After reading raving reviews I decided to give it a try and be ready to finally have a dentist place for life. I generally dont like dentists as I am yet to meet a really good dentist who did honest work without cribbing about money. Anyways, SDS seemed really good with everyone making you feel welcome and the generally the overall ambience is very nice. On my first visit they did a thorough check up and explained where the cavities are and I filled out a form with my all history. At the end they ask you what are your concerns when it comes to dental visit and I said "cost" and "pain". I thought it was a cool idea as no ever asked me that and that at least they care to ask. Then they gave me a price for all the work which seemed high but thats ok as the office very professional. So I decided to get one of bad cavities filled as the doctor insisted I should take care of it before it becomes worse and I lose my teeth. So I go for it and they do anesthesia to help with the pain and they do the filling with a cap and sent me home saying it fit nicely but you may need couple adjustments. After 2 weeks of waiting I could not eat anything crunchy and my surrounding t eeths pain along with the one I got filled. So I go back to get the adjustment and its been another week of pain still cannot eat anything crunchy on one side. The point of getting a cavity filled is you can still use your teeth and be able to eat. It seems kinda silly that i have to make multiple appointments to take care of one filling. Anyways i called the office to schedule another adjustment which they gave another week later. At this time I dont have a lot of faith it will get better but they are at least trying. I am giving 2 stars for now at least trying to fix the problem at no cost but they definitely lost the trust as far as my two biggest concerns when it comes to dentists and will be looking for another dentist soon it seems. If they fix this teeth properly I will probably change my opinion

This is my story on how ridiculous Dr. Patel and his staff are. The morning I went to Dr. Patel was because I was eating kashi cereal and a hard piece of the granola broken my molar filling and cracked my tooth in half. At the beginning Dr. Patel listened to me explain this story and even cracked a few jokes back and forth about how eating healthy has its cons. After he extracted my tooth I told him I had paper work from Kashi he had to fill out so the company themselves can company me for the procedure that was done. Dr. Patel was happy to take the sheet and tell me he would fill it out and email it to me. A week goes by and I let it go by because I know he might be a busy guy. I called the front desk and they told me on two different accounts they will take my message and relay it to him regarding the fact I never got his email with his sign off. I finally call for the last time and I ask where the paperwork is and the incompetent front desk lady said " dr. Patel is avoiding your calls cause he says the paper work looks like workmans comp. " I told her well if he or you were to remember your patients and take notes that sheet clearly states that it is a compensation form from kashi cereal and all he needs to do is send them the paperwork on the procedures. I told her Id be coming in for the paper work regardless if signed or not. She then calls me back saying that he took a second look at it after a full week and some days and decided that "I was right and it was a compensation form" no duh. This staff is a joke. Also for my molar to be Removed was $640 bucks while at Addison dental they would have done it for $300. Take your mouth else where this place is a scam full of just people who want you in and out.

I was a little nervous going in for my appt which I made the night before because my crown fell out. My fears were unfounded, not only did they accommodate MY emergency they made me extremely comfortable and didnt make me feel as if my teeth were worse for the wear. Since that appt the hygenist cleaned my teeth , the office manager drew my blood for my implant(mind you this procedure is state of the art) Dr Patel and his assistant explained in detail every step until my implant is complete. I cant wait to go back for my 6month cleaning and the final step for my implant in September. Dr Patel, his practice and his staff are all top notch I would(and did) recommend them to anyone in need of any dental work. Thank you to the front staff (your friendly smiles), April for your knowledge and comforting ways prior to any procedure , Lizette for taking your time drawing my blood pain free and effortless, Tania for being a compassionate and gentle hygenist with a great smile, and Dr Patel for having such passion in your profession, it shows in your work and your team , you are extremely knowledgeable friendly and trusting with your staff, very refreshing. Lastly...Thank You Schaumburg Dental Studio you are all simply the BEST

I came in for appointment with my brother for a free orthodontic consultation. Before I set up the appointment I clarified if it will be for free multiple times. During the consultation everyone was friendly and even us "new patients" had to write down concerns we have. I wrote down "trust and cost." The free consultation included x-rays. The receptionist provided tour of the studio. In the end, they asked for an insurance card to check for orthodontic purposes such as if braces will be partially covered. Then Dolly, the financial coordinator, sent us a copy of our preview proposed cost and what insurance will cover. I wrote a review almost the same week I went there. They were very nice and the doctor was explaining everything. I was considering of getting my braces here even though it was far from where I live. Now, I am receiving a bill from my insurance company for the consultation that was supposed to be free. I did not give an authorization for the studio to charge me and my brother for a "free" consultation. I will call Dolly, the financial coordinator, and my insurance company to dispute Schamburg Dental Studios claim. This is not a trust worthy studio. I will never recommend this place.

Beautiful, clean and professional! I had a horrible toothache and was able to see Dr. Patel the SAME DAY! My consultation, exam and X-rays were FREE! They didn't even bill my insurance. I couldn't believe it when I was told Dr. Patel is willing to give his time to meet a new patient just to diagnose them. I was greeted by Dolly, awesome receptionist, Lizette the assistant took my X-rays and Dr. Patel came in right away to introduce himself and put me at ease. He took care of my pain and explained my need for a root canal and crown. I thought for sure I'd be in debt forever. But it wasn't expensive at all!!! The office manager Veronica explained my insurance and co-pay. I never realized how important it was to take care of your teeth! I even decided to get braces!!!! Who would've thought at 30, I would be in braces?!? Schaumburg Dental Studio is the best! My husband and 10 yr old are now patients also. I strongly recommend going in...cleanings, fillings, braces, invisalign-they do it all! Its a FREE consultation! It's worth your time!!!
