Unacceptable, in fact beneath contempt. 4 visits - done. Based on many observations, two major problems: (1) technical incompetence resembling "procedure salemen" routines, and (2) ethical breaches a la "bait and switch" double talk, etc. Not unique unfortunately, but an illustrative example - typical cash-in dental industry corruption around here. 1st visit, Dr. Thompson pitched a crowded dental plan antithetical to any credible sign of dental health concern on her part. All procedures of no benefit to my situation, in fact potentially detrimental (resolved by a competent, respectably credibly dentist thank goodness, in Spring Hill). Including "implant" where I had no bone to hold one (NOT a candidate ! !). 3rd strike & out: she starts pitching Invisalign, a high "profit margin" dental storyline - for which I had no need, nor wouldve benefitted (unless getting ripped off is good for my teeth - or pocketbook). But last straw (yesterday) another ethical violation, of "because we can" entitlement, exempt from scruples (there must logically be no law to stop such bait and switch scam). A teeth cleaning appt, set for over a month - simple. Yet once Im "in chair," their story undergoes weird torsion, changes all around, Brave New Details fancifully added, jump out from behind cover on Clear Intent - trying to forced sell me X-rays by ultimatum. How grimly determined? Im kindly bully-advised, theyre not gonna do my D1110 as apptd except on condition that I submit. Non-negotiable, imperious demand suddenly levied, handed down from on high, by some - dentist? A guy Ive never even heard of & vice versa - never seen me as a patient, I felt bad for the unlucky hygienist conscripted to deliver the bad news from guy concealed in his office, acting out his authority - nice try. I present GD with lowest marks especially for its entire manner of operation, a real circus with all the stunts they pull. Seems just another contemptible, manipulative operation in our local dental industries consortium. There may not be a law saying they cant pull ambush-in-the-chair, this dictated agenda strategy, using sudden surprise tactics. If law says they can play Bait and Switch, threatening to withhold services unless patient will be subordinated, ok whatever. I hold such transparent, manipulative ploys as a form of con. I guess clever tactics work often enough, thats what perpetuates and "inspires" them. Its so easy, all leveraged with the customer in need of dental care service led on - till hes right there in the chair, where they want him. I can only conclude that is a scumbagging manner of dental health care biz. If it were illegal, itd be a violation. As is, just an egregious breach of professional ethics, completely unacceptable by any standard. Crass exploitation maneuvers like this office specializes in, seemingly, strike me as - questionable. Im not real sure what to think of this type thing, or how to properly appreciate them. But no matter; right you are Grand Dentist. Youre not going to render service you apptd with me - nor any other. You bungled that with your last minute power-play strategy. Howd that work for you? Im good with it - I feel like we understand each other now. At best well never cross paths again, good riddance. But failing that, random encounter - Ill politely pretend I dont recognize you. Id appreciate same courtesy in return - if you got it in you. If that happens - lets play it like weve never even met.

The back office staff are kind, patient, and understanding. The doctors are fine, if you get one of the three you request, most times you get shifted to whomever is there that day. The front office staff are some of the most hateful, disorganized, and rude people imaginable. I called for a dental cleaning appt. I was told by a male receptionist that since I could not afford the $1500 treatment on my teeth that they would not clean my teeth in the meantime. He said they would refuse service! So having all my dental work rot and fall out because I can not afford a huge bill at that time, being self pay, is better than keeping them up to date? I hung up the phone and called back a couple days later for my records so I could use another dentist, one willing and patient enough to work with me on my dental issues. The woman literally huffed over the phone and gave me attitude because she was busy as she stated. She acted like I was causing them such an inconvenience she couldnt be bothered. I could literally hear her eyes roll back when I asked for her to fax me a release form. Never again! Buyer Beware if you can navigate the chainsaw like attitudes and toxic behavior of the front office staff youll do well with the professionalism past the doors. That is unless they try to up sell you dental procedures. I wish you luck and I wish you better care than I received!

Ive been going here for years. Im finally sick of it and ready to go to a trustworthy dentist. THey suggested my daughter needed a frenectomy to remove the piece of skin between her two front teeth since she had a space. Well she was only 10 and I told them her father and I both had a space at that age and it closed up. They wanted several hundred dollars to do that procedure and we told them no. Then...they tried to push Invisalign on my two kids (one who was only SIX at the time!!!) and the final straw was when she suggest it for ME...I have perfectly straight teeth--even the hygienist 5 minutes before kept commenting on how perfect my teeth were!! Also, she suggested I need a crown for a VERY slightly cracked back molar to the tune of $1000...and my insurance says at the most, any crown should only cost $499!! She tried to throw in a bunch of other "procedures" with generic insurance codes. I didnt go for it and they had the finance lady come talk to me about getting financed. NO. THANKS. Thats the last time Ill ever go there. They are only after your hard-earned money.

My fiancé went in for a yearly routine cleaning covered under her dental insurance. Durning the cleaning she was informed she needed a crown and it would be covered 80% under the insurance. With it being covered at 80% she scheduled the appointment. Two weeks later upon arriving to the dentist for her scheduled appointment, she was informed the insurance would only cover $45 of the crown and she needed to pay $255 that day and the remaining balance of $350 would be billed. Since she had taken a half day off work and was sitting in the waiting room aggravated at the situation she decided to proceed with the crown. Four weeks later we recieved no bill. She called the office and was told she had a credit of $155 because her insurance paid more than expected. Two months later we were contacted by the office stating we had a $350 balance that we need to take care of. This situation sounded strange to me from the beginning. I would advise not to deal with this dental office.

My husband and I left here today at approximately two pm. We went in for a tooth extraction. When I first called to inquire about the services the women on the phone was extremely patient and caring although I was not being the nicest due to my husband being in excruciating pain and me being aggravated. Well when we got there we were told the tooth extraction would be upwards of four hundred dollars which like most Americans today that type of money usually isnt lingering in our bank accounts to be used frivolously. Well BONNIE the finance manager was absolutely the best we not only got help but my husband had his tooth extracted pronto and he is now walking and talking. Thank you guys so much for your fast and helpful customer service. I will recommend not once not twice but 100x -the Boyds
