Weve been to numerous vets before we were referred here. Unfortunately owning a pet is expensive but this animal hospital does their best to have deals on shots and dental cleanings and they also have a lot of good content on their App. They help out the community and always have something fun going on where you can bring your pet. I know my dog loves going here because he gets attention from all the sweet ladies! They are polite, courteous, and knowledgeable. They are upbeat and always sweet to my dog which makes me feel good and that he will be taken care of properly. Other places we have been to are very unpersonable and it is just another job for them. Here it is the total opposite. I will continue to come here and refer them to my friends!

My family has been bringing their pets here for a very long time so when I adopted my little puppy a few years ago, naturally I started bringing him here. The staff are truly animal lovers, there is not a single person there that does not adore my little guy. Everyone remembers him by his name and loves to give him attention, which is great because bringing him to the vet kind of stresses him out so this really eases his pain for him. There hasnt been a problem Dr. McGinniss cant solve and I just dont think I would ever go anywhere else. Theyre AAHA accredited and very clean! Overall great care for your pet!

We have been going to the Animal Hospital of Lake Villa since they opened. They are always very friendly, accommodating and compassionate. We have two very skittish labs and the vets and assistance take all the time they need to calm them down and earn their trust (using tiny pieces of chicken) before even approaching them. Last week we needed to get one of the dogs in for a problem and they got us in within 2 hours. They took all the time our dog needed even though they were squeezing us in. We have never had a problem with a diagnosis or treatment. He highly recommend Dr McGinnis and staff.

My visit was horrible in 2015... Over $200 for a few shots??? And they gassed my poor cat instead of letting me hold her while they poked her with the needle.... Not to mention they brought her back from the gas chamber (or as the "nurse" called it "The HappyBox") unconscious with her tounge hanging out. Then charged me for them gassing her. Outrageous... I will not recommend this place at all.... Way over priced and treat your animal like crap. Smells very bad in here also.

Ive taken my adopted dog here since we moved from Colorado. Ive never met a vet so knowledgeable and personable. Its nice to go to an office and not be treated like a dollar sign. Ive had a few emergency scares ( my pup tried to eat ibproufin) & they were helpful and professional. The added bonus is that you deal with one Doctor. Its always the same vet seeing your pet. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

My girlfriend had to go out of town and our dog got sick while she wasy away. Shes the one that deals with everything so I was completely lost but she had their magnet on the fridge so I gave them a call and they helped to make everything so pain free. I seriously didnt know it was that easy to take your dog to the vet. They were very nice too and my dog was better the next day. Definitely recommend.

Recently I had to bring my cat to Animal Hospital of Lake Villa for a diagnose of diabetes and it was tough for me to regulate his medication, but after seeing Dr. McGinnis, I realized how great of a veterinarian he really is. He completely explained what I needed to do for my cat. The staff in general just does not compare to other doctors, and I recommend Animal Hospital of Lake Villa to everyone.

This is a great hospital, I highly recommend it. Its not too pricey and everyone there is extremely nice and caring. The place its self is always very clean and calm. And when it comes to medical things, they explain everything very thoroughly and always answer any questions I have. I know I can trust them with my dog and its honestly a really great place.

I really like that the entire staff at Animal Hospital of Lake Villa has the best interest of the animals at heart. They take their time to fully examine each pet to make sure everything is ok. In addition, they always explain everything in detail which is comforting.

Love this animal hospital. The staff are all huge animal lovers, and the veterinarians are top notch. They help out animal rescues and are all-around great folks! They have performed miracles with some very sick puppies. I trust them to do the best for my pets.
