My mother has been there for a few weeks, shes there because her wonderful doctor prescribed way too many antibiotics over a short period of time, thus giving her cdiff infection. While my mother has been staying in this place they have not given her, her usual medication and feed her things she cant eat. Which luckly my mom is not super senile that she cant defend herself or speak for herself. so she has told them time and time again.. and still they are forgetting to even feed her lunch. . while her stay there she has also gotten lice, which she is waiting to see what they will do about that. I work full time other wise id go and just get her now! Which I have told her will be doing as soon as this friday! Its BS. I will never leave my mother in any such facility no one cares for these poor people. It is sad how people in this field go into such field with out passion for it and treat these poor older folks as they would want to be treated when they get old!

Do not take your loved ones here...Not even your Mother-In-Law! The rooms are roach infested, filthy and unsanitary. When we reported roaches in the room They said "Oh, Ill put it in the bug book". The nursing staff is severely overworked: 3 nurses at night...2 have 30 patients each while another has 60 patients to care for and medicate! The nursing staff if so abused and overworked that they cannot keep help...it is a revolving door of new employees and management staff. Very behind the times..nothing is computerized. The hand written notes are impossible to complete on a shift. My loved one never had her treatments done as per Doctors order. I asked a nurse why they didnt sign and date dressings and was told "The Director of Nursing tells us not to sign and date them in case the state comes in and finds them with a 5 day old dressing on that hasnt been changed". There are much nicer facilities in the area... Avoid this place like the plague!

10 STARS (PLUS!) If EVER I needed a ReHab Facility again - I would have absolutely NO worries/concerns about going to CONSULATE ! ALL Staff is outstanding. Therapists are INCREDIBLE, caring and careful (I had a situation where I was RELEASED from the Hospital to Consulate with an irregular heart rate - ONLY the caring STAFF of HealthCare Consulute caught it (BETTER THAN THE Bayonet Point RMC ->> SEE REVIEW!!) There are SO many that I would say THANK YOU Lois :) !! ALL CNAs, EVERY ONE of my Nurses !! Every individual Therapist - (SO many pls forgive me for not writing every name down :( ! Jenny my O.T., Arnie and the Doctors on Staff. Someone was looking out for me when I was moved there I Truly feel as though they saved my life. NOT Remotely Understaffed No Lice No Roaches I would HIGHLY recommend CONSULATE HEALTHCARE ! ! 10 STARS (PLUS!)

****B E W A R E*****This place is a train wreck. The staff is trained to forge medical records and report the patient is non compliant by offering them a hand. Theyll tell the patient its OK to rest if they want, not telling them if they do, it will be reported that needed to rest and couldnt continue which prolongs their stay and pads the pocket of these hucksters. My mom sat on a bed pan for 55 minutes because no one answered the call. There is zero dignity for the patients. The food is absolute pig swill that I wouldnt feed my dog. Looks like Ill need to lawyer up and get my mother out of this hell hole. Definitely DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES BE REHABBED HERE!!!!! After reading some of the positive feedback, you have to know its the staff writing it, because no one i know would to spend a minute in this place.

My Aunt is a quadriplegic and has been living at consulate the past few years of her life. After being administered to the hospital she lost her bed and they REFUSED to take her back. My grandmother set up an appointment with the administrator about this matter. She waited 45 minutes and finally went into his office because of being blown off. The administrator told her she can not come back and does not owe an explanation. What it all comes down to is my aunt is on Medicaid which does not pay them enough for the type of care that she needs. THIS WAS HER HOME. THIS PLACE IS THE LAST PLACE SHE HAD LEFT. THOSE CNAS WERE HER ONLY FRIENDS. So as far as administration goes, remember they are after your $$$ and could care less about what they are doing to your loved one. DO NOT GO HERE.

My experience at consulate health care for my wife ( stroke ) was very rewarding the medical staff was very kind and very up to date on all the needs of my wife from rehab work to meals and the room was always clean from top to bottom plus her bed was always clean and changed daily, as far as the administration is concerned again tops they were there for me every step of the way any questions or problems they had the correct answer to help me through this trying time I would recommend consulate health care in Hudson FL to any body who wants to look ahead to a better and safer life with out question they are tops in my book of hope they helped me through some trying times. My Dad spent the last 5 months of his life at Consulate. His declining health was the only reason for his poor quality of life. I have read many of these negative reviews and call "BULLSHIT". The staff was Professional and treated my 98 year old Dad with as best as I can explain LOVE! From the Nurses to the Cleaning Staff you can expect no more than they gave. As I entered the building, the day Dad passed, I was greeted by a member of the cleaning staff with a heart felt hug. You cant buy this type of caring without it coming from the heart. When my time comes I hope to find a place with that much Professionalism and Integrity. Tony Torre

Every time I am there, I have to deal with an EXTREMEMLY RUDE nursing staff when asking about my grandmothers condition. For example, when I visited her a few days ago, I asked the nurse if she was still on contact because of her CDIFF and the fact there was a sign on the door to ask a nurse. I was met with a rude-borderline yelling- "I DONT KNOW", followed by an eye roll and the slamming of her chart. How can I entrust the health and well being of my grandmother to people who CLEARLY dont want to be there?
