I have had the worst experience at this practice. I paid a lot of money to complete Invisalign treatment here and everything was going fine until Dr. Kim left. When trying to make an appointment to take impressions for my retainers, I had to call five times, and speak to four different people who continually told me they needed to speak with the dentist, who was always in with a patient. I never received a call back from anyone and it wasnt until my fifth try that I was told I didnt even need to meet with the dentist to get my impressions! After my impressions were taken, I was told it would be 2-3 weeks before my retainers came in. After three weeks passed, I called to check on the status. Once again no one had any answers because the dentists who were covering for Dr. Barata arent even certified in Invisalign so they had to send my case to another orthodontist who could apply my retainers!! Why would you have dentists covering you if they couldnt finish treatment for your patients?! To make things worse, my retainers werent in yet, so I asked if someone could follow up with the other ortho to find out what was happening, I was told someone would call. Of course I didnt hear anything back for two days, so I called back only to be told by Carolyn, the front desk receptionist, that the retainers werent in yet, to which I asked if someone had called the ortho to follow up, which she said they had. I called back after about another week only to be told, by Carolyn, that the ortho, who someone supposedly called the week before, wouldnt know the status, they had to call the lab. So, Carolyn lied to me!! Apparently, the lab dropped the ball and my retainers hadnt been made. When they finally came in a week and a half later, I scheduled and appointment to have them applied only the be called a few days before my appointment that the dentists in this office still werent certified in Invisalign and couldnt apply the retainers, so I would have to go to Crystal Lake AND pick up my own retainers!! They couldnt even be trusted to transport my retainers to the other office!!! Thankfully, the other office was extremely helpful and was able to get me in right away. This practice is incompetent. I havent even heard from the practice manager attempting to rectify the situation because shes always traveling. I have never been treated so horribly in my life. Save your sanity and go somewhere else.

Dr. Kim was nice but the office manager/receptionist (Trisha) and the short stocky female dentist were very rude, ignorant, and arrogant. During our first appointment, we specifically asked for the first appointment of the day because we had other engagements. We walked in around 7:45 am and did not walk out until past 9:40 am for just the crown evaluation (no treatment involved). The evaluation was only 10 minutes but sat in the dental chair for over a hour. What was the problem? The receptionist scheduled another customer (existing patient) with Dr. Kim for the same time and date. When I questioned the receptionist, she said, it happens all the time. While I was complaining about this issue, one of the short stocky female (dentist) overhearing my complaint smirked and added the fuel by saying, "Many other places do the same." I understand you book multiple people for multiple dentists, but you dont book multiple patients at the same time and date for the dentist. Later, Dr. Kim explained that she had no idea she had two patients scheduled for the same time and she apologized. But the receptionist (who made the mistake) and the other dentist never apologized for their stupidity and rudeness. In addition, during the first visit, the same receptionist gave us the estimate charge after the insurance responsibility. But after the treatment, the charges were very different than what they had estimated during the first visit. When I argued, the same receptionist never apologized and did not provide me with sufficient explanation other than saying, "Your insurance is not paying their portion." When I called the insurance company, they said that the dental care billed them with wrong billing (medical) code. This went on for several months.... The bottom line is that what they say is different than what they do!

My fiancée had a horrible toothache and we tried calling several places, telling them how much pain he was in for several days, but no one could get him in for several days up to a week!! We were referred to Dental Care from one of those "800" referral sites and they were able to get us in the SAME day!! Everyone was extremely nice, and since he didnt have insurance, we were worried about the cost. They met with him, called me back, and went over everything they were going to do today and hiw much it was going to cost. They then helped set up a normal xray/cleaning, and said they would let us know about his other tooth at that time. After all this, the price was VERY reasonable!!! I cant recommend them enough for understanding the pain and urgency in getting him seen the same day and the affordability. THANK YOU, Dental Care of Round Lake Beach!!

Went to them the first time on January 5th 2017. My crown fell out. They cemented it in. 15 minutes later while drinking water it was washed down. I had to go back in. I was instructed to get xray ed to make sure the crown wasnt in lungs and theyd pay for it. Long story short bill as of 24 March still not paid. Everyone having me come back and forth. But all being assistance not denist. Finally told by a denist taking over they cant fix it and I need to see someone else. They should have told me this from day one not 3 months later. So now I have to see someone else to get the tooth fixed. Never did they return calls or explain. Terrible and waste of time.

This dentist was recommended by a fellow teacher, so I took my teen daughter here for a check-up. Having had some prior less than wonderful experiences with a dentist, she was feeling pretty anxious. I cannot say enough about the dentist and staff at this facility. They were patient, kind, and when she needed a cavity filled, went above and beyond to help her feel comfortable. We will definitely be coming back!

Office staff is extremely frustrating and will tell you one thing one day and something the next. The Doctors a friendly and good they just need to get there front end staff on the same page. Update, two crowns done two crowns fell out. Left messages and no one returns them.

THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW against fly-by-night garbage dental places that prey upon the poor communities. From Dencare to Dental Dreams to this horrid crackhouse of an office, they all deserve to be in jail. Honestly, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!

Was a great place to go until a previous dentist left the company. Long after you tell them you are not coming back they continue to schedule appointments. LEAVE ME ALONE, I AM NOT PAYING FOR AUTO-SCHEDULED MISSED APPOINTMENTS!!!!!

Super friendly staff and friendly Dentists. Very helpful and supportive on scheduling and a modern facility. I used to hate going to the dentist. But now so much here. ;-)
