional wreck when I first got to the office with my dog Baby, because I thought she was dying. The girls at the desk were sympathetic and ready with the tissues! Then they contacted me a few times during the day to give me updates each time they had them. When I came to pick Baby up at the end of the day, Dr. D showed me her x-ray, and explained everything to me, though let me know he was still waiting to see her labs. I was provided medication for her, of which, one set of pills needed to be cut in half - and the office split them for me! The next morning, when Dr. D got the results of her labs, called me immediately and let me know the results and inquired as to how she was doing. Really great group of people to work with when youre dealing with one of your four legged family members health!

The vets and technicians at Orange Veterinary Hospital are wonderful. We had been through a, for lack of a better word, traumatic ordeal with our cat, Stanley, at another vets office. We took Stanley to Orange Veterinary Hospital for a second opinion. They were thoughtful, kind, compassionate, and *honest*. Though it was not good news (as we had suspected), they were caring and professional. When I had a question about a cat we wanted to adopt, one of the vets called me after hours to answer my questions and give me important information. We have now adopted that new kitty and take him to Orange Veterinary Hospital. Their level of knowledge and care is outstanding. I trust them with our pets, and that trust was honestly earned.

Ive been taking my dog, Josie, who will be 10 this year, to Orange Veterinary Hospital since she was a puppy. They have consistently taken great care of her and have been very gentle and careful with her even though she is a nervous and difficult patient. Thats why when we got a new kitten, we brought Juniper there too. Juniper makes Josie look like a model patient. I give the doctors and the staff a LOT of credit for dealing with our little "Hellspawn". I know that whenever I bring either of them in, they are going to get quality, loving and professional care. I would highly recommend Orange Veterinary Hospital to anyone!

Orange Veterinary Hospital is EXCELLENT!! We have been bringing our pet family members there since 2000!! They have taken wonderful care of our guinea pigs and dogs over the 17 years! We have been exceptionally happy with all services from medical care to boarding and grooming. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. And the doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable. The PetDesk app provides ease of appointment scheduling and appointment reminders, and the website contains valuable and current information on many topics regarding your pets. The practice receives a 5 Star rating from us!!

If you are looking for a veterinarian that will provide the highest level of care for your pet, then look no further. We have been taking our dog to Orange Veterinary Hospital for one year, and the service is superb. They will keep your pets vaccinations current while also providing an array of progressive treatment modalities. The veterinarians are up-to-date on literature and are able to articulate the complexities of the case clearly and decisively. The office staff are friendly and professional. Thank you Dr. D for providing your community with such great service.

Our family and our pets love Orange Veterinary. Our son recommended O.V. to us as they are his vet and hes boarded his animals there. We initially boarded our dog there. We liked it so much that we started using them for his medical card. We have found them to be incredibly kind, caring and reasonable. AMAZINGLY, our dog is not terrified when we go there. Historically he hated going to the vet as he feared we were leaving him there for boarding. That is not the case. Hes comfortable and at ease. They are attentive and every experience has been a great one!

My boyfriend and I love Orange Vet. We have two rescue dogs and two rescue cats and Orange Vet provides the best care for all of them. Dr. D is fantastic. I have taken my cats to at least two other vets that just didnt care about them at all. Dr. D was so patient and understanding with them and that means the world to me. Our rescue dogs have also gotten first class treatment and I will not take my animals anywhere else besides Orange Vet. I recommend Orange vet to everyone that I know! They are such great people!

Staff are extremely friendly and make you feel very welcomed from the time you walk through the door. Dr. was very thorough and explained everything. He did not seem rushed. He even gave me plenty of opportunities to ask questions regarding the care of my new puppy. I live about 45 minutes away but the professionalism was well appreciated and worth the drive. I know that my puppy is in great hands. I would definitely recommend this practice to friend or family in need of veterinarian care.
