Dr. Craven pushes immunizations more than Dr. Franzs philosophy. We got a lecture from the doc about 15 minutes late for our appointment, saying we were lucky she chose to see us (WE WERE 15 min EARLY as verified by our checkout sheets when we left). The font office (especially the office manager (Luann) and the lady who you go to to check out and schedule future appoints (Melanie) are rude, almost hostile. At a prior appointment I had my twin babies there and needed to feed them after the appointment for started (of course they were fussy). A nurse asked, "can I please feed one!" Of course I said yes and she was very loving to our little guy. At todays appointment I got to here about the offices frustration and how a nurse HAD to feed my baby, like we were such an inconvenience. On another note, my 2&3 year old had a simple shot visit today, only took and hour and a half. Seriously... that is way to long to expect kids that age to sit (with good attitudes) waiting to have something done they dread - getting shots. Weve been at the Franz center for 6 months, today was our last visit. We chose the Franz Center because of their philosophy of care, but their execution is terrible. There are two doctors there that are excellent (Dr. Diana Smith & Dr. Debi Wills). I would follow them elsewhere if they chose to leave the center, but unfortunately its not worth the rest of the experience.

I have been going to this center for 4 years. Lots has improved but still, there are issues. 1. You will ALWAYS wait. In the lobby and in the little room. 2. The rooms are not sanitized between patients unless its one of the baby rooms. Why? Who knows, but it dawned on me when it never smelled of the usual Lysol, Clorox or vinegar. Nothing. Pretty much every time I had a well visit with my children I could anticipate that 72 hours later they would have a fever, croup (most recently this visit a week ago), hand foot and mouth or something else where Id need to miss work, pick up early from daycare etc. 3. I met Dr Franz ONCE. in 4 years. 4. Every time there was a balance theyre so HAPPY to ask for that money. I hated it. 5 overall the staff is OUTSTANDING, many young ARNPs though, who have no children. I love the natural and common sense approach, but Im just not crazy about this place anymore. I will be seeking another Dr, that I can see every time I go to the office.

This website limits the amount of characters I can type therefore reducing my ability to leave detailed examples. Just know that the entire 1 1/2yrs my children have been patients at The Franz Center we have yet to see or visit with the actual doctor. You will only visit with the nurse practitioners providing you questionable advice (with the exception of one). I got the feeling that the holistic medicine suggestions were scripted & the herbal supplements sold in office were pushed as optimal treatment but in reality are loaded with GMO ridden soy and other additives children should not be ingesting. Expect to be offered an appointment 1-2 days out for urgent matters (UTIs, ear infections, pink eye...) and expect to be feed $68 per child if this appointment is canceled to go someplace else sooner. Stay far away from this fee ridden lack of care office!

We first saw Dr Franz 21 years ago. I cannot thank God enough for putting her into our lives! Weve since had 4 children "graduate out" into adulthood. We have 2 left "in the nest". I highly recommend Dr. Franz! She takes the time to listen, respects you as a parent, offering her knowledge and experience to obtain optimum health. Shes an honest down to earth, face to face doctor. Shes real. I love her, and shes worth the wait in the office, and worth the price they charge. God bless you Dr Franz! Thank you for being there for us all these years!

If you are looking for a Pediatrician that will work with your child without prescribing all the pharmaceuticals the typical Docs will then give the Franz Center a try. Do expect some complimentary and alternative options like Homeopathy, Chinese Herbal Teas, and Acupuncture. I dont recommend voicing your skepticism of these things with the staff but dont worry about being looked down upon if you choose to refuse them. For a practice that takes insurance I dont think you can do much better in Orlando.

Staff is personable with a high turnover rate. You can be early, on time or even late with an empty office and still expect some sort of half-hearted apology from their mismanaged time and communication. You are subject to waiting an hour or more for someone to see you for basic well visits. This is with on the spot sick visits taking 10 minutes and being placed as priority. If you have a day to spend in a room waiting for someone to never show up or at least communicate. This is the place to be.

Weve been at the franz center for almost 7 years now. Our three kids have continued to be cared for each in a specialized way. We have learned so much from their office staff & classes-that we feel empowered as parents to treat our childrens needs with a blend of eastern and western medicine. Dr.Franz has seen us after hours for various emergencies over the years & continues to educate us with her knowledge & expertise.

My son is now an amazing young man who was able to seek alternative medicine with Dr. Franz guidance. Thank you Dr. Franz! You gave my family support when no one else would. 15 years ago. Cannot rate Dr. Franz & staff high enough. On point and perfect advice time and again, even for not-your-usual stuff. Love them dearly. PS For those complaining about appointments, they now offer weekend and virtual appointments. So please stop.
