I have never gone online to complain or praise any business. I feel it is my duty to provide future patients of my horrible experience with this doctor as well as his staff. I should have had more sense then to go back after my first visit. I made an appointment for a consultation at which time oral surgery was recommended. He referred me to a Dr. Russo another horror story. I went to Dr. Russo and had to have my entire upper teeth extracted. Which I forgot to state was recommended by Dr. Hirschberg. Dr. Hirschberg had previously made a mold for an upper denture which I had to pay in full before he would send them to surgeon on the day of surgery. After the excruciating surgery the denture was immediately put in my mouth. I had been sedated so I was not aware that the denture was made so badly. My two front teeth were made so that when they were placed in my mouth, were now positioned so that they looked like they were my left lateral incisor and cuspid. So my front teeth were now on the side of my face. I pointed this out to Dr. Hirschberg at which point he became rude and told me it was all trial and error. I asked him were do we go from here he became agitated, looked at my mouth again and said I needed further surgery to sand down the bone in gums and then I would have to wait another month or two before we could make another mold ( more money). When I told him that I could not wear the denture he had provide me, he throw his hands up in the air and called me a drama queen. I was mortified and started to cry. He screamed in the hallway for other patients to hear " that's it, I'm done".

If youre looking for a dentist to take care of cavities, give you excellent advice on your teeth and how to keep your enamel in tip-top shape, and to make sure that any blemishes/stains that he can remove he does - then please, do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Hirschberg. While a very nice and polite man, he spends more time talking about veneers than he does actually being a dentist. After several requests to fix a few cavities/chipped tooth, the only thing he wanted to discuss while I was there was spending $10,000+ on 6 brand new teeth. I politely explained that, while I like having a beautiful smile, I wasnt financially in a position to spend that much money on 6 pearly whites, and that I wanted him to simply fix what Id asked. He didnt, and after the 3rd visit where nothing had been done, I decided to go visit another dentist. I was X-rayed and fixed that same day for about half of what Hirschberg wanted to sell me ONE of his veneers for. So, while I commend him for doing amazing things for others on a cosmetic level - he espouses himself as a practitioner of general dentistry. Make no mistake, this man does appear to have lots of talent in the cosmetic dentistry field. But do not take yourself or your children to see him if you need cavities fixed or general dentistry done. He uses those as a front for his business to sell people over-priced teeth.

Im from out if town, and I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled so I looked for Dentists in the neighborhood. I immediately noticed Dr. Hirschbergs practice and that it had very positive reviews, so I called that morning and they arranged an afternoon appointment for the same day. I dont have insurance so I had to make sure of the cost of the checkup and the operation prior to walking in. They assured me that checking out my tooth including X-rays wouldnt cost anything before they do any operations. Everything from the moment I walked in was a pleasant experience. Receptionist is very nice and helped me out promptly, and Dr. Hirschberg made it one of the most comfortable dentist experiences in my life. He was professional and clear on what the issue was and what was needed to be done and how much everything would be out if pocket. This was easily the best dental experience Ive had. Ill be going back to get a cleaning before I head back to Atlanta.

As a retired dentist who practiced for 35 years I consider myself an authority on what makes a good dentist and Dr.Hirschberg is all of these: He is professional and is constantly striving to provide the very best care possible. He is always studying to stay abreast of new information and technology. (FYI he has also written dozens of magazine articles on dentistry). He and his staff are all caring warm people. I have been in his office when other dentists have come in as patients as well as dental laboratory technicians. Quite a compliment!! By the way, we have recently moved to Key Largo which is quite a distance a way but my wife and I make the drive the drive.

I have been going to Dr. Hirschberg since Ive moved her 7 years ago. 7 years I entrusted this man and his loyal staff to the well being of my mouth. From cleaning to implant. My mother in law, father in law, and my husband have all been going to his practice for years.His staff is very knowledgeable. Not just his assistants that handle cleaning, but his billing staff. They have always made sure what I may have to pay out of pocket before the procedure. When he has to refer me to a different doctor, hes on the phone with them to make sure everything is aligned for me. I will continue to refer people to him.

My entire family has been going to Dr. Hirschberg since the late 1970s. This is an office that is efficient and warm and welcoming. When the children were little they never had any fear of going to the dentist, as Dr. Hirschberg and his staff are very gentle and knowledgeable. Additionally, he always made excellent referrals when more extensive work was needed, such as an implant. He also follows up on work that is completed by other specialists in the most caring and efficient manner. I always know that I am in good hands with Dr. Hirschberg and his staff.

As a 15 year old whose been going to Dr. Hirschberg ever since Ive been a toddler, I can truly say that Dr. Hirschberg is great working with kids. Hes very effective, efficient, gentle, and makes you feel very relaxed with his great sense of humor. His staff is very nice and considerate, and Dr. Hirschberg treats his kid patients with the same thoughtful considerations and respect as he does with his adults patients. Overall, kids can expect a very positive and easygoing experience by going to Dr. Hirschberg!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gil Hirschberg for over 20 years. I moved to the Tampa area this year and came back to him for my regular Dental visit. I wouldnt go to anyone else. He is the Best by far!!! Well worth the drive from anywhere!!! I highly recommend him for the quality you want from a dentist. Thank you Dr. Hirschberg for making me have a beautiful smile.
