I recently had the unwelcoming experience of putting down our family Shitzu who was with us for 18 years. Emily began the process by assisting with what will occur and answering any questions I might have (Thank you). Upon arrival, I was directly escorted to a private room where I had the opportunity to spend some more time with our beloved Gucci. Emily introduced Dr. Taylor who was very warm and compassionate. Dr. Taylor further advised on the entire process and what to expect after the medication is administered. Dr. Taylor respected the last minutes I spent with our beloved Gucci giving me the opportunity to say my final thoughts and not rushing me. Dr. Taylor gave me time afterwards to grieve as well after he took his final breath. For that, Im very thankful to Emily and Dr. Taylor. Going into this I knew it was time for Gucci to be put down because of his struggles and I though it was going to be easier because he was suffering. I learned its never easy though but the staff made it THAT much easier and I thank them for it greatly. Dr. Taylor even took time to hand write a card to express her condolences so Dr. Taylor THANK YOU!!!

They charge you to come in and breathe their air. Theres got to be some more reasonably priced vet services close by. Youre paying for their high overhead at this building that was recently added on and remodeled. Even when I called ahead of time to get a price for a simple office visit, I was unpleasantly surprised AGAIN when they charged me more than what was quoted the night before. If you visit their office, be prepared for overkill on the services, tests and number of people they send in see your pet. The name of the game there is UPCHARGE and misquote and wring your wallet dry. If youre just looking for basic services from a qualified vet, steer clear of this place. AND, they will never just refill a prescription that your pet is taking on a regular basis. Theyve always got to get you back in the office for another visit so they can whack you again with all their charges. Try to stay away!

Animal Hospital of Streamwood has provided exceptional veterinary care to my dogs for the past 16 years. During that long span, we have needed treatment for illness, injuries, and chronic conditions, in addition to dental maintenance and routine exams. Through it all, I have been satisfied that my pets were in capable hands, receiving the best possible medical attention. Animal Hospital of Streamwood is an up-to-date facility with modern equipment, but it is also a comfortable, welcoming place. The staff members are very friendly, and the doctors are not only experienced and knowledgeable; they are gentle and compassionate. They genuinely bond with the pets. They listen carefully and communicate clearly, and always give a variety of options for treatment. In 16 years, Ive never had one cause to complain. Animal Hospital of Streamwood has earned my loyalty and my trust.

We are new to the Chicago area and needed to find a vet for our dog Kash after she hurt her back. We were very worried for her because she has never really had any injuries and she just wasnt acting like herself. Being tight on money we were looking for place that had payment plans so we could get our dog the care that she needed. We chose AHS becaue they take care credit, even though they are about a 40 minute drive from our place. We are so happy that our affordable care search brought us to Animal Hospital of Streamwood! The staff is very friendly and both the vets we have seen so far have been amazing and helpful and treated our dogs with care and kindness. We ended up bringing our other dog, Padfoot, for a physical as well. We are definitely making AHS our permanent Animal Hospital, despite the distance. They are that good.

I have 2 dogs and 1 cat who have been patients at The Animal Hospital of Streamwood for over 4 years now. The doctors there are extremely knowledgable and keep up to date on the latest treatment options. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I have read some of the negative reviews here and couldnt disagree more. The doctors and staff take the time to educate me on options that I never even knew existed for my pets. I have never felt pressured by anyone. I have learned something new about my pets and what I can be doing for them at each and every visit. I completely trust their recommendations for my special family members.

I hate i even have to rate them one star. this place is awful. I rushed my dog there cause she had something stuck in her airway. They refused to treat her cause it was a couple mins after closing time. They recommend me to go to golf rose. I speed off and got to Schaumburg vet instead cause it was a lot closer than their recommendation. Schaumburg vet did a great job and I recommend any one who cares about their pets to go there instead of this dump. im just glad my dog made it to the Schaumburg vet or other wise they would have a real pissed off dude to have to deal with. @!## this place!!

My cat is suffering, after his 2 visits to this "chop shop". Wish I had the $ to hire an attorney/ investigators to shut this place down. Go to Yelp. Read the reviews. They take tons of money from you. Take ur pet in another room. For a VERY long time. Your precious pets are never the same after :( Very "fake" sweet when You come in, dont be fooled!!!! Horrible!! And sad. They milked me for about $1800. In the span of about 2 months. For BOGUS services. I already reported them to PETA. Dog owners seem to give good reviews??? Seems like the cruelty is only to cats. Read the reviews :( Just fyi

All of our dogs have gotten wonderful care over the years from the vets here. At puppy visits, they had good advice on how to handle the normal puppy problems like chewing and housebreaking. With the older dogs, they were quick to diagnose illnesses and explain the treatment options. We always felt like they cared about our dogs and they respected us enough to tell us all the options and help us choose what worked for us. Since we moved out of state, its been so hard to find as good a place to take our dogs. Maybe theyll start opening satellite offices...

AH of Streamwood took excellent care of my dog when she had a vaccine reaction and nearly died. She also had extensive dental work with which I was more than impressed with. However, as a former Vet. Tech., I was appalled at the prices for well check ups and yearly exams. I find they neglect what I consider basic services (nail trims, checking anal glands, ears) and charge outrageous prices. The cost of my dogs emergency and dental care was reasonable, but Im not sure I can continue to use them because of their basic cost.

My pets are my family. Animal Hospital of Streamwood has been caring for them for a long time. I am always happy with the care my animals recieve and the extra attention they give. They are a great staff who really care about animals and their people. They take there time, are very thorough, kind, and compassionate. When I leave the hospital with my pet, I know that we have recieved the best of medical care possible. Thats priceless.
