My son went to Mundelein Pediatrics for his very first year. We liked that they were pro vaccination and they had a "sick child" entrance and a "well child" entrance. They also took our insurance. However... they ALWAYS had me on hold FOREVER every time I called. I had to wait 15 mins on hold just to check an appointment time and date regardless of me telling them thats all I needed. I would get hung up on half the time I was on hold and I would have to call back to be at the end of the hold waiting list AGAIN. Very frustrating. They also refused to see my child with fever and ear infections when my Flex Spending was locked and did not go through for the $20 copay. Their billing department is also very short with you. They are extremely rude and try to get off the phone as quickly as they can without even listening to what youre asking for. I love how they cut you off and say "Anything else?" How about "is there anything else I can help you with today?", just to share, I am also in the administrative healthcare/billing/customer service field myself and the way was I was treated was not polite and unprofessional. Need an itemized receipt to submit to your Flex Spending Account for them to unlock your FSA debit card? forget it. You will never get it, and if you sound a BIT frustrated because you called 4 times about it and still have not received anything they will help you even less. The Doctors are nice, even though I am not a big fan of seeing a different doctor every time I go in somewhere. I feel like you can never build a relationship and know the entire background and story of the patients condition and reasons for previous visits like that, personally speaking. Fun fact: I truly believe they forget you are in the room as they close the door while you wait in there. I waited several times for way over 40 minutes for ANYBODY to come in the room. If they were really busy I would of liked an occasional "hey were a bit backed up, you have not been forgotten" check in. But with a sick, crying, wiggly, infant.... not a great experience. Another fact our family in particular has experienced: My child is very prone to ear infections and gets sick... a lot. And as a parent you JUST KNOW when your little one isnt themselves and that they are not feeling too good either by change in behavior or with obvious clues, like vomiting and fever. We would go in to get my son checked out, to be told "everything was okay" after a quick minute check up, to then come back AGAIN a couple of days later for the SAME THING that had just gotten worse. I also felt like they had me coming back like that just to collect co-pays. My poor baby would go through unnecessary pain and discomfort, what parent wants that for their babies? not me. I guess what Im really not happy with is their customer service experience. When you work in the field I guess you just know how to tell when the bare minimum is being done, if anything is getting done that is. Just overall bad experiences with being on hold forever, all those visits and copays they took every time for visits were my son wasnt even checked, horrible customer service with their billing department, and never getting the same doctor. If youve had great experiences with them thats great! But my personal experience was overall horrible. I now go to Dr Harris in Libertyville, and let me tell you, I regret not taking my child there sooner!!

This group missed the murmur my son has, which ended up being a hole between his ventricles, for the first four years of his life. When he was an infant he had skin discoloration across his chest when he would cry or exert himself and they told me it was nothing, guess not. A few months back we brought him in for a broken foot and Dr. Farahdeih refused to do X-rays and diagnosed him with a sprain that needed a boot. When they couldnt locate a boot they just said oh well, and sent him out the door with nothing. Clearly it was broken so I requested a referral to the orthopedic doctor who did an X-ray in his office, sure enough the foot was indeed broken. He fitted him with a boot that day. My daughter gets strep throat multiple times a year, I called the office with concerns regarding this issue, 2 hours later when no one called me back, I called again. I was told by the nurse practitioner Maral that the swelling and white patches on her throat with fever and lack of appetite were no big deal... I asked to speak with a physician. Dr. Shair then called back and made it very clear how much Id inconvenienced her by pulling her from the patients she was seeing to call me back, she seemed to be snickering and I could hear people laughing in the background as well, because infections that could be lethal are real funny.. If you care at all about your kids and their health you will stay far far away from this group of what I can only deem, quacks.

Horrible doctors office! My 2 year old daughter stopped using her arm and they wanted to do a wait and see approach. After we demanded to see more doctors and waiting to get referrals, since we have a HMO, a brain tumor was found. All the doctors in the hospital were shocked it wasnt discovered sooner. She had 2 major surgeries and this doctors office never called after her major surgery to see how she was doing. Also have been a huge pain with referrals and have made numerous mistakes that we are having to appeal and might have to pay for. Also denied her approval to have a specialized therapy so we are having to pay for it ourselves since she has a weakness on one side of her body from the tumor and removal. They do not care about their patients and the office staff is a mess. I had to repeat 100 times what was needed for my daughter. Stay away from this place!!

With 7 kids, we are at the doctors office a lot. Two of my kids have had issues with vaccinations, so we were delaying them until they were older. Due to a series of circumstances beyond our control, we had delayed them longer than I would have liked. They have us on an easy catch-up schedule and my kids are doing great. I like all of the doctors and nurse practitioners I have seen. The walk-in hours are a God-send, especially when they have an ear infection Friday night! You can go in Saturday morning rather than waiting for Monday to make an appointment. I am very happy with this practice.

I took my children there for two years...never saw the same doctor...no body knows the history of my children ...then the topper came when they refused to see my child with a potentially life threatening illness untill I cleared up a billing mistake.....so while my child was sick and could have been died they wanted a billing mistake corrected first.....Not what I want for my childs caregiver.....someone who cares more about $146 (there mistake ps.) than my childs well being!!!!

As a mom of three, Ive been very happy with the quality of service from Mundelein. Im always able to make an appointment and be seen for illness the same day. I love the walk in hours. As a Realtor, I get asked A LOT about who I recommend. The doctors, nurse practitioners, and nurses at Mundelein Peds have been responsive and thorough to any sick or well visit. My kids love seeing the nurse practitioner Jeremy because he has them laughing so hard each time we go in.
