I followed Dr. Sheen here from South Windsor and have not regretted it. I have a very difficult prescription to fill and shes been able to adjust it to the point where I am seeing very well. State of the equipment definitely helps, as does also being the optician and being able to provide the best possible lenses available. I have diabetes, and her preventive care and examinations have been very thorough. I also have high risk for glaucoma, and shes been good about following up with that. Shes also provided the required reports to my primary care physician. She and her staff are all very nice and pleasant to work with. They are good about taking the time to work with you and never rush you. Dr. Sheen is very willing to take the time to explain everything and answer any questions. They have also been very helpful with adjusting appointments when Ive had sudden changes in travel arrangements that prevented me from making it. Her new office is lovely, and they have a good inventory of frames and glasses to choose from. As I said before, the diagnostic equipment is state of art and included quite a few capabilities I have never seen before. They definitely did not hold back when investing in the diagnostic equipment. The prices for the eye exams are reasonable. They provide fairly large discounts if you pay direct without involving insurance. The glasses were expensive but were fairly priced given the very high quality level and the complexity of the prescription. They do provide a full warranty on the glasses for a year. In summary, Ive been very happy with Dr. Sheen and Eye-Life Vision Center, and I will continue to go there for my vision care.

Awesome Staff and Great Service. I has signed up with Sightbox (a contact lens subscription service that pays for eye exams and contacts for a monthly fee). Sightbox set me up with EyeLife for my eye exam. It was scheduled for a Saturday. Perfect since I work crazy hours during the week. I arrive and the staff at the front desk are just sweet as pie. The office itself is really lovely. Brand new and modern. I love how they use laminated forms with a dry erase marker to cut down on paper waste. I waited maybe 5 minutes before being called to the back. The Doctor was really friendly and personable. He made sure I understood everything. He was very thorough. The machines they have are state of the art. Everyone I came in contact with knew what was expected with me using the Sightbox service. There were no surprises. I walked out with a pair of trial contact and Im scheduled to go back this Saturday to lock down or change the prescription. I cant rave enough about this place. Its just all around great!! Totally would recommend it.

I was looking to purchase new glasses. My previous glasses had been purchased at BJs and were not the best. I did not want to go back and I used Google to find other places in town to purchase my eye glasses. I found Eye Life Vision Center listed. The hours were good since I work M-F and they have Saturday hours. The staff was pleasant from the time I entered the office. The young lady asked me what I was looking for and helped me find exactly what I wanted. When I returned to pick up my glasses, again the staff was friendly and spent all the time I needed to be fitted correctly. They are priced slightly higher but I will take quality and service over saving a few dollars. Highly recommend.

Dr. Sheen is a brilliant, amazing doctor. I had seen an ophthalmologist for several years and on a whim decided to go to see Dr. Sheen ,a doctor of optometry instead. She saved my vision. She diagnosed me with glaucoma --something that the ophthalmologist had missed for several years. At the time, it was already in an advanced state when she diagnosed it. Since then Ive undergone eye surgery in hopes of limiting the disease. Had it not been for Dr.. Sheen and her thorough examination I never would have known. I have seen many eye physicians since that time and they are very familiar with her work and admire and trust her. You are in very good hands with this provider.
