I have been going to Just Cats for over 5 years now and have had a few things happen that I think I should share with all of you. First, I had a doctor LOSE a thermometer up my sick and aging kittys you know what then argue with me about it not still being inside of my cat and told to go home. He told me if it was still in there it would fall out naturally. I refused to leave and insisted he take an x-ray which he did in haste with a technician present. The thermometer was indeed there and I made him remove it. It was awful for my poor kitty and the doctors terrible bedside manner made me change doctors immediately. I received no apology. Second for the second time I had boarding issues with the staff. The first time I boarded with this clinic my entire household of cats came home sick and sneezing after 5 days. I called everyday from my vacation and all was well according to the staff. When I returned from vacation they were all sick due to a sick cat that had been brought into the clinic that was not quarantined so all my cats needed to be on amoxicillin for two weeks AFTER my vacation. Try feeding that to 4 cats 2 times a day. Still NO apology. Thirdly after much consideration I recently boarded one cat and he was returned to me after only 2 days covered in urine with a large gash on his nose. I called the clinic immediately upon seeing him at home out of his container and was promised a call from the technician the following day but no one returned my call. I had to call again and the doctor I spoke to said she would do her own fact finding after our conversation and returned my call later to say that there were issues with my kitty getting out of his cage and that the staff admitted to her they gashed my kitties nose before placing him in his container. The staff only admitted to me that night that my kitty urinated a little bit on his bed. Now I see that they knew he was covered in urine AND had an open wound and did nothing. The doctor said she was sorry only after I called another clinic to pull my cats records. I feel sick because I trusted this place and considered it a home and family for my cats. I donated money to this place. I also called this place 2 to 3 years ago just before they closed when a kitten of mine stopped breathing and the receptionist told me that they couldnt help me. My kitten died in my arms that night. I think that speaks volumes.

This place is an hours drive away from my home, and I STILL would go to Just Cats before any other place (except of course in the state of an emergency). My cat is a rescue who is deathly terrified of dogs and having a facility where she cant see/hear/smell them definitely helped her to be less nervous. Also, we had a bit of an issue while bringing her inside the building itself - the front door popped off her carrier and she almost escaped, but thankfully the man working behind the counter on the bottom floors shop was quick to help us secure the door properly - it had apparently been put on incorrectly the first time - but his help allowed us to get her back into her carrier so we could take her up to her appointment (and back home afterward) without worrying that she might get loose again. The doctor and her assistant were both very kind and quick with the exam and the office staff was not only knowledgeable but they all very blatantly adored cats. Our doctor in particular was also kind enough to email us back and forth for a couple months while we figured out our kittys meal plan - at no additional charge - which I never thought a vet would do. She was happy to help us from afar like that (phone and online), knowing we dont live nearby. I could sing the praises of this place and the people who work inside it forever really. It is a perfect fit for my kitty.

My husband and I have known and trusted Dr. Bolotin at Just Cats over the past twenty years. He has cared for our many cats and seen them through wellness, illness and even as some passed away. He is the most gentle and caring veterinarian we have ever met and we would not take our cats anywhere else. Sometimes we actually have fun. But even when we have had to leave one of them in their care for a few days, I never worry (which is unusual for me.) The dignity and respect we always receive has created our loyalty for Just Cats. Recently, one of our guys became really sick. It was a busy day at Just Cats when I called, but they made time for us. Dr. Mary took great care and time to figure out what was wrong and got him feeling better immediately. She was so kind taking my worries away and kept in touch with me for several days to make sure he was recovering. If you are looking for a place where all your questions will be answered patiently, with expert care and surrounded by people who love animals, I would highly recommend Just Cats. The veterinarians at Just Cats are superior and their staff reflect the same high standards. We are extremely grateful for all they have done for us!

I took my Frankie here last September after had a urinary blockage due to the dry food Ive been feeding him over the past 2 years... Long story short, the staff at Just Cats was incredible all around. The veterinary who attended my Frankie was sooooo thorough explaining everything that was going on with him, from calling me twice a day to let me know how he was doing, to giving me options to save money since this was an unexpected expensive procedure... I have to add that the place I had brought him originally was a lot more expensive and less thorough, hence why I looked for alternatives and thank God a coworker knew about this place. I havent had any issues with Frankie since but I will be sure to bring him here from now on to get his yearly check-ups. They also have a store where I get his food every month. I checked their prices compared to online and they are about the same, plus I LOVE the young lady who works at the store. She always has a smile on her face and is eager to help me. If youre looking for a good/affordable place to bring you beloved cat, this is it!!!

Ive only been in the area for two years, but after searching around for vets for a few months, I found Just Cats. Just Cats is a fantastic place - it is helpful for my rambunctious three cats to not have the added dogs around, and I think the fact that these vets only treat cats mean that they are much more sensitive to what can ail them. My cat recently broke his leg and they were able to squeeze me in right away, and gave me (and my darling pet) compassionate care - and was super descriptive giving me all the options that we could take. It was really helpful to both know the costs and the possible effects of the various treatments available - and the vet didnt pressure me in any direction. Everyone that works here truly loves their jobs and the cats that they see, which is really quite a refreshing experience (everyone who has a cat wants theirs to be special - kind of like kids - and here they really are treated that way!). Because they see enough cats, they are also able to treat the purebreds (2 of my 3 are Abys) with specific care relevant to their breeds.
