The bottom line here is that this is a dental sweatshop fully equipped with cubicles and the scurrying of employees from one patient to the next with the only goal of up-selling and getting you back ASAP. This is a chain. The current dentist at this location is not the problem. He (Bowen) is actually pretty skilled. The management of this location is utterly and blatantly unprofessional. Anyone having to deal with Maddy (the office "manager") will know exactly what I am talking about. For instance, and there are many, once I had a bridge done. The temporary fell out and the dentin was exposed, if you have never experienced this -- this is the most painful feeling Ive ever felt (and Ive had many and have a high tolerance for pain) - do you know what Maddy told me? "Oh, dont worry about it -- just take a Tylenol or better yet go to the pharmacy and get some temporary dental cement." Ultimately I did go back to get the bridge work completed and was also set up with a followup with the hygienist. She was gone before we met again - what did the office do? They kept canceling my appointment while they tried to get a replacement or a temp to fill the spot. I found this out through a colleague that was a patient. She, too, has since cut them off. So, yes, the turnover here is high. One day its the receptionist, the next its the hygienist. Do yourself a favor - skip the dental sweatshops and look for a private practice where you can get the one on one you deserve. Check with your insurance -- more and more are available today and this no longer considered a luxury. I do not expect this office (or chain for that matter) to be in business much longer. Full disclosure: I was a sucker, erm, patient for over three years. I stuck around because of the convenience (close to home) and because of the dentist and hygienist (i liked them both). But now I am reassessing all the work (amounting in thousands of dollars [not covered]) that I had done in the past and Im considering therapy. Good luck.

This office here at the Orange City location, is the BEST! dental office I ever been at. Dr. Bowen has totally fixed my problematic teeth, that Ive had problems with for many years. He was a miracle worker with my teeth, and still is, in maintaining them. He does with no other dentist has done for me, and remind you I am 63 years old. Dr Bowen has a wonderful assistant whos name is Tonya. She is equally professional as Dr. Bowen is. Thu Ha Bacha, ( Pronounced TooHa ) is my hygienist there at Coast Dental. I must honestly say that she is the VERY BEST! hygienist EVER! ( GUARANTEED ) you wont find anyone better. BELIEVE ME! She is a wonderful lady. Very experienced, very professional, charming and charismatic. The front desk lady, Maddie has always been very helpful and accommodating to me. Always wearing a very pleasant smile. Very professional, as is the office manager, Crystal. A RARE FIND DENTAL OFFICE! Thank you Orange City Coast Dental.

I walked into the office for my first appointment and they refused to see me because I had my two children with me. My children were sitting in the waiting area quietly and were not even give it a chance to see if they were or were not disruptive before we were rejected. Now mind you my children are patients of this office they are four and five years old but the receptionist says they dont see children under 7 they have been getting paid for the past six months for my children who are four and five but refused to see them and refused to even let them inside the office according to the receptionist visits Coast Dental company policy this is a disgusting and discriminatory policy if you have children do not go to this office it is appalling that service animals are allowed legally in facilities but a human child is not allowed inside these offices this is the most disgusting company I have ever dealt with

I was rather sceptical after I had read the listed reviews about this business. Most of the reviews were from 2013 and 2014. Apparently there have been significant changes to the operation. I was very pleased with my cleaning, tooth and filling repairs. The people here are very polite, curteous and performed professionally. The technicians were very helpful in explaining the procedures so that I had nothing to be concerned about. I will be returning for my followup visit without any further apprehension as to the professionalism of this dental office. Thumbs up to a great operation.

Very professional. Everyone treated my daughter very good. Every time we have an appointment we never have to wait long. My daughter needs braces which her insurance does not cover. The office manager, Crystal, got on the phone right away to get my daughter an appointment in Deland office to see the orthodontist. She was very knowledgeable as to what we could do in order to help my daughter with her orthodontic issues. Will recommend Coast Dental to family and friends. Coast Dental Orange City is the best.

Every appointment I made was rescheduled due to the dentist being sick. One with 30 minutes notice the other I was on the way to have a root canal and they were supposed to do the crown right afterwards. On one vist while sitting in the chair waiting while the dentist was bouncing around a tooth from way across the room went whizzing by my head. When I looked around to see where it landed I noticed several teeth on the floor. Didnt seem very clean to me.

Bottom of the barrel as far as dentist go. Horrendously incompetent staff.id go as far as to say if the dentist wasnt on drugs they were not qualified to work on even a dead animal.i would not even trust them to work on road kill.no joke.your dental health is important so go to a sober and qualified dentist.

My God the best dentist ever!!!..Dr.Bowen is a beast with angel hands...and the staff is so kind and professional...also very knowledgeable and are there to answer all your questions with no problems or attitudes..amazing staff overall...Im very extremely happy...just found my new dentist!!!!

I had my appointment for my cleaning yesterday with Thu-Ha Bacha. It was another great experience at Coast Dental of Orange City. Dr. Bowen and his staff are the best!!! I live in Daytona Beach Shores now and I still travel over 30 miles to go to them.

Dr. Bowen is great! Very easy going and efficient. I waited not too long to be called to the back for an x-ray and wisdom tooth removal. Staff was prompt for the removal, was sent home with clear instructions.
