Many years ago I had to get cosmetic work done to my teeth to address serious discoloration due to a medication I was taking at the time. Early last year the cosmetic bonding began to fall out, and I needed help quickly. I researched dentists in and around Deland who could see me on short notice, and Dr. Juma was both very well reviewed and his staff got me in for an appointment the very next day. It quickly became clear that the old bonding was past its expected life span, and more would be falling out bit by bit. I was faced with the very serious personal and financial decision of whether to replace the old bonding each time it fell out, or fix the problem for at least the next 25 years with veneers. Dr. Juma patiently walked me through the decision-making processes, going over all the pros and cons of bonding versus veneers. It became clear that the best long-term investment by far would be to get the veneers, even thought Dr. Juma never pushed me in either direction, and just gave me the facts and the big picture. Fast forward a few months, and I was walking around sporting a perfect smile. I can honestly say that my expectations were exceeded beyond a point that I thought was even possible. The level of craftsmanship and artistry was astounding, and I can attest to the fact that not only are Dr. Jumas technical skills exceptional, but he is a true sculptor, and I now walk around with a work of art in my mouth! Dr. Juma really went the extra mile, and the rest of his staff were exceptional and super friendly and helped make me comfortable and put my mind at ease over what was a challenging and often stressful set of procedures spread out over several weeks. In the end, I feel lucky that the old bonding was falling out. Now that the aesthetic work is complete, I continue to see Dr. Juma as my regular dentist, and having experienced the depth and range of his skillset under the most challenging of circumstances, I have 100% confidence that I am in expert hands even for routine work and maintenance.

I had almost lost hope when I finally found Coast Dental and they took my insurance. I went through the first exam and talked about the plan with the very cute Dr. Juan. He told me I needed a total top plate of dentures and with him and his very pretty dental assistant Lisa could save the six front bottom teeth and make a partial for the bottom. I wasnt sure at first cause I figured if Im going to get the top I might as well do the entire bottom. I spent a lot of time thinking and the staff was so nice any time I would call with questions Monica, Samantha, Tania, Sabrina, or Paula where very helpful to answer and reassure me that the lower teeth only sit on the bone and that my own teeth would help keep the partial in place. Its been two months now since Ive had them done and I cried the first time I saw my smile in the little mirror Dr. Juan handed me. The first week was super painful and I lived to far away to get adjustments so I listen to the instructions and kept putting them in every morning and then when I couldnt take the pain anymore I would take them out till the next day. I did everything to make them feel better so I changed the glue I used to the generic kind it was perfect... now I dont even realize they arent my teeth...love them all like my second family...now all my family and friends are looking into go to Coast Dental.... the best place to find your smile!!!!

Coast Dental was really amazing. The staff was very competent and caring. They explained everything that was going on with me and helped me understand my options for my dental care. They also explained their SmilePlus program so I could make an informed decision about how to pay since I dont have insurance. Lisa Bedenbaugh , the hygienist, was very kind to me and explained everything to me so I could have full confidence in my dental care. The dentist, Zahid Juma, also took the time to explain everything he was doing while he was doing it, giving me peace of mind as I knew what was going on. The entire staff was wonderful, kind and considerate. I was very nervous but they made me feel a whole lot better. I have definitely found the dentist (and hygienist!) I will be going to. Add on: Today I went in to get two cavities filled. Paula and Dr. Juma did wonderfully. It was quick, painless and not too expensive! I will definitely be referring others to this location.

I love this place. Ive feared the dentist my whole life and have avoided them. When that bit me in the butt, I was recommended here (specifically to Dr. Juma, not just Coast Dental) and it was the best decision. Theyre nice and non shaming even if your teeth are crap like mine. Even if your appointment is a little far away, they have you on standby and call you with an earlier appointment. They also run on time, if not early, which is very rare for any doctor of any sort. I highly recommend them, even above sedation dentistry which Ive tried and hated.If youre a dentist-phobe like me, I really implore you to check Dr. Juma and his staff out. I had FIVE teeth worked on over the course of 2 months and each appointment I experienced no pain and only slight discomfort. They also ask often if Im ok and have readministered novocaine when the discomfort was more than I wanted to deal with.

El trato es excelente, son muy profesionales, el dentista es joven pero muy bueno, sabe lo q esta haciendo, recomiendo la oficina, toda mi familia se atiende aquí. El doctor q me atendio es muy profesional , su asistente Monica lo mismo, ella habla español lo que lo va ayudar mucho, creo que son las mejores profesionales q me han atendido, los trabajadores de la oficina tienen un trato excelente

I absolutely love it here at coast dental, I just moved down to florida and was recommended to go to costal dental and boy was I satisfied they had extremely polite and friendly staff members. I gave them a call for a emergency visit for one of my wisdom tooth and the receptionist Tania was very helpful by scheduling me in same day and come to find out my tooth needed to be extracted before it got worst long story short the dentist got me in and out very quick with no pain what so ever it has been definitely the best dentist visit I have ever been in my life Im recommending coast dental to all my friends and family with no hesitation.

Worst dentist office ever! I have never had ANY problems with my mouth, except for a simple bit alignment. Which was fixed when I was lilke 13. Other than that I brush my teeth twice daily and floss daily, and I hardly ever eat sweets. I receive my cleanings twice yearly. My old dentist always checks me off for having GREAT teeth. I just moved here and needed a dentist. My first visit took about 2 and a half hours. They tried to tell me I was in the 5th stage of periodontal disease! Mind you, I have never had a cavity and my teeth are perfectly straight. And I needed a tooth extracted!! I have insurance and my bill was still $305!
