We arrived at the emergency room of Winter Garden Florida hospital last evening at 7:40 pm. The waiting room was empty and only other one person came in while we were there. The emergency area certainly did not appear busy. There were no ambulances in the parking lot etc. , but looks can be deceiving. My husband, who had recently had major surgery had a severe pain his leg. We had been cautioned by his surgeons staff that a blood clot in the leg was a concern after this procedure and we were told that this should be treated as an emergency. By 7:50 we had been ushered into a room and within 5 more minutes he had been seen by two nursing staff. We explained our concern about a blood clot and gave details about the surgery etc., and then we were left alone in that room for nearly 45 minutes until I went to ask for assistance. Ten more minutes passed before someone from administration came with forms to be signed. At 9:00pm, another staff member came in to apologize for the delay, acknowledging that the wait was unacceptable for an emergency, which a blood clot, if it became dislodged, would be. He stated that he was waiting for a doctor who had just arrived on duty and my husband was to be his first patient. While sitting waiting for this doctor, I was able to google blood clots and determined that based upon my husbands symptoms, and the lack of enthusiasm by the staff to treat him, that his condition must not be either an emergency or a blood clot. At 9:35 pm, we left the emergency and the hospital without ever having seen a doctor. No one else ever came into the room the entire time. No one in the hallways asked why we were leaving because there was virtually no staff to be seen. Someone at reception did thank us for visiting their hospital on our way out through the lobby! I think I will make the trek to a different hospital, even if its farther away, should we have an emergency arise again.

My daughter and I was pretty much "forced" to go to this ER after we were involved in a car accident. I had been to this ER myself before and the whole place is a joke! They will keep you overnight for chest pain; however they will not do any cardiac work out besides blood draws. ( No echo, stress test, nothing!!). So what is the reason to keep you overnight??? $$$$ Back to the time I was taken there with my daughter after a car accident, I had a head concusion, I was severe nauseated, pain everywhere and they did not even bothered to start an IV!! They gave me Ibprofen for pain and zofran pill for my nausea, which then made my condition worse. There is no real ER that would ever give a patient medication by mouth if they are vomiting/nauseous!!! Ibprofen for pain after a car crash?? My husband was the one who demanded them to do a CT scan on me!! The results = normal! OF COURSE!! My daughter s xray= NORMAL!! Two days after we went to FL hospital s rival ER!! Tsk tsk!! I received decadron IV to decrease any spinal pressure I was having. MRI = showed two lumbar disc extrusion causing spinal stenosis. In less than a week I was on a OR table with a STAT discectomy due to cauda equina syndrome!! Ahhh, about my daughter, she had the head of her femur dislocated!! Founded by FL hospital rival ED!! *** Come on FL Hospital, you better start training your nurses, doctors and other clinical team to be a better patient advocates. How many more people are you going to left injured and untreated with high medical bills?? What is going to take for all your misdiagnosis?? **** ZERO STAR***

Funny how I see all the reviews about making people wait forever and today I called because I was going to be 10 minutes late because my car didnt start and had to call an uber to get there. CALLED BEFORE HAND to make sure they were ok with it since my husband was going to get out of work early to come with me, they told me I could be there up to 15 minutes late. Get there exactly 7(SEVEN) minutes late and they told me theyre not going to see me because the person who was going to do my ultrasound said no. Unbelievable this exceptional customer service when they should be retaining customers since you can tell they have NO CLIENTS. Obviously will never be returning back! And eo extremely dissapointed since that was the only opportunity my husband was going to have to see our baby. But hopefully the person who was supposed to do the ultra-sound enjoyed her time doing nothing. NOT TO MENTION that this was my second time going there and the first time I went I waited OVER 45 minutes. And the girl who did my ultrasound told me they do 2 hour windows from app to app so that they have time if situations like this happen. So kuddos to whoever was "working" today and more than certainly did not want to do HER JOB.

This was the worst ER I have ever been to. Its new the hospital itself was nice but the staff was awful. I was in some of the worst pain I had ever expierienced and they did nothing. They treated me like I was a pill seeker. The back of my neck was swollen to the size of a softball and my mom kept asking the doctor to please come look and be stayed across the room the whole time saying "yeah sometimes this happens." The nurses wouldnt even look. The basically doped me up and sent me home. Its been almost a month and Ive seen my general practitioner and a chiropractor and neither have been able to help, but they at least looked at me told me what the believe is going on. I will never go back to this hospital again. I dont appreciate not being looked at in the slightest, having pain killers shoved down my throat and then sent home.

Today marks the third time I have waited more than 2 days for a return phone call. I complained on my last visit to the "Practice Manager". He assured me that if I ever had another issue, I should call him, and hed address it immediately. Well, I am waiting for almost 3 days for him to return my call now. This is in regard, as I explained, to a prescription I NEED to have refilled. There is absolutely no excuse to run a business, let alone a healthcare office, this way. If you have too many patients to be able to take care of them, perhaps you ought to reconsider that as well. I, emphatically, DO NOT recommend Florida Hospital Group!!! I will be changing doctors as soon as I can find a new one.

Brand new hospital. Small. Support staff friendly, helpful, young and mostly female. I joked with my wife that they must only hire men as security guards. Wait times terrible for ER - a two hour wait even though we were literally the only patient there. I suppose thats typical, but it could have been much faster. Sent us home with a 3-day supply of pain meds guessing at a diagnosis without performing an MRI or even an x-ray. I guess next time well ask. Wheelchairs very fancy and new with cool features like a crutches holder and foot brake. Hospital design is very modern, like a med bay on a spaceship. 3 weeks later, got an x-ray and found two bone fractures, which was infuriating.
