Wish i could submit a 0 review. We were so excited to actually see an african-american veterinarian clinic with "black" staff. Unfortunately, this practice was quite the disappointment. I scheduled an appointment one day prior to the procedure date and after arriving to the clinic and checking in, we waited for 40-45 minutes to only be told that the vaccinations we provided were not accepted and were offered to leave our animal over the weekend as the vet who provided this procedure wasnt even coming in. What a waste of our times. What would have been courteous would to have contacted us to allow us to go elsewhere. The receptionist with dreadlocks was more concerned with attempting to pet our animal opposed to doing her job and informing us appropriately so that we could make an informed decision on what to do with our dog. The staff were just standing around and looked as if they had Nothing to do as they made pointless small talk about our pet... It boggles my mind as to how we even waited for SO long! They are cons and are simply looking to make a SMAL buck on top of big bucks. An utter joke. Why would i pay for more vaccinations when I can go to the feed store? She literally said, "Feed store vaccines are usually accepted, we just dont accept them here." I am a breeder and know the games that vets try to pull. But, what was really hilarious to me was the fact that the receptionist suggested leaving the animal over the weekend, which obviously ensures a boarding charge. Its so terrible that a black owned establishment has to be ran this way. #1 pick for the MOST Unprofessional Vet hospital I have EVER been to.

I absolutely love this hospital! Its conveniently located, the staff is wonderful, and the doctor is knowledgeable and passionate about animals. Before returning to Atlanta (after living in Florida for four years), I had experienced other hospitals that operated as if each patient was a part on the production line. But, because of the personalized treatment and care Dr.Tolbert takes with each patient (not just my own), I cant imagine taking my dogs anywhere else. I also appreciate the fact that the hospital is active in the local community and Dr. Tolbert is a respected physician in the animal healthcare field. I have nothing but good things to say and Im not just saying these things because hes my dad! As a client and a daughter, I appreciate ROAHs professionalism and dedication to whats best for the patient!

I dont understand the other reviews. Granted, the personnel at the front desk were cordial during my dogs initial appointment for a checkup and when I picked him up after being boarded there for 7 days. My complaints are: I packed food for my dog and my sons dog; which were boarded together; most of the good was returned at pickup! What did they eat? I called to check on my dog while out of the country; the person whom answered the phone didnt know my dogs name. Im a frequent traveler and ALL my previous vets/ boarders in FL and MD knew my dog and was able to give a report. I asked for my dog to be bathed and nails trimmed wbile he was there. Didnt hapoen! Finally, Ive NEVER been required to pay half up front for boarding! Our pets are our family members and THEY SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH!

I went to atl to finish off a vacation that started in Lexington Kentucky... my dog escaped my dads backyard and ended up in the Animal shelter of Lexington. To got my dog out then shelter and a couple days later she developed kennel cough... they quickly treated my dog, provided friendly customer service, and did not make me feel like an outcast. If you are an out of towner and anything happens to your pet I would highly suggest that you take your pet here vs Banfield. I horrible experience with the people at Banfield. The people here at Red Oaks are not like that. All they care about is your pet. Comforting your pet the best they can while they treat their illnesses and injuries. If I lived here i would make them the vet for my dog permanently. Wonderful folks here at Red Oaks!!!!

The Doctors and Staff at Red Oak Animal Hospital, are an amazing group..They are extremely kind and courteous to their customers and their pets.And they actually listen to your concerns..After being a pet owner for years I find that refreshing. Ive been to some clinics over the years and its in out..Not here!! Dr.Tolbert and Dr.Golden are the Best along with the young ladies behind the desk..Dont take my word for it. Just ask our Boxer Barkley if he could talk.Again Thank You Red Oak for giving us our Boy back..I would never go any where else, you have a client for life.

I called in doc. Gave me a call within 30min he explained everything jn detail but when I was in the with them the attention and explanations of everything that he did was supervb I was only going for ear croping my dog but stayed for everything else great place building needs maintenance but the service is a 5* service dont let the look decive you.

I have been to this location a few times and you can tell that the Dr is well educated on animals and loves them.He gives you free information and tips right over the phone, so you know hes not just out to make a buck.Also has a new assistant (young male, cant remember his name) whos very nice and professional.

All three of my fur babies are seen here and they all absolutely love Dr. Golden. The office staff are always courteous, always professional and keep things moving smoothly; very efficient at explaining things both in person and on the phone. Highly recommend.
