I met Dr. Brown in 2011 when she completed a project on my 4 front teeth. I will start by saying that I am extremely picky when it comes to my teeth and given the fact that I was 27 years old, I wanted to ensure that my crowns would look natural and fit with the rest of my teeth. When the crowns came in they were too big/bulky and midline was off. She agreed to the fact that the midline was off and sent them back to the lab to have them adjusted, however they did not address the bulkiness I was concerned with. Dr. Brown then told me that I have unrealistic expectations and that every time I sit in her chair wanting to change something about these crowns, shes losing money. I was dumfounded when I heard that, first of all because it isnt professional, secondly because my intention was not to be difficult, I simply had to be comfortable with those crowns in my mouth. She finally agreed to have them sent back to the lab, and the lab tech also stopped by to see what was going on. Needless to say I was terrified by her attitude towards me, and the next time I went in I took a friend. Of course the crowns came back and after some more adjusting, they were and still are PERFECT!!! I was left with a bad taste after that experience, but decided to give it another shot and make Dr. Brown my dentist. The next few years with her were great, as I didnt have any major work done, just cleanings and regular visits. Then one Thursday night on a December night one of my canines started hurting badly and I immediately knew a root canal was needed. I emailed her and she quickly responded assuring me that she will get me in with an endodonist the next morning, and she did. I appreciated her kindness in getting me situated. In the meantime, I noticed that there was a very strong odor coming from one of the premolars that she had restored. I kept bringing it to her attention during my cleanings, but she was certain everything was in good shape. Then one day that very crown started moving. I called in for an appointment and she agreed that the crown had to be removed. Long story short, it appeared that I had to have my tooth extracted and replaced by an implant, which I did. When the time came to restore the crowns, the not so pleasant journey began again. As I said above, I am VERY picky when it comes to my teeth, not only because of how they look and/or feel but because of how expensive it is as well. Dr. Brown told me again that my expectations are unrealistic and that she is not making any money (which again I found it to be very unprofessional). She spoke in a very condescending way and raised her voice. Her intention was to probably intimidate me…I was literally shaking in my chair. As I walked out of her office crying, I called my husband and he said he will no longer allow me to use her as a dentist. I did call the office and informed them about the decision I have made and asked them to please lets finish this project, make it right and move on. The most important thing is that LOVE my crowns!!! After a lot of going back and forth with the lab, she was kind enough to offer me the opportunity to actually go to the lab and have technicians work on them there. Kudos to Sonya and Sara who have always been so sweet. And honestly, if it wasnt for Sonya and the way she treated me, I dont know how I would have made it through the last project. She is kind, understanding, and empathetic. She is the best assistant I have ever encountered.

Ive been coming to lanier dentistry literally, since the day Dr Alla Brown opened her practice. I think my family was one of her first patients. One of our family members needed a lot of dental work done; caps, crowns, root canals, filings and just basic cleaning. It took 2 years to complete all the dental work he needed. When she finished, his teeth looked amazing. She is very picky about her work and if she doesnt think the color matches the rest of your teeth, she will not accept it. The lab tech actually came in and matched the color because it just wasnt up to Dr. Browns standards. She wanted it perfect. When she was finished, it was perfect. In 2013 and 2014 I chipped a couple of my teeth. I thought the teeth would have to be crowned. She was able to build the teeth back up, and they are beautiful. In 2015, I had 2 teeth that needed crowns due to cracking. If she had not caught the cracked teeth, eventually debris would have found its way in and root canals would have been needed. Im so very thankful for Dr. Brown and her amazing abilities as a dentist. Dr. Brown is honestly the best dentist I have had. She cares about your teeth, about you as a patient and she truly wants you to be happy with the results. She takes pride in her work, and it shows. Her staff.....they are just as amazing as she is. From the moment you walk through the door, until you leave, the staff makes you feel comfortable. They are always happy and up beat. You never feel like a number, or just another patient walking through the door. They know you by name, they remember you, they comment or inquire about your family. I feel Dr. Brown has very carefully hand picked everyone in her staff. Just an amazing group of talented people. I adore everyone at Lanier Dentistry. Thank you Dr. Brown!

Its not often someone can say they love their dentist and the team, but I do! They are always friendly, kind, funny, warm, on time, knowledgeable, have excellent skills and are all genuine. Dr. Brown has been our family dentist for many years (lost count) and they are like family to us! My husband and I work in healthcare; it is difficult to gain our trust and respect from those in medicine; however, we trust her implicitly. My husband has needed a significant amount of dental work. Throughout it all, Dr. Brown and her team have been exceptionally professional, skilled and compassionate. It has become clear she actively works to keep her knowledge, skills and techniques up to date. Many folks have a dental horror story and Im no exception (I have several). My husband "found" Dr. Brown and persuaded me to give her a try. At the time, I had a problem with a new crown which did not seem "fixable". It was my first crown, I hated needing one, was angry, tense and irritable. Quickly, Dr. Brown figured out the problem. She tried a few solutions but ultimately it had to be replaced because of how it was made. Throughout the process, Dr. Brown and the team were friendly, compassionate, empathetic, skilled, timely, everything was painless and Ive never had another problem with the crown. And, now she has me as a patient for life! It takes a lot of work and talent to recruit, build and maintain a team like Dr. Browns. I respect and admire her tenacity, talent, skill and bubbly (when appropriate) but serious "work mode" personality. She has a stable team of staff and that says something great about her as a person, a professional dentist and each team member! TEAM Lanier Smiles ROCKS!!!!
