My sheltie dog was doing fine as far as we knew until about two weeks ago. He developed a hematoma on the ear. We took him to this clinic and the doctor lanced his ear, bandaged it and sent him home $225 later. Going back a week later the blood vessels were still bleeding and he lanced it again and bandaged it for another week.(another $78) During that week my dog began acting lethargic and drinking copious amounts of water. We gave him a half of a tylenol and he perked up. At the end of 8 days we took the bandage off to see if it was infected as he was acting sick again. It was not infected but the ear had filled up again. We took him to another vet the next day because he could not move. Two other vets confirmed that he probably had a big infection and did not know why the previous vet did not treat the ear and hematoma in the standard way. By that time my dog had a greatly reduced body temperature and had lost all function of bowel and bladder and the use of his hind quarters. He was so far gone that we had to put him to sleep. This was quite traumatic for all of us, especially my son whose dog it was. We will never use the Veterinary clinic of Gordon County again and will advise all we can to do the same. We can never replace our dog (as one of the family), but hopefully we can help save others pets from shoddy and unprofessional care.

We drove from out of town due to a recommendation after our 8 year old boxer had just suddenly quit eating and after 4 trips to our local vet and $500+/- later they couldnt find out what was wrong with her. 5 minutes with our Bella and Dr. B gave us more info from a physical exam than they were able to give us after ultrasounds, blood work, and multiple other tests, and had left out several simple tests that should have been done well before performing an ultrasound. Dr. B was very knowledgeable and one of the nicest guys and was obviously taking the health of our pet as well as the cost vs. benefit of our treatment options.

my poor dog got hit by a car we took it to this vet b/C it was the closes they told us that our dog had about a 15 to 10 percent chance of living and they where going to charge us $450 to try to save it but we where not sure if we wanted to pay if our dog only had a 15 to 10 percent chance of living but we love are dog and we kind of thought she had a bigger chance than that b/c she is healthy strong dog and thank goodness she is doing well today thanks docs :) but it was scary that they just told us a 10 to 15 chance of living we didnt like that to much

Best Animal care around, I used another vet for years and the expense was getting out of control and I have 4 dogs. Dr. Jay came to our house and gave a yearly to all my dogs and I later had a boxer with a brain tumor and Dr. Jay again came to the house and put her down. They are the best!!!!!!

I met with Dr. Jay today, one of the new owners. I was thoroughly impressed with his love for animals, humility, integrity, and his desire to serve the community. I dont know what this vet hospital was like in the past, but this may be the best place in the county to take your pet.

The staff is always so kind. Majority of my family all use their facility! Today we came in as an emergency. Terrible dog fight! My dog is an old dog... 12! seeing them be gentle and clearly trying to ease my heartbreak as well as treat his wounds meant a great deal to me!

Loved my first experience there, the staff is beyond sweet. And the vet is amazing. This is my first time being a pet owner to a new pup, and they gave me good tips. They are super welcoming. I hope it continues to stay this way as long as I have my doggy Brady.

We moved to Calhoun 3 years ago bringing our 11 year old rescue Lab with us. She is a retired training dog from Auburn University. We added a cat to the family, also. We have found Red Bud Vet Clinic to be superior in their care for animals.

Took my dog because he removed 2 stitches, the place I take my dog was closed today And they wanted me to charge $400.00 just to put 2 stitches back on my dogs tail.. My vet charge me $250.00 for the complete surgery... Very disappointed..
