I had an appointment at 130. I came in gave my insurance and tgat was that. I waited 2 hours just about to see a doctor for a follow up for my strep thoat. Once i came in the nurse was very nice she did her job perfectly. However once the doctor came in he didnt know why he was in there. I had strep for a week and 2 days he said it was wayyy to early to detect if i was better. Felt my throst oncexl and looked at my pill. He asked the typically questions smoker? Drinker? Sexual Active? The tried his best to pursue me to get the HPV vaccine. I say no thank you. I want an update for my throat. He left and came back with a woman doctor trying her best to persuade me to get this vaccine. Im asking questions about my strep they cant answer it. "Oh so can i go back to work." " why did you miss work strep throat isnt contagious" what. Im pretty thats how i got it because its contagious of course its contagious. And they both said its not and that i didnt have to miss work at all. Then they proceeded to ask if i want the vaccine again. Once i said no they said i was done here and that there was anything i could do. So as i left the doctor gave me a packet on the vaccine with my doctors date on it for when i need to schedule my appointment for the vaccine. It was such a waste of time going there. Never again.

When will I learn to avoid any clinic affiliated with Mercy hospital? I have a similar, bad experience everywhere I go. I booked a routine physical with a doctor here on Zocdoc (which is a good site, by the way) because its close to my new home. Despite booking an appointment, I still had to wait over an hour and a half past my appointment to be seen. After the physical, I told the doctor I wanted blood work done. She ordered it, and I came back a few days later to get blood drawn. No issues at the lab. A week passed after I got blood drawn. I had no phone call saying the results were in. I didnt receive any results in the mail. I called the front desk. No one answered, so I left a voicemail. No one called me back. So I called the lab the next day. They transferred me to another voicemail. So I just went in person asking for my results. Of course, my doctor wasnt in and in fact had cancelled her clinics all week. Shes only at this clinic twice per week. I was told I had to make an appointment with the doctor in order to get the results. That is, unless doctor actually calls me before my appointment. On top of it all, my doctor is leaving this clinic in a couple weeks anyway. My search for a primary care doctor continues.

Appointment at 11am was called to the back by the medical assistant shortly before 11am only to sit in the room waiting for the doctor until after 12. Then when the doctor comes in the room I have to inform her that it is very unprofessional to wait for over an hr to be seen no one bothered to tell us if the doctor was behind. When asked how long before my child would be seen was told she was next only for the doctor to walk into another room for a pt whos appt was AFTER my childs. Needless to say the doctor and medical assistants who have some kinda professionalism has left. Will be going to find her pediatrician who left the practice and who I NEVER had this problem with. Dr Pierre Noisette is truely missed along with his MA Bobbie. If you dont mind a long wait this this is the place for you and the doctor my child saw was Dr. Barclay

I overheard the nurse practitioner talking amongst other nurses about me, and not in a mannerable way. She stated that she hope that I had left. Not sure what I did to make her uncomfortable, but its not cool for a patient to hear a nurse talk badly about them. Then, when I stepped out to let her know I was still there she just had a shocked look on her face. This is why its hard to be open with doctors, most are judgemental. And Im a very healthy patient, most of the information like sex life..etc, I think mightve been too much for her to handle... But then again your a nurse in a healthcare career. I pay out of pocket expenses, no public aid here. Im pretty sure people will think and assume that I was being cared for by a black woman since most times they can be unprofessional, this woman was white and older like 55.

I can honestly say I do miss Dr. Noisette. Since he has been gone I have come for a routine check up for my son and was there waiting to be seen for over 3hrs.
