This has to possibly be the WORST hospital in the state, this is coming from a person whoms lived in more than 21 states and this is just terrible. Just (2) days ago i was mugged and beaten while walking on W111th the ambulance arrived and i was taken to this hospital. I waited 5-Hours and during that period of time NOT ONCE was i ever offered a band-aid or an Icepak, i had such a headache i was forced to ask one of the nurses for an icepak after waiting for 5-hours i finally walked to the back were the nurses and the staff work and asked them whats going on, i was told by one of the nurses to take a seat in one of the rooms so i did, waited 1 more hour and no one ever came to see me so i left with terrible pain and possibly a fractured skull. The staff has serious issues its like they hired a bunch of un-ethical,ghetto, lower class people to work for them, again im not saying EVERYBODY is like that but a majority of the people working there were behaving that way. Not to mention that on my way out i asked one of the security guards that was sitting on the counter if he knew the cabs phone number and that seemed bothered him, i mean seriously? youre just sitting there watching some cameras and talking on the phone doing nothing and it bothers you that someone simply asks you for a cab number? The worst i give this place a -9 stars with the exception of that one nice nurse whom called me a cab and made sure i got in the cab safe unfortunately im unable to rate in the negatives scale, other than that its no good. This is truly ghetto and rudeness at its finest.

Mr Martin aka Smart Ass Do you really think people bout to pay $200 for a Ghetto run down hospital like Roseland to see a Dr in a triage?!!?!! If they cant afford a Primary care Dr do you really think they can afford to give the hospital $200 up front money!!?! And it Dont matter what a person walk in the emergency room for they should be seen regardless!!! Im glad I dont live in that area cause I would Rally to close Roseland down. NOW YOU RUN TELL THAT!!! My Experience: Me and my daughter was visiting Family last summer in that area my daughter went in labor and had to be rushed to that ghetto hospital by ambulance to have her premature baby...if I could have drove her back home to go to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights to have her baby I would have!!!! cause her stay at Roseland was terrible, it was a 95 degrees outside and the Hosp told us they had no air condition....they bought a raggedy fan to her room told her to use that..Elderly Nurses was sleeping at the nurses station. Most of you have legit complaints. Most of the people that find themselves @ this hospital die , because they dont have a primary care doctor! People wait until they are so sick they couldnt be saved if a miracle came about! That person that had a skin rash !!!! Why would you go to an Emergency Room for a rash! If your respiratory system was not compromised then that is not an Emergency! They have a new system coming ur way real soon. The ER md will start seeing you in triage. If they determine your illnes is not an Emergency then you will have to pay two hundred dollars up front, Then I bet you will get a primary care MD! Run tell that.

My daughter came in due to a car accident. I was upset that the ambulance brought her to Roseland but I guess they didnt have a choice. The staff here at this hospital is ghetto.! They are loud, rude and very unprofessional. I was so tempted to take her to another hospital but I stayed only cause she was in pain. The state needs to come in and reevaluate this hospital. The staff are not friendly and they seem to be confused their self. I understand 100% that unfortunately some people have no choice but to come to this hospital BUT me and my family will never ever come here again.!!!

My 3month premature son was brought in today at 420pm because he kept losing breath and its now 819pm. Can you believe weve been sitting in the waiting area of the emergency room so long? When asking the receptionist what was the hold up, she gives an excuse about another patient that had just come in around 730. I peaked in the back to see what was going on and to my surprise you have the nurses huddled up at the station laughing and looking at a cell phone. If they dont care about a high risk premature baby that was born in their hospital, what makes them care for anyone?

This hospital is most likely the slowest hospital in AMERICA. Please someone build a more efficient hospital in my community. And they have the nerve to have smiling children and a old person of color on their poster. This man beside me has a fractured hand after playing ball. Hes been sitting in here for 3 straight hours. They helped my mom before quite well but shes in here for back problems and they have her in a horrible chair. Like someone said already only hookers come in to grab free condoms and homeless ppl come in to sleep in the restroom. Just disgusting

I was just recently here and was skeptical at first from all the bad reviews and the area however my experience was for the most part good yes you will be waiting yes the phones and computers were down for a while lol which prolonged me from getting a bed but the nurse on staff saw i wasnt doing so good so she took the initiative to get me registered and get me a room and grom there on it was fine food was actually decent you can choose what u want to eat staff was cool yes things can be better but my stay here wasnt too bad thank you roseland hospital
