Blayney Veterinary Clinic came highly recommended by a friend, and while I did have one very positive office visit with one of the doctors, however today I was sorely disappointed and mistreated by its staff. Yesterday I called the office to schedule a routine appointment for my 3 month-old puppy. The woman on the phone was pleasant and offered a date and time (today) that fit my schedule. She then confirmed my appointment prior to hanging up. Then, today, in order to make the half-hour drive out to Caldwell for todays appointment I left work a little early so that I would have enough time to drive home, take my puppy outside to potty, then load everything up and start driving. Upon arriving at Blayney Veterinary Clinic this afternoon I went to check in at the front desk. One of the two women working the desk checked the schedule but did not see my appointment on the books. After rechecking the schedule as well as conferring with a colleague she returned to the desk informing me that the employee I had spoken to the phone the previous day had never finalized my appointment, thus there were no available doctors to see my puppy. The front desk employee then offered to board my puppy for an additional fee of $10, bringing the base rate of the appointment to $50, so that she could be seen by a doctor later in the day. I am disappointed that not only was my appointment not kept but that the staff tried to exploit me by charging me additional fees when, instead, they should have been making a concession in attempting to remedy their error. I felt extremely disrespected, disposable, and disregarded today. Suffice it to say that I have no intention of returning to this clinic.

We had been going to this Vet for over 5 years with our cats and dogs, my family had been using them for over 30. Their customer service has gone downhill and their care for the animals has gone down hill. I had an appointment for my cat on a Friday, she had a dry patch, I paid 175.00 for an appointment and lotion. The next Monday she was mauled by our dog when she got out into the backyard by accident. We went to Blayneys, where I had been taking all of our animals for years and just been on the Friday before, and they sent us away!!!!! Yes, they told a customer with a dying animal that they CAN NOT and WOULD NOT help and maybe I should try down the street at another vet!!!!! I had always paid, I had no outstanding bills no reason to be turned away. I had spent over 1700.00 their in vet bills and paid cash every time and they turned me away?? How awful is that!??! After crying and begging they saw my cat, which died within minutes in there office. I would NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! I DID NOT PAY the 100.00 bill that was sent to me for that visit and I will never go back. How can a place where you have be taking your animal family members be so heartless to send you away when one is hurt!

Update: So we took our dog to a new vet and turns out he had a staph infection from an infected scrape causing his hair loss/red spots/itching. Could have easily turned to sepsis if we didnt take him to Indian Creek Veterinary. Thanks for nothing, Blayney. We have taken our dog here for a year now and every time (excluding one time when we saw a female vet that was super friendly and helpful) we go in we have a crappy experience. The last time my husband took our dog in because he was itching, flaky and losing hair. The vet said that he didnt know what it was and offered a steroid shot for him. I couldnt believe that my husband even paid for that visit when he got home and told me what happened! They could have done some tests or tried to figure out what was going on. They are impersonal and never make us feel welcome when we go there. Now, a few weeks later and our dog is getting worse. He has all of the above symptoms on top of scabbing up and down his legs and sores all over his belly and armpits. Wont be wasting our time on another visit to Blayney to be told that they dont know what is wrong just so they can charge us a visit fee.

They used to be a wonderful, affordable clinic. Things have changed significantly for the worse! I was 8 minutes late today and the front office staff lady gave me a long lecture about how this was a "medical office" and that they would charge for for being so late and they didnt know if theyd be able to see me. When I took a seat she complained to the other patients that she hated it when people were late, etc. When I saw the veterinarian, she looked like she was about 20 years old and would not look me straight in the eye when talking to me. I honestly couldnt tell if she was talking to me or her assistant but apparently, she WAS talking to me and makes it a point not to give eye contact. The office appt. cost $120 to confirm that my cat had a urinary tract infection. Appointments are now 15 minutes long apparently - which costs $50 for the appointment alone (including my $10 late fee). The office was way overcrowded and one vet appeared to be treating all the animals there - there were 8 different families and their dogs in the clinic waiting area. If you can afford better treatment - go somewhere else.

Never been there before, actually just set my 1st appointment, was willing to come clear in from Boise because the price was so awesome. Called to confirm my appointment to have the animal spayed this afternoon (yes I thought it was odd for a PM drop off, then again this is my 1st dog) the girl who answered the phone, 1st of all could not find my appointment, (because it was scheduled with my last name, and MY DOGS name for my 1st name) I was then told she was only scheduled for vaccines and has to have vaccines for 3 weeks before the spay (ok, again my 1st dog) so I said oh I guess that wasnt explained to me.... The person on the phone then snapped back Yes it was because I made the appointment!" Yes you may be cheap but no thank you. Even though there is a good chance I just misunderstood the appointment, Im not paying for that kind of customer service. A simple (polite) Im sorry for the misunderstanding would do thanks.... Ill pay extra and maybe Blanley can teach their receptionists some manners or customer service...

My pup Buddy ( 5 year old Pekingese) was involved in an accident and the impact ruptured both of his eyes.. He was in terrible pain and I had a hard time finding a vet that would take him and except payments.. we ended up at blayneys vet in caldwell.. they tried to save his eyes, but in the end had to have major surgery and remove both eyes.. I was devastated. Blayneys was very understanding and went above and beyond to help him.. you can imagine how high his vet bill was... they recognized that it was almost Christmas and I had 3 kids.. they excepted 50$ payments from me.. took along time to pay off the bill but my furbaby is an amazing, happy, healthy, spoiled rotten boy. Thanks to blayneys. So greatful ❤
