BAD EXPERIENCE!!! I NEVER SHOULD HAVE LEFT MY HOUSE.... First off the number of the office only works sometimes so I had been trying to get an appointment for over a week seeking speech therapy for my son who has down syndrome. We are part of the Early Steps program that this office works with which is why I was trying to get an appointment. When finally got through I spoke to Lily and felt as if she was defensive because I hadnt heard from them. She said she for sure left a message at my home personally (i never received a message but i know sometimes things happen). Her terrible customer service was not appreciated but I ended up getting an appointment anyways. I drove 30 min from my home. On the way there I thought I was lost and called the office to figure out where exactly it was. Lily answered the phone again. When I asked if the office was east or west of flamingo her response was "I dont know directions I couldnt tell you. We are behind a gas station." I finally ended up finding the office which looked like a storage unit. There were no windows or anything just a metal doors on a cement building (kinda creepy feeling) but I still went in. Lily was the receptionist. When I arrived she was on a personal call and hung up to start having me fill out paperwork. She took my insurance card and began the process for a new patient. She asks me if I have a prescription. I didnt have one but told her I was suppose to see my pediatrition this week and I could get one for her. She said she could lose her job if I didnt get one and the terapist could lose her license.... I was confused by why lily would put not only herself but the therapist in that position and she acted like she was trying to do me a favor when she should have confirmed everything over the phone before i ever left my house. Then she says the cost for an evalutation is $160. I told her I was part of the Early Steps program and had never had to pay that much for anything. She said she didnt have the right paperwork from them in order not to charge me and that I should call after to be re-imbursed. (at this point i am beyond frustrated and want to cry! I havent had speech therapy for over a month and a half and all I am trying to do is get started). I ended up leaving the office never even seeing the therapist. My experience is a warning to other parents and if you try this office I hope you dont have to go through what I went through and I especially hope you dont receive the poor service from Lily that I did.

THIS TEAM IS AWESOME!!!!!! BEST THERAPISTS EVER, ESPECIALLY STEPHANIE!!!!! I can only talk about my sons experience, and all I can say is that Stephanie was sent by God to save my son and give him the help he so desperately needed. I dont understand why someone would have to use such rude language to write a review. This other review signed by "Mark" used the term "B.S.", and the only meaning I can think of for this acronym in this case is Beautiful Soul. The entire staff, and especially Stephanie, have been so patient, helpful, and loving towards my son and my family. Im not getting paid to say this, I dont know them from before therapy started, and still, they treat us like family. I had lost all hope for my son after trying so many other therapists in Tampa and Miami. Everyone limited their sessions to improving pronountiation. Only Stephanie started working with the muscles in my son´s mouth, and she´s the only one that has been able to train him to gain the strength he needed to improve his articulation. This is the only time I´ve seen true improvement, and I owe it all to Stephanie and her innovative methods. Trust me on this, nobody else around here has Stephanies knowledge and experience, and no one else offers the techniques that she uses. On another note, Im usually late for his sessions because I come directly from school, and its far away, and still, Stephanie always waits for us, and always has a smile in her face. Ive had to cancel in the last minute several times (with a reason, of course), and havent been charged for it. So, I dont understand how anyone can say this office is all about making money. Every time theres been a cancellation on their part, Ive been notified prior to the session, and havent heard any other parents complain about anything like that either. All I can say is that because one person has had a bad experience, whether is their fault or someone elses, doesnt qualify them to discredit anyone. This office has been very professional in my experience, and is always full of patients, which shows that Im not the only one that likes them. Those who dont agree with the rest of us, just go somewhere else where you can be happy, if anything can possibly make you happy, and stop making up stories to make people look bad just because youre having a bad day and have an attitude about life...

GREAT TEAM!!! A few months ago we started therapy with my four year son who was sent for VOICE therapy, due to calluces on his vocal cords, a medical condition that could ended up in surgery later on in his young life if wasnt corrected because it was so severe according to his doctor...After looking everywhere in West Broward County, we were surprised to learn that BI-COUNTY was the only place that offer that kind of therapy covered by our insurance. From the very beginning the whole team was very helpful and knowledgeable, starting with Sherida who didnt give up dealing with my insurance requesting the authorization (which from my experience sometimes can take for months to obtain), continuing with Stephanie and her great way to work with my son. Stephanie and her team not only have helped him improve his voice to the point that last week his ENT was pleasantly surprised with the way his vocal cords are healing, but had also taught me so much about how with simple exercises, tips and their programs, I can help my son. We have been lucky enough to work with some of her staff as well...they are great ladies, kind, creative, resourceful and very professional. We definitely recommend Bi-county. My husband and I are very appreciative of their hard work. Thanks!!!

Quick to ask you to change your schedule time to accomodate their scheduling needs, but dont take your scheduling "needs" to account. My son was removed from the schedule with absolutely no warning. A heads up should be mandatory. A couple of times my son was only seen by one therapist because they made scheduling errors. Other times, they called me with one time and sent an email with a different time. In these scenarios, i have called to verify and still they send an email with a different time. Which resulted in several back and forth calls. I have forewarned them that my son is asthmatic and when he gets sick, he quickly worsens out of nowhere. Especially when the temparature drops, as it has been in the last two months. With the exception of one time, i have always called ahead. Apparently, therapists do not get paid if they dont see a patient- thats a system chosen by their employer not me. So, with all the errors they make in scheduling, the VERY LEAST they can do is give you a courtesy call to warn you about the schedule removal. Only reason i chose this location (not near my home) was because of their Saturday hours. Now, ill just have to choose a weekday office closer to home and hopefully one that is MUCH more organized.
