RUDE, INSULTING EXPERIENCE Weds Oct 12, 2016 I scheduled an eye check appointment with Eyetrust on Weds Oct 12 6pm with my insurance, Eyemed. But I never made it to the center because I was contacted on the same day by a lady named Maria that they could not accept my insurance. I asked for the reason, and was told “ We don’t work with this type of insurance. We do accept Eyemed, but not this type of insurance.” I was more than confused so asked why. She went “ when I pulled up your insurance, it wasn’t automatically approved. Other patients were automatically approved. We had cases like this before, and we didn’t treat them. We cannot work with this type of insurance.” I went to my employer to ask why and my employer gave a call to Eyemed. Eyemed gave Eyetrust Vision a call while we were on hold, then Eyemed agent told us that Maria said her boss decided not to work with this type of insurance, but her boss not in office and she would discuss with her boss and call Eyemed back the following day. Thu Oct 13, 2016 I called Eyetrust vision again to ask if there was any update. Maria answered the call and told me “No. We don’t work with your insurance. No. Your type of insurance can go to Walmart.” I was shocked by the tone she was saying that! But I stayed calm and asked her :”what does it have to do with Walmart?” She repeated what she said in an uglier tone:” No, we don’t take this insurance. You can go to Walmart.” The call ended. I called back Eyemed and a gentleman helped me, tracing the note in the system that they were expecting a call from Eyetrust. So he put me on hold and called Eyetrust. After a while, he came back to the line and told me that “ I wasn’t able to speak with anyone at Eyetrust. A lady kept picking up and putting me back on hold.” He apologized and I agreed to wait longer. He went back after another while and said “Sorry madam, I was still not able to speak to anyone. They kept on putting me on hold.” And he suggested me to write file a complaint then transferred me to the department that handles complaint. I then went back to my HR since I was feeling not only frustrated but also very insulted by Maria’s words from Eyetrust. HR called Eyetrust, the same lady picked up the call and HR asked to speak with a supervisor. HR waited for a while and a lady started speaking, said her name was Maria. HR told the story again to what she recognizes as the same voice as the first Maria, thinking she was speaking to the same lady for 2 days. There was no solution or agreement reached. Is it possible that Eyetrust Vision has an receptionist, a manager and maybe an owner all named Maria?

Hace poco viajé a Miami para ver a mi hermana y su pareja con tan mala suerte que en el Aeropuerto perdieron mi maleta. Por suerte enseguida la recuperaron pero mis gafas estaban rotas. Al no disponer de más gafas que las lentes de contacto que llevaba puestas en el viaje tuve que hacerme unas deprisa. Mi hermana me llevó donde se las hizo ella (en Eyetrust Vision of Brickell) y después de elegir entre un sinfín de monturas y recibir un trato excelente conseguí mis gafas nuevas. Al final me compré unas lentes de contacto y unas gafas nuevas. Tengo que decir que las gafas fueron un poco capricho pero como me atendieron tan bien, tenían tantas donde elegir y las mías estaban para tirar, que no me pude resistir. La principal ventaja, a parte de un trato excelente, es la gran cantidad de gafas de todo tipo que tienen, tanto de vista como de sol y el trato amable y cercano. Una buena compra sin duda.

Miami has a TON of eye doctors and eyeglass shops, and I called at least half of them when I was in town visiting my daughter for a short vacation and my sweetheart little granddaughter decided she was going to wash MeeMees eyeglasses for her by putting them in the dishwasher when her mommy wasnt looking. My plastic framed travel glasses slipped down through the cracks of the machine and ended up on the heating element and that was all she wrote. I guess Miami is just one of those "always busy" places because every place I called told me that they couldnt get me in for at least a couple of days and honestly none of them acted like they really cared if they got my business or not. Eyetrust was the exception! I called, they answered after just one ring, were very polite and worked me in that afternoon. Everyone was very pleasant from the receptionist to the doctor and they were very resonably priced as far as I am concerned. It had been well over a year since my last eye exam, so they worked that in for me, improved my prescription (time, I swear, is the enemy of your eyes) and then the staff helped me pick out the right pair of glasses in my price range that fit the style I was looking for. If I lived here, this would be my new eye doctor! But even so, since I visit my daughter and her family at least once a year, I am thinking this place might just end up on my agenda everytime I am in town! Very pleasant experience and I highly recommend them!

I couldn’t avoid it anymore… I needed new glasses. I’ve been to a couple of eye doctors who didn’t seem to get my prescription right. My eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses made me feel disoriented, gave me a headache, or still had me squinting at signs. I’ll be honest; I had a bad experience years ago at an eye so I’m a little skittish. I read the reviews for Eyetrust and decided I would try them out since I really was struggling to see, especially at night. I knew I would lose my nerve if I had to make an appointment and wait a few weeks to be seen, so I walked right in. First off, I want to say that even though many businesses advertise walk-ins, they really can’t see you right away. I didn’t have the problem at Eyetrust. They fit me right in for my eye exam without causing everyone else delays. I have to say how wonderful they were with calming my nerves. They made me feel very comfortable and the speed in which I was in and out definitely helped my nerves. Now, for the biggest bonus of all, my eyeglasses were ready the same day, and I finally can see for the first time without headaches or dizziness. My prescription glasses feel natural and I often forget I am wearing them. I’ve recommended them to my friends for the friendly staff, awesome and competent service and the great selection of designer eyeglasses and sunglasses.

very disappointed with this establishment, on the 2nd February i made an appointment through their website to see Dr. Matthew Chrycy at 2pm on the 17th February, i was emailed the appointment confirmation right after making the appointment. i was flying into Miami specifically for this appointment so i booked my ticket to get into Miami on the 16th so ill be there early enough to get to my appointment on the 17th. today i was told that my appointment couldnt be fulfilled on the 17th because theyre booked i would have to come on the 10th or 22nd, i explained that i already booked & paid for my plane ticket just to fly in for this and i only booked my ticket after getting their appointment email confirmation and they still werent able to assist me and only said that i cant come in on my appointment date again. even if the appointment was not available for that time they didnt even try to assist and fit me in for another time on that day or even care to email me and let me know that the appointment isnt possible for that day. its a good thing i called before going.... now i have a useless plane ticket & hotel booking. THANKS ALOT Eyetrust Vision
