I called this morning to make an appointment for well-child visits for my two sons ages 2 and 4. I was told that I would have to give my health insurance information and that it would need to be verified prior to making an appointment and that I would be called back shortly. I was never called back, so I contacted them late that afternoon. The same person I talked to apologized and stated that she just hadnt had the time to call to verify our insurance. I asked if I could go ahead and make my appointments as they are a bit time sensitive with enrolling in daycare and I was told that I could not until my insurance had been verified. I inquired further and was told that it was an office policy. I have never been told that I couldnt make an appointment (especially as a brand new patient) because my insurance information had to be verified. Usually, that is verified between the time the appointment is made and the appointment itself. I explained as much but was still told no. As a nurse, I understand the importance of verifying insurance coverage but I also understand the implications of making the patient and/or family member feel as though they cannot be trusted. It appears that this practice is less concerned with the well fare of children and more concerned with money. The lady was nice enough, but it was certainly not a good first impression. I will be taking my children elsewhere.

I am a greatful to Dr. Sia for turning my experience of the this place around completely! I originally left a negative review stating how bad my first experience here was with Dr. Khan. Thankfully I switched to Dr. Sia and he has been lovely to my now 6 mo daughter. I have to say Davenport Pediatrics client etiquette is great, as the practice manager bothered to come and find me during one of my daughters appointments to see if there was anything she could do to improve my experience (after reading my review here). I was able to tell her that I was now more than happy with Dr. Sia and his care. The staff are much more welcoming and kinder than they were before and Im definitely happy with this place as my daughters primary care. Thank you Davenport Pediatrics for caring about your patient experiences.

To Dr. Sia, I give 5 stars. He is great with kids and very personable when speaking to the parents. To the staff that operate the office I shouldnt even give 2 stars. They seem to only know how to deal with Medicaid because its all done for them. If you have private insurance, especially with a newborn STAY AWAY!! They dont seem to understand how to call insurance companies to clear up any issues they may have in the office. Instead, they wait for you to get there and make you sit in the waiting room and call them yourself, all the while not letting your child be seen. My wife and I walked out of that office and will never go back, which is a shame because we loved Dr. Sia.

We have been going to the Clermont location to see Dr. Kahn for three years now. He is very personable and knowledgable. Personally I love nurse Nancy who can level mom to mom with me, which is great being a new mom. The staff are always friendly. They are pretty good about trying to get you in when your little ones are sick.

Both doctor Khan and Dr. Sia are awesome. They are bilingual with no accent. The wait time is minimal, I have been going to them for almost 4 years. My son was premature and he got the best care from these doctors.

Dr.Maria Khan is wonderful!!! Ive been taking both of my kids here since they were born. The MA staff are also wonderful & very hardworking. I definitely recommend!!!!

Be careful. They give your kids shots and blood test they dont really need. They just want that Medicaid check. And the front desk girls arent too bright.

Dr Sia is awesome! He is very thorough in his exams and caught many things in my newborn the hospital missed.
