Why am I giving this hospital 1 star? Lets start with the emergency room. I brought my 81yr old aunt in thinking she had a blood clot. Come to find out she had cellulitis. The doctor admits her So with that being said i go home to get a few things for the next few days. I come back into her room in the emergency department low n behold shes lying there butt naked with a male nurse taking her blood and shes half on the bed and half off the bed wit legs between the bed bars. I cover her up n talk to the charge nurse she tells me that my aunt has been doing that this whole time. I know that was a lie I only been gone for 10mins. I let that slide. We get upstairs in her room and I have permission to sleep in her room but low n behold 430 am the charge nurse wakes me up asking me questions. Everything was fine n dandy until she finds out that I dont get paid for taking care of my own aunt. Thats when Im told to leave her room n that i can no longer sleep in her room. I let that slide. So I go to my doctors appointment and Im gone for about 5hrs. When i come back theres my aunt crying saying her butt hurts. I roll her over and shes lying in a shitty ass diaper and bed. I mean shes covered in it. I ask her how long shes been like that and she says for at least 3hrs. I know for a fact if a patient is bedridden nurses are to turn the patient every 2 hrs. Which they have not been doing not to mention my aunt had been here for 2days before she started receiving her usual medicine. I will never ever bring her here again. Rude ass nurses and nursing assistants.

I wont go into details but my dad was at CAMC General for 49 days following an accident. He was in ICU for 40 of those days and was not expected to live the night he arrived. Three years later my dad was at Cleveland Clinic for 21 days for a risky and major heart procedure that CAMC would not/could not attempt. Later in 2012 my family and I was talking about those experiences and we all said the same thing....that the care, the attention to my dads condition, the efforts by the doctors and and the way they treated our family at CAMC General was vastly better than what we received at Cleveland Clinic. The doctors at CAMC General just simply would not give up on him and did everything possible to keep him alive. On the other hand, the doctors at Cleveland simply gave up on my dad when he didnt awaken from the heart surgery on their timetable. They transferred him out as quickly as they could. CAMC General isnt the prettiest or fanciest hospital by far.....and not even close to Cleveland Clinic as far as "looks" go..... but Id go there 100 times before Id make the trek to Cleveland again. Happy to say that my dad is still with us. He is partially disabled from the surgery at Cleveland but were still very thankful to have him hanging around with us.

"Dr."Molly Johns is an arrogant, insensitive shrew with no bedside manner at all. She is more concerned with being right than treating her patients with any dignity or respect. Someone should tell her that bedside manner is just as much a part of the job as administering tests or writing scripts. Perhaps she should go into research as her "personality" is better suited to interacting with lab rats than people. That is exactly how she treats her patients-like lab rats, not living, breathing, frightened human beings. She should have a doctor treat her the way she treats her patients. She better be glad there is a physician shortage, or she would be out of a job. The rest of the staff was great.

Im giving CAMC General 1 measly little star that dont even deserve because my 17 month old son was tripped by our dog on his tie out and had broken his Femur bone, we were transferred there and low and behold they complained 2 CPS cuz I was laying nxt 2 him 2 keep him calm by the way he went from 9 pm Thursday Night 2 12 noon Friday without eating waiting 2 b taken 2 Pre op. They complained and after his surgery they still disnt get him anything 2 eat we had 2. Only 1 nurse Lisa was very sweet and genuine and made us feel relaxed and takin care of. She is on 5S. I love her thank u 4 all u have done 4 us Lisa, I wish I could see u again I hope u can get 2 c this.

If you have a choice, go anywhere but general.Memorial is better. General is the trauma hospital in town and they are overwhelmed n the quality of care is very poor. There was a stroke patient sleeping in the hallway when I was last there in the ER. My back was broken and they put a back brace on me. The neurologist came in for two minutes n took the card for the medical appliance guy to get me the right brace. The next day they put the wrong brace on me, made me walk ten steps then kicked me out the door

This hospital is the most confusing place ever. Every nurse and every doctor says so.ething different. There is no consistency in anything. Its like no one that works here knows the policy. They all have their own rules. If you need help you better be prepared to wait an hour and a half after you push the call button. In my opinion this is not a good hospital to come to. If you have a choice go anywhere else but here.

Over all the 8 hours I was in the ER waiting for a room for mom was a bit annoying the staff was VERY FRIENDLY but the only problem was that they took drug users before the child with his hand hanging on by a small piece of flesh. This is unprofessional and violates the common senses of who really needs the medical care

I am currently a patient in the micu and am 33 weeks pregnant. I have mysterious symptoms along wit pnuemonia. This staff had been supportive and wonderful. I have several different doctors working around the click to make sure myself and baby are good. I love this Staff. They have been focused and attentive !

My mother has stage 4 liver disease and they transferred her to a mental health facility Im Logan and they didnt even know about her liver this place is the worst absolutely disgusted by this mad isnt even the word and when you call to get something done you are just transferred I would rate this place horrid !!!!

Was there with my husband and have never had a problem until this time. He had a couple nurses who were just plain rude and had horrible attitudes. I understand their jobs are stressful but dont take it out on your patients and their family.

My mother was there from Aug 31, 2016 until she passed was on a lot of different floors, she was on 3S for the longest period of time and the staff there was very good to her. They took great care of her and were wonderful to the family.
