I took my son here for his newborn and 1 month appointment, i loved the doctor we saw, she was very friendly and i liked how she handled my newborn (like she actually cared about him instead of just a patient). When it came to his 2 month appointment for his shots we were still working on his insurance, i explained the situation to the front desk and told her i would pay cash for the visit and the shots. She said that it wasnt a problem and that i just needed to pay prior to actually seeing the doctor. I pulled out my payment when another front desk worker walked up and stated in a not very polite manor that "they arent going to do that". the other worker re explained our situation and again she said that they wouldnt do it. What upset me the most was the rude and condescending tone she was using along with speaking louder each time getting the whole offices attention, she then said louder how we wouldnt be able to see anyone there until my child was insured and he will just have to wait for his shots (we were in the middle of being approved for insurance). i felt very disrespected and that my entire experience that day was extremely unprofessional. i understand having regulations but it would be nice if everyone was on the same page to handle situations, also it still is not okay to be rude to people, especially when they are not being rude to you and there are children around. I hate the fact that we are having to find another practice because i really did love the doctor but i am not okay with staying with a place who is that rude to their patients.

So far so Good. My wife and I just moved to the area with our 22 mounth old daughter. We needed a new pediatrician in the area and found this facility less than a mile from our home. Our first visit was to get our daughter up to date on her vaccinations. The staff, Doctor, and Nurses were all very friendly and professional. It was an "In and Out" visit with no hitches. Our second visit, which was two days ago. Was in regard to our daughter catching a cold with a low grade fever associated with it. Again we took her in and were met with a very friendly and professional staff. The Doctor was very thorough, testing for Strep and the flu. At the time, her only symptom was a runny nose with no fever, as we had given her Motrin just before taking her in. Alot of doctors would just go ahead and write for antibiotics, which in some cases doesnt do any good and further more builds your childs tolerance to the antibiotics. This particular doctor that we saw didnt even hint towards that direction and simply suggested that we keep an eye on the fever and grab some Pedialyte to keep her hydrated. This advice proved correct as our daughter bounced back directly, Without Antibiotics that she didnt need. Im a big fan of this, as I dont wonna give my daughter medication she doesnt need. The doctor made a great call and I would recommend this facility to anyone with children in the area.

We are new to the area and Dr. Gros came strongly recommended. I really, really liked her. However, she has since left the practice to move back home. I also liked Dr. Maxy, but she left also. The new doctor seems very knowledgeable and kind. However, I am tired of the office hours. I need an office that takes calls before 9am (hopefully opens before then, too) and does not take "lunch breaks". There have been 2 different times that I did not get a busy signal (just the answering machine) till after 9:15. I honestly believe that they dont always start taking calls at 9am. Maybe they are not there yet or are too busy. Who knows. For me, this is not acceptable. I agree with other reviewers that a couple of the ladies up front are not always nice. However, the nurses and practioner have always been kind. Since we lost our favorite doctor and the hours are not accommodating, we have changed to another practice.

My grandchild went here on a Tuesday with pink eye and fever. My daughter was told it was a virus. After 3 days of drops in the eyes and the pink eye not clearing up, my daughter contacted Hamilton Mill Pediatrics again and was told to discontinue the drops, it was a virus and the drops would not clear it up, the virus had to run its course. ??? By the end of the week, her temperature was 103+ and I carried her to CHOA. She had infection in both ears, ACUTE pink eye and swelling in the throat and tonsils. She was given antibiotics and more eye drops (that should not have been discontinued) and within two days was much better. Very disappointed in Hamilton Mill Peds. How long would she have to suffer before they would take further action rather than chalking it up to "its just a virus"???????

Abysmal. They forgot to send my sons prescription in and since they close early on Fridays I had to frantically continue calling them for them to place it in. Once it was placed, they didnt fill his entire prescription. The front receptionist then, with no empathy, informed me that if I did not pay the bill for the visit they would immediately send me to collections. They are extremely unprofessional, and neglectful.

Dr. Thomson and Jennifer are amazing doctors, and awesome people! Everyone at Hamilton Mill Pediatrics is looking out for our little man and it shows in every interaction. Phone calls with questions, appointments, exams, middle of the night, Christmas Day, theyve been there for our family, every time!

My children have been going there for almost 11 years. I was happy with the service and the nurses there but from the last 2 years their service and help have decreased. I dont like the way the new nurses work and Im not sure theyre really qualified and have the necessary knowledge to treat children.

We selected them from a list when our baby girl was born. They have been absolutely incredible. Our daughter has been sick a lot, and they always return our calls. Jennifer is so caring and compassionate. Wouldnt take my children anywhere else!
