I give three stars for the doctor himself. Ive loved this office and have had no problems until today. I went in yesterday for my pre op visit for labs, ekg, etc. I waited in the back room for a total of 30-45 minutes. Plenty of time for the Phlebotomist to do my labs. Instead, she took two people that were behind me and then the guy came to pick up all the blood work and she came to me saying if she did my lab work that day it wouldnt come out right so could I come back the next morning. I said ok but I have to be out by 8:15 for work. I said I would be there at 8am. She said she would be there at 7:45am. I was five minutes late from the time I said I would be there, at 8am. I was told that I have 6-7 people in front of me that had been waiting since earlier. Excuse me, Ive been waiting since yesterday. Im on two diabetic medications and had to be NPO twice. I would have waited behind maybe one or two but 6-7 is uncalled for. This is supposed to be a medical facility that should have known a patient on certain medications that hasnt had anything to eat, especially a patient that has waited hours for labs compared to minutes, should have gone first. If it werent for Dr. Lopez, I would choose another primary doctor. They staff waste a lot of time playing around instead of doing their job but I have to wait. The head nurse sided with the staff. Anyone with a medical license that thinks this is ok to do, should have their license taken away. Ive waited more than an hour every time, even after making an appointment but never complained. This is uncalled for and they are lucky I had a glass of orange juice waiting in my car for after my labs because I was already feeling weak and I have a history of seizures. Dr. Lopez needs a new staff before they get him sued.

I was reading a few of the reviews about Dr. Lopez today and ran across one that really upset me , Some unnamed female put a post in here that has to be totally false , after reading it I found it hard to believe she was even a patient of his . Mt partner and I have been going to Dr. Lopez for a lot of years and have never had a bad experience , sure , some times his office gets busy and you may wait a little while , but IT IS A DOCTORS OFFICE after all !! Last year my Partner was in the hospital for a knee replacement , the staff there kept telling him he had to wait to get to the rehab center , for 3 days they told us that , and then on Friday morning we were told 3 more days , I called Dr. Lopezs office and talked to one of his staff members , she said to let her make a call , 96 min. later the transfer team was there to pick my partner up and away we went . on another one of My stays in the hospital , Dr. Lopez was on vacation but took the time to come in and make sure I was being taken care of . you cant get this kind of service from just about any other Doctor in the area , the man is a true gem .. there have been several times over the years when I had to call Dr. Lopezs office for one thing or another and He and His staff have never let us down , I highly recommend Dr. Lopez to any one that needs a good family doctor . and for the young lady who saw fit to try and trash his name about a bogus visit , shame on you , who ever put you up to doing such a horrible thing should be tried and convicted for aggravated stupidity . thank you Dr. Lopez for being there for me and the rest of your patients . Gave it one because .5 is not a option..winter haven office I am still waiting on referrals and procedure approval that were submitted 2 weeks ago. One dr who they referred me to has been waiting and calling for the approval finally went strait to insurance.. if you have a appointment you might as well schedule to be there all day. Been in to see him twice now and not once has he ever done a exam, got bloodwork done and never heard results until I called and had to ask for them. His nurses and receptionist spend most of there time talking badly about the patients and are not quite about it. Apparently if one person is out no one else in the office knows how to do their job. I have changed my primary and do not recommend this office to anyone and have filed complaint with insurance about how bad it is

Im only giving two stars because Dr.Lopez is an awesome doctor. The biggest problem is the SCHEDULING. This is my third appointment at the haines city office and once again, Ive been waiting a whole hour and a half past my original appointment time. The staff are nice but very unorganized, too many patients are being scheduled at one time, making the wait time so long. UNEXCEPTABLE and very UNPROFESSIONAL. This will be my last visit!!!

I just started seeing Dr.Lopez and I must say he really is the best made me feel very at ease and was able to be very open with him his nurse and staff are so nice and helped me and answered all my concerns I called to have my family seen with him as well I would recommand Dr.Lopez everyone has their own opinions on professionals but your attitude depends on how you get treated thats how I see it.

I will not give doctor any stars. Every time I go to this doctor I wait no less than 1 1/2 hours. The last time I went I waited an hour and 40. Minutes and when he came into the room my daughters school called I told him I had to take this call because my daughter is epileptic he ran out of the room and never came back in. I Would not refer my worst enemy here.

So this Doctor now has an office in Winter Haven. at 7482 Cypress Gardens Blvd. I have met with this Dr twice now and he seems like a nice guy, seems to know his business. BUT hes office staff is the worst I have seen in a long time. Good luck in getting someone to answer the phone or calling you back.
