DO NOT GO HERE! This clinic only cares about making money. We were there from 8 pm to 1 am and they never finished a fecal test that was supposed to take 10 minutes. The entire focus was on other elective procedures that had nothing to do with the visit. I was there because my dog was scarfing down food and having intermittent diarrhea- during which I mentioned that behavior is rare because he will forgo eating occasionally. From that they decided that my dog might have a smaller opening to his stomach and wanted to do an x-ray with puppy version of contrast, then an ultrasound, and possibly surgery—which is insane when his weight and energy are perfect (even too much on the energy side). They were more interested in racking up fees than treating my dogs condition. They quoted over $1,200 in tests --not present in that estimate were fluids, after my dog had diarrhea for 5 days. After we left around 1 am and had to take my dog to his normal vet, they proceeded to call me at 7 am, 11 am, and the following day to schedule the elective procedures that I had already declined. They were aggressive and harassing about scheduling them and didnt ask how my dog was doing until the third call. This place is a complete racket and shouldnt be trusted. They never told me the final results of the fecal test and showed no concern for my dogs well-being. Who in their right mind would put a sick dog through sedation, an elective ultrasound and invasive surgery to widen the opening of his stomach?!? Who would even dream up that situation from a dog presenting with diarrhea, except someone desperate to make money.

I brought my 2 year old lab in for his annual check-up / updates on vaccinations. Before we found the Ark, wed been going to another vet and were fed up with staff that seemed to have no interest in the well-being of the animals and feeling like we were just a number. I was VERY pleased with the service we got at The Ark. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. Before starting with the exam, Dr. Johnson spent a few minutes just playing with my dog and petting him and getting to know his personality. He is very skiddish in vets offices, and she was very understanding and didnt force him into anything (e.g. he did not like the stethoscope and she let him sniff it and get used to it before trying to listen to his heart.) I had a number of questions and she took the time to answer every one of them and provide a lot of detail. The vet tech came in and out several times and he was very friendly and helpful and again seemed to genuinely care about my dog. They took a picture to keep on file so theyd know which animal it was before our next appointment / whenever we called- another really nice personal touch that I appreciated. The price seemed reasonable given the quality of sersvice- check-up, rabies, DAPP, and canine bortedella for $150. This is a very convenient location for me, and the treatment that my dog received was to the level that I was looking for. I am very happy to have found The Ark because the previous vet charged the same price but I would have given them 1 star (or less) in the level of service.

If I could give this "establishment" 0 stars, I would. I had the most traumatic and awful experience here. The receptionists are wonderful, but the actual vets and vet technicians are horrible.. I came in because my puppy had a cyst. They took him into the back room and when they came back said, "he popped it himself..." umm ok. Thats kind of fishy. They sent me home with a gaping hole in my dog and gave me oral antibiotics. Obviously the hole got bigger, so I was concerned. They told me to bring him back in. I waited SIX hours and they brought my puppy out to me drugged up and with 4 staples in him... I never authorized this. I asked to speak with the vet in charge and they said I would need to wait up to 3 hours... I was furious. The following day I called my reputable vet to make sure my puppy was seen properly. He was horrified that they stapled up an infection. This could have caused some serious damage. He then had to remove the horribly mangled staples and prescribe him a topical cream and an antibiotic shot. My puppy is all better after 10 days later. If you want your animal to be seen by properly trained vets, DO NOT take them here. This place should be shut down in my opinion. They are only concerned with making a profit and do not care about the health or well-being of the animal.

Ive been coming to Ark for 3 years now. Its time to move on. While I agree that Ark is a great place to take your pet in need of emergencies, having a pet under their long term care is not the best idea. I have a 14 year old senior Labrador who needs monthly prescriptions refilled. Ive asked that we have certain prescriptions written and filled elsewhere because it takes days just for the staff to get around to filling them. I called on Thursday of last week to request a written prescription for pick up. I was told they would call me back and they never did. I called again on Sunday and was told they didnt have the prescription ready. I was advised to come back today (Monday) and pick it up. Ive been waiting 40 minutes to pick up the prescription because it was not signed by the doctors when I arrive this afternoon. Its absurd to make an aging pet patient wait 5 days for a prescription! This has been an orgoing issue with this vet, constantly having to stay on top of them to get my dogs medicine. We go through this battle every month just getting my dogs prescriptions filled by this vet in a timely fashion. For the price we pay and as much money as our visits cost, I do expect better care.

I have used The Ark Animal Hospital twice, once about six months ago when my lab, Maya, was hit by a car and most recently when our kitten, Penelope, became ill. I have had animals my entire life and have made many trips to the vet, but Dr Johnson and her team are the best I have seen. Their moto Where Care and Caring Meet doesnt even begin to describe the love that they show for their furry patients. Mayas injuries required a stay in the hospital and several follow-up visits. She was well-cared for and pampered with lots of love, attention, and treats by the staff. After she was released from the hospital she was excited when she got to go back for her follow-up visits. We were not as fortunate with Penelope. Pen started having labored breathing and her health quickly deteriorated. An ultrasound detected a mass covering her heart, a congenital condition that was not treatable. The doctors explained the diagnosis and situation clearly and offered great compassion as we had to make a difficult decision. The Ark Animal Hospital is my vet of choice and I highly recommend them to anyone who has a furry family member.

I am so thankful for Ark Animal Hospital! Thomas and Tara helped my morkie Bella and I with a tick removal today and they were amazing. Ive had Bella for almost 6 years and shes never had a tick so this was scary for me. I went to my animal hospital who Ive had pet insurance with for forever and they refused to help me because I got there three minutes after closing. I called Ark and Thomas helped me over the phone and was very calming and understanding. He asked for me to come in so they could take a look at Bella. When I got there I received a warm welcome and Thomas immediately called for Tara to help. She took Bella in the back and removed the tick and even brought her out to show me exactly where and what kind of tick it was. Both Tara and Thomas explained what kind of medication I can give and what to look for if this ever happens again. They were both very knowledgable. My point is even though it was "just a tick" (so my current insurance company said), they took care of Bella as if she was their own pet and I am so grateful for that. Thank you so much Tara, Thomas, and Ark Animal Hospital. You are truly amazing.
