Im really shocked and upset with how Waterbury Animal Hospital treated me when I took my dog in to be seen. Ally has horrible allergies, this time of year always brings on some uncomfortable eat infections. This years was worse than usual, and wouldnt go away with the routine antibiotics or penicillin. This year I also took out a line of credit that worked specifically for dental and vet trips. So this morning I choose one of the veterinarians in network, and confirmed they took took that particular line of credit. They confirmed it with me and I booked the appointment, We went in for 5 and were seen pretty quickly. Allys ear infection was going to be pricey but I was okay with it because my dog was in pain, and I wanted to make it stop. I gave over my information and credit card, when the receptionist told me she never really used one of "these" before. "These" being the CareCredit card I had called earlier in the morning to confirm they used. The veterinarian went into a back room and said she was warming the medicine to be put in Allys ear. She cane back to get ally, but was stopped by reception. The staff pretended to "warm up" allys medicine for close to an hour while they tried to figure out how to use my card. I was even told at one point that they would just charge my debit card, that I had given to them as a second form of identification. I told them no, run the care credit. I was then told that they were having issues with their terminal, or my card, and couldnt figure out what was wrong. I called the CareCredit myself, and got a representative to tell them there was nothing wrong with my card or account, and they would run the transaction for them. The Veterinarian refused to get on the phone with the company. I begged the veterinarian to please treat my dog. Id leave the card with them so when their terminal worked again they could run it. But I had to leave with my dog untreated. I am furious that my dog has to go another night in pain because these morons wasted my time this evening, so every other veterinarian was closed by the time I left. Horrible. Just about the worst experience Ive ever had with a vet

At first I believed this vet was amazing because the service was fast and they were very friendly. That changed as soon as they over medicated my puppy with vaccinations. The vet told me if anything seemed wrong to call them and come back. A couple of days after my visit with them, my puppy turned from active to lying down not being able to move and crying. I called them immediately to tell them whats happening and they told me to come to them. My dog was critical it looked like every minute that passes by he was leaving us. When I arrived at the vet, they were so irresponsible that they were speaking to me through a closed door saying sorry they cant take me in. I was furious and was showing my lifeless dog to them when they finally allowed me to come in. A waste of money and the vet should go back to school because shes obviously incapable of doing her job right. They took forever just to tell me hes a diabetic and he just needs "a regular packet of sugar on his tongue". They handed me my dog lifeless crying AND Charged me for that which didnt even help at all. I panicked because I was sure as hell not leaving my dog in that condition and I went to Cheshire animal hospital and they did their JOB right. I went in with a lifeless dog and I came out with my dog healthy. Oh and guess what, he did not have diabetes he was in a COMA. The vet from Cheshire said I was lucky to bring him in so fast because he was in critical condition and they were 90% sure he was gonna pass away.

I JUST WANTED TO START OFF BY SAYING THIS VET IS BY FAR THE BEST THAT I HAVE BEEN TO IN A LONG TIME I OWN A HUSKY HE ENDED UP GETTING A EAR INFECTION THEY SEEN HIM NOT ONLY AS A NEW PATIET BUT THEY ALSO TREATED HIS EAR. My dog normal is afraid the vets office but last night he was giving kisses an wagging his tail :) I might have to switch to this vet as my normal vet I forget the doctor name but she was excellent she new what she was talking about prices are very low an reasonable if I took my dog to his normal vet they would of charged me close to 200$ So paying 76$ at Waterbury vet hospital put a smile on my face I think when I go back in two weeks to get a recheck I might switch to them as my normal vet

Great experience with this vet. Our dog got very sick suddenly for no apparent reason. The vet suggested a bunch of tests (after stabilizing him) to figure out what was wrong. It was just before Christmas and I was concerned about how much it would cost (although whatever it was going to cost, I was going to find a way to come up with). The vet was fantastic taking time to explain which tests were most critical. They also explained the Care Credit which I applied for and got, A lifesaver...literally! Very very compassionate staff. Have brought our cats in since for check ups. They are the best!!!!

I took my cat to Waterbury Vet Hospital and it was actually a really peasant experience. The waiting area was clean and the staff were friendly. I usually take my cat to Banfield, but have been really disappointed with them in most areas- especially customer service. The woman that saw my cat, I think her name was Mary, was very friendly and compassionate. I felt like she really cared about her job and enjoyed doing it- an experience I havent had with other vet hospitals in the area. The prices were reasonable and overall I would recommend waterbury vet- Ill be going back for sure.

Great place. Went on Monday with our cat. Second time there. They were very busy because they had an emergency walk in. Explained to us we could either wait or they could reschedule. One customer went off screaming at the staff that he was there first and wanted to be seen. They were so professional. I would have banned him from coming again. Geez, if you had an emergency, wouldnt you want to be taken immediately??? I dont get people. But anyway, they were great. We just waited cuz werent in a rush and wanted the injured dog to get help. Five stars!

Love this vet hospital!! Weve been going here for years. Today, our dog was suddenly very ill (vomiting and listless). We totally panicked. They told us to bring him right in. I know we made people with appointments have to wait which I feel badly about. But hes only 8 lbs and I swear he threw up twice his weight :(. They stabilized him and did tests. We wont know until tomorrow when the bloodwork and such comes back what caused this. But we walked out of there with him seeming to be 100% better. I cant thank them enough! ❤️
