Their weight loss clinic is a complete scam. They do not do proper assessment of the cause of patients obesity. Instead they put everybody on high dose of highly addictive anorexic medication (narcotic). Patients will fill euphoric/happy and get addicted in no time. Soon patients come to the clinic only to continue to get addictive medication for weight loss. But those medications alone will not cause any weight loss. Patients need to change diet radically, treat underlying medical conditions (diabetes, thyroid problem, etc), balanced exercises, stress reduction, etc. People at the clinic do not explain it to the patients at all. The stuff give wrong sense of easiness of loosing weight with only narcotic medications. They do not warn patients that those weight medications are very addictive.

I had good hopes that Dr. Tamayo would be a great doctor for me. Like most men, I dont like visiting the doctors office. My first visit with him when well, even though it took almost an hour in the waiting room. Dr. Tamayo did apologize to his credit though. After going to my follow up visit, the doctor on call neglected to follow up with the issues of the first visit. After trying multiple times over a 4 week period, to contact this doctor at his office to resolve this - and even hand delivering a message for him to contact me, I received no call back. If you cant speak to your doctor, what does that say about his services? Sadly, its off to search for a new doctor and in todays system, this is no easy task!

Called the office to check if my mammogram results were back; the lady that answered the phone (Jennis) couldnt speak good English. She asked if I could put someone on the phone that speaks Spanish!!! AND got frustrated that she couldnt understand what I was asking of her. She went so far as to yelled at me as if I were a child. Thats so not acceptable. Im a native american and if I cant call my doctors office and speak to someone without an interpreter, thats not the office for me. IM TOTALLY LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PCP... HOW DARE YOU WANT ME TO HAVE SOMEONE TRANSLATE FOR MY RESULTS!!!

I recommend this clinic. I have lost 25 pounds in 1 month 1/2 and at the same time Im learning how to eat. Doctors are very helpful same as the medical staff . So far I love this office.
