Helen keller is at the top of a suck @#$ list of hospitals an suppose to be health pros .... 3 hrs to get x-rays after being told we would only have to wait 30 minutes in the lobby of ER which ended up being almost 2 hrs and an then another hour in the ER room to only be passed over for xrays by a number of ppl that came in hours after we did just because they knew some of the nurses an doctors on staff.... i absolutely plan to complain .. an for worn any one who plans to come to this hospital... i think Russellville hospital would have been a better choice! And everyone knows that was a sarcastic remark!

I wouldnt give them that but my nephew has a life threaten illness we just found out last night he was at Shoals Hospital and they ran all kinds of test on him but when it came down to admitted him they wouldnt cause he has No insurance so they said they called ECM and Helen Keller to see if they would take him and they turned him away also so now we got to set around and watch my nephew stay sick and watch his illness take place he can leave me and no one would help him what kind of people we are dealing with these days $$ is all evil just Please pray for my nephew

I visited here for my first experience delivering my daughter. The nurses were exceptional. I grew closely to each one of them and they truly made my experience the best of could have possibly been. I just received my hospital bill (lower than I expected) and they told me if I paid the balance within 30 days I would receive a 40% discount!! So thrilled with this hospital. I will be returning with each of my deliveries. Oh, and the food was better than I expected! Clean hospital.. Im thankful to have this institution in my town!! Go HK!!

Helen Keller is the worst hospital in North Alabama. Only take your family member here if you do not want to have the proper treatment for your illness, if you do not want to be cared for and if you want to leave in the same or worse condition than you came in. Just make the extra drive to ECM or Huntsville, do not waste your time or money. (I would rate this hospital a zero but for review purposes it makes you select a star rating before you can post a review.)

I was appalled with the care we received. I work in the health care field an know some of the rules and standards of care. The place was filthy. The floors had so much dirt. They had not seen a mop in months. No pillows for the patients. No vital monitoring after heavy medication sedation. No wheelchair out to the car. I can not believe how dirty the ER. Maybe they should hire more house keepers and quit taking the money and benifits away from the workers.

I had to go to the er on 1-8-15. Yes I had to wait a while but I understand that because I know it must be hard to decide who need to be treated first.. When I got back to the room everyone was really nice.. I saw doctor Heather Childers as we doctor. She is a really good doctor. But I also want to say that the surgeon Dr. Billsby is a really good surgeon. Thanks for all they done for me...

They have been taking care of my dad off and on for years and are always friendly and professional. Quality of care is exceptional. He recently had a very risky surgery for his age and condition, and they took excellent care of him and US. Kudos!

I went here for abdominal pains and weakness, they did a pregnancy test and sent me on my way. No ultrasound, I told them the area was tender to the touch, no CT, nothing. Pain meds that didnt work and got sent home. Dont go here.

I recently had surgery at Keller. The staff was top notch. The care I received there was great. It was a bit of a drive for me but if the need arises again I will go back to Helen Keller .
