I have waited and fought to get this app. today with Dr. Santos. I am a disabled veteran and I have been unable to walk for since Jan 20, I walk with a crutch and literally scream out in pain every step. I have been to the ER at the VA multiple times, and to my primary care as well. They finally done an emergency MRI (they had a cancellation). My primary care doc. called me over two weeks ago and said I was looking at a total hip replacement. The VAs ortho could not see me until april! So referred me to outside care, which turned out to be a two hour ride and good wait. Dr. Santos spent a total of 5 min. with me. He looked at one x ray and told me that it did not look that bad to him and that I was to overweight, and if I would lose weight I might not need surg. He also said because of my weight, the hip appliance would break. He also said he could not help me because I was a heart patient, that I would need cardiac care for an operation. I am 52 yrs. , 6 tall and weighed around 230 most of my adult life. I now weigh 310 since I quit smoking 4yrs. ago. I am working on the weight loss. But I have literally sit and cried in pain trying to walk. I need help, I cannot go on in pain, god only Knows how severe. Santos may help some people with all his experience. But he did nothing for me, my leg is swollen extremely and red, every step is excrutiateing pain. I have to find help. I will return to the VA, I guess. I sure hope Santos does not charge for that 5 min. , they did not even take my temp or blood pressure. They seen it was VA covered, which is minimal payment. and he made up his mind before he even looked at me. Wasted day for me and driver that took me.

I would highly recommend Dr. Santos to everyone I know. Dr. Santos is a highly skilled doctor, very intelligent and caring. Polite staff, not a long wait time.

I wouldnt send my dog to him,,he told me that there was nothing wrong with my legs and now they are removing them..Some doctor!!!!
