I had delivered my first child at Memorial hospital in Belevilleon 3/6/16, and the experience couldnt have gone any better. I am an obsessive researcher so naturally I came in with a long list of dos and donts, as well as a ton of questions for every time they needed to check on me, give me meds, or anything really. The level of patience they had with me easily rivaled Mother Theresa, haha. They were knowledgeable and explained everything well, and made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. They let me take half doses of medications so that I could be comfortable with the idea of it, they let me walk around and change position during pre-labor, and they gave me popsicles to eat and stay hydrated. I gradually let go of the need to skeptically know and be involved in everything and instead trusted their suggestions and decisions, which made everything less stressful for me. Aside from being knowledgeable and good at the medical side of things, I was astounded at how significantly emphasized service seemed to be by them. Instead of merely administering meds and checking my and the babys vitals and things, they made sure My family and I were comfortable and attended to. Small things like providing pillows or water, and answering all of our questions. They always greeted us with smiles and received our requests with grace. Im not sure how else to articulate that, just understand that everything they did was done with an air of service. I really appreciated that. They truly took care of me and my family. Furthermore, they were gentle but quick. The epidural did not hurt at all, and before that they gave me Stadol, which I would highly recommend. It was wonderful. They worked together with my doctors at Grace Womens Healthcare, which made me feel comfortable as well. If you are considering delivering at Memorial, I would highly suggest you go with them. Id also suggest you take a tour and hear about all of their options. What they explain to you in the tour isnt some sale at pitch that they dont actually do in practice. They really did everything they told me they would in the tour. I was very pleased. I am really grateful for them. My experience was so good that I dont want to jinx it by having another kid, haha! Leave well enough alone! Lol. But no really, they were wonderful and I wish I had the finances to send them all some really nice fancy gift, but this review will have to suffice for now.

My husband had to rush me to the hospital late Monday night. I was having severe stomach pains that I could only compare to contraction like pain, and was continuously vomiting. I mustve looked as tough as I felt because as soon as we walked in they brought me out a wheel chair and got me a room as soon as possible. My ER nurse took care of me for a couple hours and I swear she had to spend all of it sprinting around the hospital trying to keep me as comfortable as possible. The man that transported me to get my CT scan and up to my room in the hospital was incredible. He kept me laughing and kept my spirits up. The doctor that preformed my CT scan was laid back and we were able to make some jokes together, he kept all of my worries at bay. Turns out my appendix was swollen and I needed to have surgery. Once I got transferred to my room in the hospital all of the nurses at the station greeted me. ALL of the nurses that took care of me went above and beyond time and time again for even the smallest of things. The surgeons and the surgical nurses were incredible and really took the time to talk to me. It was my first surgery and felt no fear thanks to them. I was in a lot of pain and was very scared in the beginning, but thanks to the whole staff for being so warm, professional, and informed I was able to just relax and follow their instructions.

Hi, response owner, not one person apologize to me. An apology would have been accept, and could have relieved some pain and suffering. I almost died in your hospital, Im very serious and having a hard time letting go of all the evilness your staff inflicted on me. I reached out for help from the advocates, but it only got worst, then the retaliation began from Belleville Memorial Hospital to Shiloh East hospital. No-one cared about my health or me as a human being, they only wanted to hurt me and I have to live with that image for the rest of my life. Response Owner, the right thing to do is to apologize to all of us. One day I will share with the people about my experiences I will not go into details, but peoples please be aware Memorial has some incompetent RNS and under no circumstances should hold the title as RNS it mostly the young people. I appreciate the RNS who are there to provide quality care , dignity and respect for all people. If you are there to neglect people, I urge you to be careful also. The hospital are against some complaints so dont look for them to protect you expect retaliation.

I recently delivered at Memorial. I can not say enough about my OB, Dr. Merritt and the wonderful nurses that took care of me during my stay! Dr. Merritt was there the entire time while I was in labor, he is very hands on and soooo patient! Most obs come in when the baby is ready to come out and the nurses do all of the work. Dr. Merritt worked side by side with my labor nurse (who was more than amazing!) to ensure i was taken care of and that everthing was going well. I was so impressed with everyone and the way they all worked as a team to make sure i was comfortable and let me know everthing they were doing. All of the nurses and staff went well above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everthing I needed during labor as well as during my entire stay! they were so wonderful I can not say enough ! They were all so great, caring and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable Anethesia was awesome too, he did such a good job no pain and i hate needles! was so smooth! Awesome place to have your baby would not consider going anywhere else!!! more than 5stars for me!

Terrible care with staff that is incompetent. They tried to give my mother meds that she was in the hospital for in the first place 2 times! Some of the nurses were great but the doctors were difficult to get ahold of and didnt understand when they needed to talk with their patients or family members. They also didnt understand the concept of on-call doctors. I waited over an hour to hear back from the on-call doctor (Dr. Matthew J. Koch) after calling back twice to remind staff i ad not received a reply, who then insulted me for disturbing him at night and didnt understand why I called him if he hadnt seen my mother before. Thats the purpose of being on call! Unbelievable. Never again!

Memorial Hospital will be sending you bills for months after your visit. Seems most of the Memorial doctors or departments dont take the health insurance you have, or they decline to join a healthcare network. Of course you dont find this out until after your procedure is done. I should have become suspicious when Memorial offered me a 10% discount if I paid in cash before the procedure. Is it any wonder Memorial wants to merge with BJC? Anyone looking for quality care is going to BJC, where the patients dont get nicked and died for months after their visit.
