DO NOT GO SEE DR. RICHARD PERSINO if you want a typical doctor!!! You will not find that in him. Dr. Persino is AMAZING! I honestly wish I could clone him and have one of him as my doctor for each aspect of my health. Let me start by saying that he delivered my son 18.5 years ago and just did my hysterectomy on Jan. 16, 2015. I would not be his patient if he was a typical doctor. Dr. Persino is: a true friend, he is caring, patient, loving, nurturing and really in tune with EACH one of his patients on an individual level. He takes the time to hear all your concerns, those that pertain to his practice and those that dont, and he addresses each and every one of them in a very personable and compassionate way, adding in his wealth of knowledge. Dont get me wrong, he is a doctor but he is more then just that. Dr. Persino is a professional, and the knowledge he has is 2nd to none, in his field, but when you are in the same room as him, you forget he is a doctor. I promise, you feel like you are in a room with your best friend that you would and do trust your life with! He is truly AMAZING! and if you start seeing him, that is when you will fully understand my post. I do not even have the words to tell you what an amazing, human he is. Sue, his MA, also amazing. She took my staples out after 2 separate surgeries, I never even felt her doing it. She talks with you on a personal level, makes you feel loved and welcomed and lets you know that she is a person ( a very caring and compassionate person I might add) with very real feelings for her patients. Sue, his receptionist, WOW! What a gem he found in her. I have had some pretty scary health concerns (scary to me anyway) and she has been able to feel my emotions and calm me down before even seeing doc. As you can tell, I can not say enough about these three people, I get choked up thinking about the care that they provide. But see for yourself. You will get a glimpse of what Im saying with your very first call to his office.

I could not be happier with Dr. Persino! He is the best Dr. in my opinion! I have been seeing him for almost 8 years my only regret is that I didnt find him sooner!! He really takes his time with me and listens to what I am asking and what my concerns are when I have them. He has always made me feel so comfortable, Lets face it we all dread that once a year pap but honestly he has such a great sense of humor and great outlook on life that you before you know it everything is done. When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter he knew about my first delivery being early and took every precaution to make sure that I had a great pregnancy and that she wouldnt be early. The day that I delivered his partner was on call but guess who came in anyway! YEAP! Dr. Persino - thats the kind of Dr. he is, he really does care about his patients!

Terrible! Do not go here - especially for your first baby. Dr. Persino is a nice guy, but doesnt seem too knowledgeable or caring. Doesnt tell you what to expect or what you should be doing. Just a text book doctor who would rather chat about his weekend than your pregnancy. Doesnt seem too comfortable doing paps either. His receptionist could care less who you are or what your problems are. The receptionist on the other/right side (for Dr. Whittman, maybe?) is very friendly and caring. The billing lady (Delores?) is great. BUT, Dr. Persino gets a D+ in my book. I switched doctors at 23 weeks and wished I had done so MUCH sooner!

I have been seeing Dr. Persino for years. Dr. Persino is extremely caring. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. He does not mind if I call him with the simplest of questions, in fact he encourages it. His sense of humor makes the appointments more comfortable. I highly recommend him and have referred friends to him who are equally happy with the care they received.

I went to Dr Persino when I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. Unlike the first (female!) OB-Gyn I went to, his first answer wasnt hysterectomy, and at every stage of the process he explained what was going on and paid attention to my concerns. A minor detail: my scar is almost invisible!
