I found LasikPlus and Dr Groden by Googling "best lasik surgeon." Hes listed as one of the top Lasik providers in the nation. LasikPluss website gave me my first impression: professional, efficient, friendly. Its very easy to schedule your free consult. Next, the facility and staff continued the positive experience. The staff has been with Dr Groden for many years. Each member is friendly, skilled, and, again, professional. The consult was fascinating for me, as Im a healthcare provider and interested in the technical details of the eval and procedure. After working with Patty, who performed the initial assessments, I met with Dr Grand. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I decided on the PRK rather than LASIK procedure. The pre-procedure instructions were very clear, and the staff even called me a few times before to confirm my appointment and see if I had any concerns. On the day of the procedure, the front staff made sure I understood the consent forms. Then the surgical assistant reviewed my post-op instructions. Dr Groden spoke with me and explained how the procedure would go. The actual PRK procedure took maybe 7 minutes. Dr Groden talked to me the whole time and let me know what he was doing. It was very easy for me, no anxiety at all. I can honestly say it was 100% pain- and discomfort-free. I found it all fascinating. I was seeing clearer the second it was complete. Dr Groden is phenomenal. The next day, I came for the follow up. Verdict: healing perfectly and 20/20 vision! The next few days involved some recovery, but even then there wasnt any pain. Now, a week later, its like everything is in HD! All the staff and doctors at this facility are amazing. Thanks again to them and Dr Groden for giving me the 20/20 sight I always wanted. This opens new doors for me in life. If you want LASIK or PRK, look no farther than LasikPlus of Tampa.

Dr. Groden, you are an angel in disguise! My vision has been completely restored, at the end of my surgery, I asked Dr. Frozen for a hug because I could see immediately !!! After having my vision corrected at Lasik Plus, I can read the fine print on e everything. More specifically, I can see things I didnt know were right in front of me. From the moment I walked into your center, your wonderful staff spoke with such enthusiasm in thier voices, which made me feel comfortable. They answered all my questions and that helped to calm my fears....they made me feel excited about the possibility of seeing again. The office environment is warm, and relaxing, and the young ladies at the front desks, have million dollars smile and greater personality... And, Dr Thien-Tang is so friendly, kind and thorough in her assessment / testing of the eyes, even though she looks like she drinks from the fountain of youth ... Does Not look a day over 21. Moreover, Emily helped to clam my nerves day of surgey, such a beautiful smile. Finally, the icing on the cake was the brief time I spent in surgery, it was over before I knew it has started. Yet, Prior to surgery you, Dr. Groden, spent time talking with me; letting me know step-by-step what will occur; you told me what to expect; and you answered my questions to ensure I was not only confident in the procedure, but I was instantly confident in you, and confident I made the right decision. Today I am writing my review from my phone -- wow! In the past I would talk text because I couldnt see what I was texting without reading glasses--but as a superhero from the Lasik Plus, I leave behind one regret..., which is... I should have come to sooner, who knew how much of life I was missing until you corrected my vision via Lasik! Thank so much! May the lights of your business always stay on!

I was always scared to get lasik because comon its my eyes, my vision. But after years of wanting it I finally did research and there is not one case of anything that went wrong with someone having lasik. I choose LasikPlus Tampa because All the reviews were positive and this facility and Dr. had the best reviews out of any lasik facility in my area. Everyone from the Desk receptionists to Michelle the vision tech, to Dr. Katherine Dao, to Emily with pricing to Dr. Groden who performs the Lasik, were very welcoming, warm and friendly. They answered any question I had and reassured me everything was going to be fine. The procedure itself went by like a breeze ( even though up until laying on the table I got very nervous) I didnt feel any pressure, pain or discomfort. Dr. Groden talked to me the whole time, which made the procedure go by fast because it took my mind off what was really going on. It had to be the fastest 10 mins of my life. The aftercare was pretty simple too both inflammatory and antibiotic drops in both eyes 4 times a day for 7 days. The next day after the procedure I could see 20/15. Now I am a week and 4 days out and my vision is so clear, even my night vision is better. There was nothing negative I can say about the procedure or aftercare. I wish I did it sooner. They offer finance plans, carecredit, insurance discounts, and a discount if you book within 2 weeks I believe. I purchaes the lifetime enhancement plan and The first year of appts are included. Every person is different per price, due to difference in vision and eye shape etc etc. I couldnt be anymore happier with the results. Thank you Dr. Groden, Thank you everyone at LasikPlus Tampa!

Well, its been 6 months since my LASIK operation. I purposely waited for some time to go by before I wrote my review. One reason I wish I had written it earlier is because I would have remembered all the staffs names. I have mixed feelings about my LASIK experience...I feel the staff thoroughly explained what to expect from the time youre okayd to become a LASIK candidate to your operation date. And, everything they say will happen on, and a little bit after, your operation day is pretty spot-on. My frustration is coming from the blurriness, or ghosting, or whatever its called thats still happening 6 months after my procedure, and a couple of appointments outside of their 3-month post-op standard. I think I was told my eyes "should take about 3 months to adjust." And, its been six. My last visit, sometime last month, I was recommended some low-strength +.75 reading glasses by one of the doctors there. Now, I was told prior to my operation that "I may eventually need reading glasses in my life. " I didnt think it would be 6 months after my procedure. I took a picture in their office the day day of my procedure with a sign that said "My last day with glasses," or something like that, and that was what I was excited for, and expected. I feel like I still need glasses, just not as bad as I did before. Hence, why I was probably recommended reading glasses with a lower strength than the prescription progressive bifocals I had prior to my procedure. Im hoping I eventually end up getting the vision I expected. I hope its just taking my eyes a little longer than typical to adjust from the LASIK procedure.

Had the free consultation on 11/26/16. Clean space, friendly people from the moment you walk in. Minimum paperwork and they finance everyone regardless of credit and provide options for paying. Thank you for that! Went in 11/29/16 for procedure. Finished paperwork, got eye drops and watched the procedure done on other people. It was an amazing process to watch and calmed me down watching how it was done. Enjoyed watching TV set up on the eye Durning it all. My procedure went quickly. Dr Groden and his staff were awesome. Talked me thru every step. Numbed my eyes told to look at green light, he cleaned my eyes got them set up for Lasik which is kinda loud and smells like burning but its just machine not eyes.. before I knew it I was going home. (Maybe 10 mins start to finish) Though my eyes were blurry I had some vision. Discomfort for the first 4 days so far and eyes are swollen. Still very blurry. History on me Im 30 year old female practically blind most of my life. Had glasses since i was 5 years old and contacts since 16. I had the prk done. My contacts were -6.0. Had checkup on 3rd day after, contacts removed and told I have 20/40 vision. Im still waiting on the clear moment to come and will update on recovery. Check this place out, you wont be disappointed.
