Went to bring my small chihuahua this place after he was bitten by a large dog and was told after a brief examination (too brief) that my dog was so badly injured he needed "major surgery" and the estimate was between $2500 to $3500. My other dog was killed in the same incident and I was grief stricken and overwhelmed already. When I was told this huge amount for what looked to me to be an injury only requiring a few stitches, some antibiotics & pain meds, I left the place in tears knowing there was no way I could afford what I was told was required to help my beloved little guy. The vet called me shortly after I left and offered to "put him down" for free if I would give consent. I was so upset by that time I was inconsolable and no way could I give permission to kill my dog without even giving him a chance. I asked them if I could have more time to think about it because I couldnt make that decision right then and they said ok. After 2 days the vet called again and said my dog was better and to come pick him up. I was amazed that they called to say he was better after being told he was in such bad shape (needing MAJOR surgery) and was told the bill was like $800 which was cool to me. I went to another location to pick up my dog and then was hit with ANOTHER bill which was a grand total of over $1800. When I reviewed the services that were done there were NO X-RAYS (so HOW IN THE HELL DID THEY DETERMINE THE "MAJOR SURGERY" DIAGNOSIS in the emergency facility?) There was no suturing done, not even a stitch. The whole bill was for him being in the ER, pain meds and antibiotics. So the bullshit prognosis that was given the day I brought my dog there 6/25/2016 WAS A LIE!! To top it off, these shiesters tried to get me to put my dog to sleep when the only thing wrong with him was bleeding which stopped on its own and meds for his pain and to keep him from getting infection. If I would have agreed to the $2500-$3500 original estimate.....God only knows how much my "bill" would have been!!! Keep your beloved pets AWAY FROM THIS RIP OFF JOINT!!!

Our dog ingested a liquid ant killer in the yard, causing us to visit the Rainbow Veterinary Emergency Hospital. It occured during the early evening, and our normal Vet clinic was closed. The staff was very caring, and acted extremely quick in getting our dog seen by the on duty doctor. After treating our dog, the doctor took the time to explained the treatment, as well as medicines she gave our dog. She advised that she would be faxing a complete report to our regular vet. The cost for the emergency treatment was more than reasonable. We would not hesitate taking our dog to this facility for an emergency in the future, and will be recommending it to family and friends. It is conforting to have such a great emergency facility in the northwest area.

I came home late Thursday night to the horror that my 3 year old dog was attacked and killed by one of my other dogs. She was my special girl and I was devastated. We came in around 11pm and the staff was absolutely amazing. I was hysterical and they acted like they had all the time in the world to help me process the loss of my princess. Even though this was my first visit, and the staff had never seen me before, they treated me like they knew me my whole life. They even send me an amazing card expressing their sympathy. I dont remember whom I worked with, but thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Very expensive to have your dog seen here outside of normal vet hours. Id assume its unenjoyable and through no fault of their own but they are very on top of getting your information and making sure youre prepared to pay before servicing your dog. Presumably because people leave them with bills. However the staff was great. Very comforting and honest about your dogs best option. They didnt push me to do invasive procedures on my old dog and were very comforting as we went about letting him go. Good ppl with a difficult job.

Long story short. My sons puppy either was bitten or ate something that caused her eyes to swell. I called because he only had so much money and I knew it would be more than what he had. (being a doggy grandma) to help out with a credit card. I believe her name is Meghan and she explained everything to me what could be done. She was so so helpful and kind. I felt as if she really cared and that calmed me a little. I hope that we will not need another emergency room for his dogs but if so I will come here.

So thankful there is an emergency veterinarian in our area now. Normally I would spend an hour in the car driving down south and back. Thanks to the great staff at VECC North, I can quality care and be back home quickly. Great hospital and while you never want to be an emergency situation, if you are, this is absolutely the place to go.

Ive used VE+CC before and always appreciated the compassion and straightforwardness of the doctors. Many cities dont have emergency facilities like this for animals and we are fortunate to have one of this quality.

Dr. Boggs is great and the staff is very friendly. For an emergency clinic, the prices are very reasonable.
