I am very disappointed in the service and care we received by Dr. Park today. He was not personable and discussed my 4 yo childs case in front of me to his staff, before he spoke to me about the case. It was as if I was not sitting right there. He did not do a good job explaining in detail the issues and treatment options available for my sons cavity. He spoke to me in a manner that suggested that he thought I would not be able to understand what he was saying. I am a highly educated medical professional that would have certainly been able to follow the conversation. The most disappointing aspect of our visit, was that Dr. Park did not go over proper oral hygiene and tooth care with my son (how to brush, floss, etc.) and I did not hear anyone else do this. This is a very important part of a pediatric dental appointment. My son knows how to properly brush his teeth, but the dentist should reinforce this information with the child. Finally, I was informed that I would not be allowed in the treatment room with my child during his treatment procedure (filling or crown.. he wasnt sure yet). I was also informed that in some cases children need to be physically restrained during procedures. So....If I am not in the room during the procedure, that leaves a stranger to physically restrain my child if necessary?? I dont think so. After I told him that I was not comfortable with being in another room during my childs procedure, he said "OK, we will release the medical records" and walked off. He did not say anything else to my child or myself.

I have nothing to say but wonderful stuff about Dr. Parks and his office staff. I brought my children here after first going to a larger dentistry practice, where I only got to talk to the dentist on my first visit because my children were new patients. Otherwise, unless there was a serious issue, the dental hygienist did all the communication. In contrast, Dr. Parks has spoken with me at every visit, which to me is very important and makes me feel more like he truly cares about my childrens dental health. My son had a mouth injury from a few years back that we have been monitoring, and recently started showing signs of causing trouble. We have had to have two emergency visits to the office because of it, and both times, the office was able to get us seen within just an hour or two of us calling. Dr. Parks is very knowledgeable and has thoroughly answered and explained any questions I have had. His hygienists have made the visits enjoyable and worry free for both of my children. Tiffany and Wendy are absolutely the sweetest girls! The front office staff are very helpful and kind. I always enjoyed going to the dentist as a child, and I have a feeling that my kids are going to enjoy their years to come with Dr. Parks. He is truly the best pediatric dentist around!

We had our first visit with Dr. Park last week and my son ended up needing a filling. The dread set in. Then, I was informed of the "no parents allowed" in the room, which initially raised red flags for me. Double dread. However, we proceeded with the appointment since he was recommended by a trusted friend. I felt completely comfortable just from hearing the way that engaged my son in conversation. I was able to watch my son get situated and comfortable while under "laughing gas" and I left the room without him knowing. He didnt even look for me once. Dr. Parks staff was great about updating me and there was a window in the door to the room where I am sure I could have peeked in should I have felt the need. My son did GREAT!!! I was such a wonderful experience compared to the last place we received pediatric dental care from. They did the filling quickly and my son has NO anxiety about going back. Park Pediatric Dentistry of Woodstock is where we will stay. Dr. Park even called later that afternoon to check-in on my son. You can tell that his everyone in this office is well trained and that they truly care about their patients. In summary, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Park!!!

I cant give enough praise to the entire staff at Park Pediatric Dentistry. My now 5 year old son had a horrible and very traumatic experience at his first dental visit. We took him to another dentist in the Towne Lake area and they were not helpful at all when it came time to calm my son down to have his teeth cleaned. The dentist was finally able to take a look at his teeth and told me not to be concerned about the areas I pointed out. Once I found Dr. Park, we decided to try again. The experience was amazing. He was so nervous but the hygienist asked him for help. She took him to pick up the supplies she would need for x-rays so he could feel like he was a part of the process. He climbed into the chair and let them work. Turns out, the areas of concern I had were in fact cavities. He went back two different times to get those taken care of and did great! Now, every time we drive past the office, he waves and says hi Dr. Park! Hands down, they are the best around.

This office has implemented new "office policies" that do not ALLOW the parent to be in the room with their own child during a procedure. I have a son with anxieties and against my better judgment allowed them to escort me from his room. It did not go well and we ended up being shooed out the door without any of the work being done that they numbed my son for. When I contacted them back about being given an exception to be with my son in the future since I knew this was going to be a problem, I was basically told to go somewhere else. After getting home and talking to my son about his experience more, I understand why they dont allow parents in the room. I will no longer trust anyone to be with my child without me. It is totally unacceptable to treat a child this way.

I took my son (1 year old) for his first dental appointment today and had a great experience. I have taken my older child before and had the same experience. Kid friendly, short wait times, and the staff and Dr. Park are amazing. Thanks so much! Update - I took my 3 year old for his second visit today. He is normally a pretty anxious child, but you would never know it by the way he reacted to Ms Jill! She was amazing with him and he sat in my lap for all of the cleaning/flossing/polishing. Ive never been asked to stay outside the room while my kids were checked, maybe because they are so young... but I would have no problem with it after seeing how the staff interacts with my children. They are absolutely wonderful.

This practice is absolutely incredible! They are large enough to offer amenities to make a childs visit more pleasurable (game systems, TVs, fun themed rooms), but small enough to feel like youre part of their family. The staff provide age appropriate interaction for my kids (one with special needs) which range from 7 to 18! I sincerely wish that I could book an appointment for myself with this group! Park offers the most updated technology with a small hometown feel. (And, a real person answers the phone when you call, so that should tell you something of their commitment to customer service, as well)!
