I really hate writing reviews even under 4 stars. I am the type of person that looks at reviews, and sometimes even when a place has bad reviews, I go and see for myself. Sometimes people are hard to please and just hand out bad ratings often. I am not one of them. Please, if you are reading the reviews for this place, I really hope you take them to heart. This is going to be fairly long, so grab a cup of coffee and a comfy chair... I am a mother of 3. I am also a military wife, so our family moves around quite a bit, and weve been to several dentists over the years. My kids range in ages from 10, down to 5. My oldest son is on the Autism Spectrum, and has sensory issues as well. That being said, my kids have always had successful trips to the doctors offices and dental offices. My youngest even wears glasses and has to go to a specialist for that. I did read the reviews here before deciding to go. Some were older, so I figured maybe things had changed. I also have a family member that goes here and she just raves about the Dentist, Dr Hale. Im sure he really is fantastic. However, he really should consider reviewing his staff, and his policies. First up with my son. Hes 10, and he is the one with sensory issues. He was screaming bloody murder, and everyone in the waiting room could hear him. Shortly after, a lady comes out with him and says shes referring him out to another office that can SEDATE him. Excuse me... What? While I understand this is a good option to have, and some would really benefit from it, weve never had to do this before. She also basically shamed him for not being able to handle it. I was so in shock at what was going on, that I could hardly react. I let her know I was unimpressed with how they were handling things so far. Next up, was my 6 year old son. He is a dream no matter what kind of office visit. He just takes it all very well. He did great, and came out in a reasonable amount of time. However they did not discuss anything with me. I was already irritated and didnt bother to ask either. I was really ready to go. Next up was my 5 year old daughter. Right off the bat I asked if I could go back with her. They shut me down fast and said only for kids 2 and under. I cant find anywhere if there is a law that forbids medical offices from keeping the parents away from their children, but this leaves a bad taste in any parents mouth. I do not know any of the people in this office, and theyre taking my young, very nervous child behind closed doors and not allowing me to go with them? Not long after, they come out and tell me the same thing. Theyre referring her out, and she needs to be sedated... You have GOT to be kidding me. This is supposedly a Childrens dental office, and they cant handle 2/3 of my kids? I will admit that my oldest can be difficult, but they knew before the appointment of his difficulties. So, the next day I found a new dentist office. Its Dr. Francisco H. Bezerra. I am currently living in Zephyrhills, and let me tell you, its worth the drive to go out there. The entire staff is amazing, and very friendly. All 3 of my kids were seen there today (my middle child still needed his molars sealed) and they all said my kids each did a wonderful job. They kept asking me "They werent able to do anything with 2 of them?" as if they were shocked. I was also able to go back with each of them and floated around the office from kid to kid. They were very accommodating, and understanding. I NEVER heard a peep from my oldest who was screaming bloody murder at Great Expressions. My daughter opened her mouth just fine for all who asked, although the girl at Great Expressions said they wouldnt even let anyone touch her. Really makes you wonder, doesnt it? What exactly their procedures are for this "Childrens dental" office. I wouldnt take a dead animal to this office for dental work. Which is sad, because like I said, I have heard really great things about the actual dentist there.

15 years as a medical surgical asst and 2 as an oral surgery assistant have never met a more arrogant dentist!! She talked down to me like I was a moron was very annoyed that I chose no fluoride for my children. She told me I was misinformed and uneducated about it. Decided they wouldnt let me go back with my teenager and used fluoride on him anyways. When I asked to go in the exam with my 13 yr old I was told you wont understand anything anyways so theres no point. Then the De list and dental assistant decided to have a conversation about the ignorant parent who doesnt allow fluoride (in the room while examine my son). They pushed for me to get fillings for my 3 yr old when I was told he has some ridges from how his teeth grew in and they may develop cavities later but they arent a worry now and because I had a diaper bag with me that had a bottle in it they keep referring to me using a bottle for my 3 yr old and kept correcting them by saying cup. After the 4th time the dentist smirked with a laugh and pointed at the bottle and said how do u explain that. I laughed annoyed and pointed at my infant in the stroller w his dad in the waiting room she rolled her eyes and walked away bunch of jerks. Make the drive somewhere else!!!!

This is the WORST dental center you could ever go to. The woman at the front desk needs to learn a thing or two about customer service, she is RUDE. Keep in mind I went to this doctor after recently being examined by another dental center which was amazing and outlined with proof what I needed done. When stepping into the back I was told I needed a LOT more work done on my teeth! When trying to ask where and why I would I was never given a simple response or explanation. If you are looking for a Dental Center to suck the money out of your insurance company and your pocket, let me be the first to welcome you to GREAT EXPRESSIONS DENTAL CENTER.. What a joke

I absolutely hate this dentist. I went to get my cavities filled and went home unable to eat. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I went back a week later because I could feel food going into my teeth when I ate. The doctor tried to find every reason to blame me instead of fixing the filling that they messed up. They are also trying to charge me for re doing my filling even though it was their mistake. The doctor really IS arrogant and uncaring. The rest of the staff is very unprofessional and sloppy.

I had two crowns done today. Dr. Hale was very gentle and quick. His Asst Annette was great at making sure I didnt drown with all of the water and her temporary was made so well that she didnt need to adjust it. I would recommend this office if your looking for a good dental office where you can feel like your at home and not being ripped off for things you dont need.
