I had an 18yr old pug that was my first pet at the age of five. He was in excellent health his whole life. When he turned 18 he started to go blind and have seizures. I couldnt see him like that. I had to accept that it was his time to go. The hardest thing I ever had to do. At the age of 23 I had to make A real life decision about my lifetime partner. So I went to this vet which was right around the corner knowing I would be leaving alone. I cant even begin to describe the sadness I felt. The staff was caring and compassionate. I was taken into a room where the vet met me and looked him over. She said she could tell he had a good life and thought the decision I made was the right one at the right time. She was gentle and was very kind. Even gave me a hug to try and ease the pain. When he was given the injection I could tell he was at peace. He just relaxed. Se explained the process of what was happening and was so caring for my Henry and for me as well. When I was about to leave with my head lowered and tears streaming down my face I heard my name being called. I turned around and they gave me something. I didnt pay any attention as to what it was because I was so upset. I just wanted to go home. When I was in the car waiting for the light to change I looked at what they gave me. It was a book called "Dog Heaven" and inside they inscribed it " In loving memory of Henry" with the date. I mean talk about being shocked. Of course the water works started double time now but in a good way. They went above and beyond and I will never forget that. My heart warmed just knowing they cared that much. I recommend this vet to everyone. I now drive across town to see them with my new puppy because I refuse to lose such a good vet. Prices are in my budget also. Hope you choose this caring vet.

LOVE THE NEW OWNER! Ive been going to Dr. Kolmstetter for years, on my last vet visit I discovered that Caring Hands is under new ownership/management with new hours and new prices. The new owner, Dr. Martinez, shook my hand and introduced himself to our goldendoodle maggie. Him and Dr. K seem to make a great team and he was very knowledgeable about maggies case. I felt as if he has seen maggie before and felt comfortable with the way he handled her. He seemed very caring and compassionate, and he was detailed with maggies physical. the new staff members were also very thorough about checking me in and out of my appointment quickly. The new receptionists seem to be very knowledgeable and took me step by step through their new hours, new prices, and awesome new services. I love how theyll be offering price packages and behavior training! I also love how they arent closed during lunch anymore, which was an issue before when I wanted to buy dog food during my lunch break. Dr. Kolmstetter is an amazing vet and Im relieved that I can still go to the same location to see her and get even better pet care. I can tell the new teammembers are real animal lovers! whats even better was that at the end of my visit I received half off my entire bill as part of one of their "new clinic" price specials! that was awesome! I cant wait to see all the new services theyll be offering. Good going guys!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I made an appointment to have my cat evaluated, took time off of work, and when I arrived the doctor blew me off and had already left for the day. I had to re-schedule and have a family member take her in to be checked upon. My cat apparently required surgery, which I opted to have performed at Caring Hands. I was quoted a price, only to receive a call DURING the surgery for a price increase. Post OP, I was given directions on how to care for my cat only to have the doctor get angry during her checkup a week later because he had either omitted or forgotten a critical step in the care process. She now requires an additional appointment (which I am of course being charged for) because of this lack or failure of communication. It seems as though they need to suck as many dollars from their patients as possible due to their incompetence and failure to perform the duties expected of a doctor. I will NEVER recommend this vet to anyone, nor will I ever return to their office. I hope that this review will prevent others from wasting their money and time with this failing business.

I brought my dog here when he started having seizures. They did all kinds of expensive tests and prescribed an anticonvulsant. I came the next day to pick it up and was told to come in for an explanation of how to use it, only to realize that they decided to charge me after they said they wouldnt. Not only was that frustrating but a few days into the medication his seizures got worse and he was starting to bloat. After a week or so of him going downhill, we decided to take him off the medication as it was doing more harm than good. At this point his seizures had stopped and we thought that he was going to get better. After about a month of continuous weight gain and lethargy, he passed away. When the mortician came to pick up his cadaver he had informed us that the dosage that he was receiving was way too high, in turn causing his bloat which ultimately led to his death. I am very disappointed in the hospital director Armando Martinez who put us through such a traumatizing event. Please dont let your dogs be seen by this man. He is an ignorant cheat.

First time here & I will definitely be switching to this vet full time for all three of my dogs. I called this morning as my boxers eye was swollen & had been for a few days I kept an eye and it wasnt getting worse or better but I needed to take him so they got me in 2 hours after I called. Gave me antibiotics for babies eye and seemed to really care about my questions and concerns which set my mind at ease considering I had a bad experience with a previous office in Vegas & had been on the hunt for new vets who care. My boxer is 11 years old and him & I both dont trust many vets. He loved this vet and his assistant he let them take temperature put eye medicine in and got super close to his face. My boxer is usually pretty stand offish esp with males so it made me feel better knowing he trusted these guys especially so close to his face. Thanks again!!! We will see you guys again!

Weve been taking our three Labs to Caring Hands for about a year. Our 14-year old Chocolate, Cocoa was diagnosed with a tumor in her ear last year. We had a vet in another part of town who almost insisted that we allow her to perform surgery, which involved removing the entire ear canal. I told her that it seemed unethical to do surgery on a 14-year old dog who might not survive the procedure. We came to Caring Hands after that and have been extremely happy with the services weve received. The veterinary care is superb and the staff members are always helpful, professional and courteous.
