I cannot even give ONE star to this unsanitary place ever...I would bulldoze this building and train new drs and assistants too that dont know the meaning of protecting themselves from scratches or bites...I took my 9 month old kitten that was a therapy cat and my everything for a spay and front declaw.....every single declaw did not take and she got ended up with a severe infection that could NOT be treated and had to be put down humanely due to her being in such pain and very very ill...I did all I could to save her and another vet helped and even she was pretty shook up over the condition that this place left zane....I give them the worst review possible and am telling everyone I know do NOT take you loved pets there for even shots....they say they are sanitary but from all the asking around, everyone was SURPRISED THAT THEY EVEN STILL DO DECLAWS IN SUCH FILTH.... I had to go there due to the money situation and I never ever felt right about this place, it was dirty when I went in and looked a mess..... no telling what the operating room was like and you cant fool a fool, I used to be a vet ass and did the operations too and my place was pristine from the front door to every nook and cranny.... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOU BELOVED PETS THERE IF YOU VALUE THEIR LIVES AND THEY LITERALLY KILLED MY THERAPY CAT THAT I RAISED FROM 6 WEEKS..SHE WAS MY EVERYTHING AND I AM MORNING HER SEVERELY AND THEY SOUNDED SO FLIPPANT ON THE PHONE WHEN I TOLD THEM THEY KILLED HER.... I BLAME THEM AND ONLY THEM....BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND PPL HAVE HAD GOOD LUCK THERE, BUT AS OF NOW, PLZ IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAT ESPECIALLY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE..... I WISH I COULD CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN.....THEY HAVE TURNED MY LIFE INTO A NIGHTMARE AND JUST WANT THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR BEING SO LOSEY AND NOT TOO NICE ON THE PHONE EITHER...THEIR LAUNGUAGE WAS APPALLING TO ME AND NOT KNOW WHO THE NURSE OR WHOEVER I TALKED TO BUT HER LANGUAGE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECORDED AND TAKEN TO MY LAWYER...WITH HER KNOWLEDGE OF COURSE..... I HOPE THAT EVERYONE READS THIS AND TAKES NOTICE.... UNLESS YOU WANT TO BATTLE INFECTIONS FROM THAT PLACE AND ARE RICH GO AHEAD...AT YOUR OWN RISK...THIS PLACE GETS A 100 MINUS STARS FOR MY RATING....YOU ALL HAVE RUINED MY LIFE I WANT YOU TO KNOW. THANKYOU FOR NOTHING BUT LEAVING ME TO FEND ALONE WITHOUT MY THERAPY CAT...I WANT TO THANK THE DR WHO DID THIS BOTCHED SURGERY AND THANKS FOR TAKING MY CAT AWAY FROM ME, NOW I MAY END UP IN A HOSPITAL FROM NERVOUS BREAKDOWN AS YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SHE WAS TO ME AND SHE WAS ORDERED BY A DR.....AND A DR KILLED HER.....CLEAN UP YOU BUINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friendly staff with reasonable hours for your pet emergencies. Results can take some time since not every registered staff member works all the time. The services are fairly complete but not cheap. If your pet can wait, find another location if $ is a limiting resource. Health emergencies for a pet you love that are time sensitive are handled by professionals so keep this location in mind for non routine healthcare needs for Fido. As most animal clinics, the odor of urine wafts in ever present from scared animals. The clinic will board your pooch/cat if sedation is required but it is not an overnight pet hostel.

I have been going to Bethalto Animal Clinic for a very long time, and I love them! Dr. Dan and the staff are always available when I have a question, and they give me great advice instead of rushing me in the door for an office visit. They always reach out to me the next day to check on me and my dog, and they will squeeze me in to the office if I need to be seen quickly. Their customer service is awesome, and Dr. Dan truly cares about his patients and their human parents. An added benefit is that they are a local business, and I can keep my money in the community. I highly recommend Bethalto Animal Clinic.

I have been taking my animals to Bethalto Animal Clinic for 4 years. Not only are the prices reasonable, but the kind, caring way they interact with not only me, but my animals are Superb!! In one of the saddest times of my life when our sweet Tallies kidneys were failing, Dr. Dan and Christy were there for her even on their off time. They called to check on her on the Fourth of July Holiday even though they were closed! I cant say enough nice things about this wonderful group of people! Thanks for all you do!

At this point I dont like anything about them. When I called & told them my dog was barely moving & hadnt ate on over 24 hours they told me "we MIGHT be able to get him in, but cant guarantee it". Then when we called to tell them he had passed away & to take him off their mailing list, their response was so rude & uncaring. It was "we already got something on him". No "Im sorry for your loss" or anything sympathetic. Dont go there if you want to deal with people who actually care about your pet.

Weve taken all of our family pets here over the years and have had nothing but good things to say. From broken legs to broken larynx, pets being spayed and neutered and cats being declawed Dr. Dan has taken care of each of our animals. They even see my pets if there is an emergency and answer my questions over the phone. If you want a friendly vet that knows you and your pets by name and excellent care for your animals this is the vet for you!

I took my cat here to get neutered. I took her home and about a week later she developed a big knot in her belly. They said it was normal. A week after her check up i came home from work and went to pet her. She was dead......NEVER TAKE YOU PETS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM

No complaints. Ive had to have some tough conversations with these guys over the years and theyre always understanding. Theyre also able to accommodate our dog who isnt very friendly with other pets. Thats very much appreciated.

They always take care of my pets , they are awesome ,, and affordable because I live on disability . But I want the best I can give to my pets . They are my family . Thanks for getting my Lucy kitty back on trac again .

We have taken 2 dogs there for care. One had surgery and bith have been there for normal health care. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They take time to answer questions and seem to care about your pet.
