I went in to see the doctor that does the cosmetic work here, a Dr Tavory. From the moment he walked in, he shook my hand, introduced himself, and consulted me while standing up the whole time. That look made me feel as if he was in a rush to get to the next patient. I wanted to close spaces in my teeth with cosmetic procedures,. I had ideas from research I had done and he shot them all down because he only wanted to do porcelain veneers. He also recommended cutting some gum line away and stated if I didnt do that no procedure would look good. He was very closed minded in his approach and seemed to only be interested in doing porcelain veneers. Ive had several consultations with cosmetic dentist before and his was by far the worst. Although he has a professional opinion of what he thinks will look best; that doesnt mean discount the patients ideas or at least try to meet them half way. And look enthused while doing it.

I have been to this office several times and loved it! Each & every staff member has been kind, efficient and professional. I was pleased with the services provided by all of them; John, Kenny, Martha, and Melissa. Valentina and Dr. Berkowitz are two that stand out to me as exceptional. Valentina has repeatedly gone out of her way to explain the services & billing details to me, all the while juggling incoming patients and phone calls. Dr. Berkowitz provided excellent care and gave me his honest professional opinion which ended up saving me money in the long run! He humbly admitted he treats people the way he wants to be treated and for that I am grateful! This is a very small office which I think I actually like since it really does provide for a more personal level of care.

This dental office is a rip-off. They charge patients for procedures that never took place because they want to get money out of the patient and your insurance company. If you have private insurance beware of the person in the billing department!!! Make sure you ask the dentist to explain the entire procedure before and after because they have the billing clerk to explain the procedures. The billing clerk makes you think your paying for one thing and you find out later you are paying for some extra procedures that never took place. Make sure you get copies of everything you signature immediately after you sign or else they will add additional procedures and you will never see the original copy that you signed. My advice is to just not go to this dentist office!

This place is HORRIBLE. My appointment was at 3:30 to get basic cleaning and inquire about getting the gap between my front teeth fixed. They did not call me back into the room till 4:50 and then I sat for another 10 mins. The doctor came in and asked what i wanted done without even looking at my sheet. I told him about the gap I wanted filled and he imediately shut me down like he didnt think it could be fixed. I had it done twice before and it just needed a tune up. The dentist came across VERY LAZY and said i should look into getting veneers. They did not even clean my teeth like I was scheduled because she said they were closing. I will never go back. Poor customer service and a lazy untrained denist!

Smile Design Dental of Margate is a wonderful dental practice. I had the best experience, well as great an experience you can have while getting dental work! I was a new patient and called as soon as they opened and was told to come right on in. I was seen and taken care of immediately and the Doctor was so kind and the staff made me feel at ease. I had been in horrible pain for days and I am so glad they were able to see me. They worked with my insurance to make sure I could afford the procedure and truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this office. I will be back for all of my dental needs in the future!

Very bad communication. What should have been a month process. Took two months. Go to appointment that are schedule and no Dr. And no call stated this I went today for my appointment and they didnt bother to call and say anything to me till I got there. Its a hour trip they knew yesterday before closing that the lab was not bringing the item. But yet they do not bother to call us knowing the item was not coming and are appointment. Was. For the next morning. I would say it was just a fluck. But not when it happened. More then. Once will never return

Went in as a new patient and received a beautiful gift. Thats never happened before. I was examined by a technician and a very sweet doctor who was apparently not money hungry, and thats never happened before, either. I went there due to a mistake by my insurance company but I have decided to stay there. I was impressed by the friendly staff and the use of technology. The main building does not do justice to this office because there is no sign that it is inhabited, but once I got inside, I felt right at home.

FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD- THE DENTIST CHARGES EXTRA FOR A "DESENSITIZER" WITHOUT SUBMITTING THE CLAIM FOR THIS ITEM TO THE INSURANCE. YOURE TOLD YOUR INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER IT.SO YOU CAN HAVE AN OUT OF POCKET COST. I CALLED MY INSURANCE AND THE AGENT STATED A CLAIM WAS NEVER SUBMITTED FOR THIS ITEM TO EVEN GET DENIED. THE DR WANTS YOU TO PAY $35 FOR EACH TOOTH SHES DESENSITIZING OR SHE WILL NOT PERFORM THE FILLING.. I REPORTED THIS DENTIST TO MY INSURANCE AND TO THE FLORIDA BOARD OF DENTISTRY.

My very first visit was yesterday as I am locating in this beautiful area. Smile Design Dental , NOT ONLY MET my expectations, but EXCEEDED THEM ! Ms Sara at the front desk was professional, attentive and helpful, in addition to John, Dental Assistant. Dr Heart , her attention to detail, giving service, second to none , !! I love my Dentist (Dr. Steven Berkowitz), I have been going to his dental practice for years and I highly recommend his office! The hygienist who cleaned my teeth today (I have very sensitive teeth) made it a great experience. Even though I moved further away 6 years ago I dont mind the 40 minute drive because I know I am in good hands. And as a bonus they are located right across the street from my favorite thrift store in Broward county (WID Blooming Sales)!

These folks are angels. Went in with excruciating pain after a previous bad filling somewhere else. They saw me same day. Everyone, from the front desk to Dr. Berkowitz, was amazingly kind, considerate, and symphathetic to my pain. I have a root canal schedule for tomorrow. I am extremely grateful to them. The office is nice an clean and it helps also to know they have Saturday hours. I will bring my children there as well. So so grateful I found them.
