My experience at Heaton Eye Associates, was AMAZING, in one word. All of the staff was very helpful and very encouraging. The moment I walked in to the LASIK suite, I was offered something to drink, and asked if I needed anything. This made me feel very comforted, and also very taken care of. They were very reassuring during the whole procedure, from the front desk staff, to the nurses, and Dr. Nickel himself. What I liked the best about it is that Dr. Nickel asked to pray for us before the procedure. This was just awesome to me! The actual LASIK procedure did not take very long, it was a few minutes, and it was painless (this was very important to me, Im a big baby when it comes to pain.) After the procedure, I was escorted by the staff to my ride outside which was very nice of them to do. The next day I had to come back for a 1 day Post Op, and I recieved the same customer service as before, and the best part of that day was that my vision went from finger counting vision, to 20/15! On the first day! That is perfect vision, and my vision is only getting better! To sum it all up, the customer service I revieved there was above and beyond any customer service I have ever had. I strongly refer anyone who wants LASIK or any other procedure to go to Heaton Eye Associates. All of the doctors are excellent and are experts at what they do!

I Had Lasik at Heaton Eye Associates it is hands down the best thing I have ever done. I would like to thank them for the gift of sight. This is a life changing experience. I have worn glasses or contact lenses since I was 7 years old. Without glasses or contacts in I was only able to see hand motion. That means if I got up in the night I had to find my glasses to get around. I want to tell you from start to finish how Wonderful the Heaton Eye Associates Team is! I was nervous about the procedure but the staff and setting was relaxing and reassuring. Everything went great! I woke up after my long nap at home after surgery and it just happened to be in the middle of the night. The moon was very bright that night and I was almost moved to tears because I could see the detail of the window and what was outside in DETAIL!!! WITHOUT GLASSES!!. It was life altering and I wish I had decided to check into it sooner. I have the gift of great sight from an Amazing group of skilled surgeons and no longer spend money on glasses or Contacts! Make an appointment as soon as possible with them you will not be sorry!!

Yesterday, I had cataract removal & multifocal lifestyle lens implant surgery in my left eye, and two weeks ago had the same operation in my right eye. My post-op appointment this morning confirmed 20/20 vision in both eyes!! There was truly no real pain during, or after, either procedure! I had a tired feeling eye after my first day back at work, so I took two Advil, which completely alleviated the slight discomfort. Not only was it painless, but there are so few limitations afterwards that it was perfectly convenient. Im amazed that such advanced technology exists, and its right here in Tyler Texas by Dr. Charles Heaton. Im already so pleased with my clear vision! Dr. Heaton, a million times I thank you and your wonderful staff.

I had all Lazer LASIK eye surgery done in the beginning of 2017 by Dr. Nickel. Had surgery done on both eyes and the entire experience was both pleasant and life changing. I have nothing but good things to say for East Texas Heaton eye associates. I went in there with high expectations and every employee in that building exceeded my expectations. I used to have to wear annoying contacts or ugly glasses well now I have perfect vision would highly recommend LASIK to anyone on the fence about it. Like Ive told pretty much everyone I know Im not a rich dude but to me this surgery was worth at least ten times what it actually cost. Easily one of the best investments Ive ever made and one of the happiest days of my life :)

I had LASIK with Dr Nickel in 2006. It was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I remember waking up the 1st morning and telling my husband I could read his alarm clock on the other side of the room. He was amazed that I had not been able to do that before my LASIK. It had always just been a green glow from across the room. For several weeks after my LASIK I would find myself at bedtime going into the bathroom and opening the drawer where I had kept my contact lens case, solution and back up glasses, only to be reminded I did not need that stuff anymore. Thanks Heaton Eye Associates, everyone at your place was great! Would definitely recommend them for all of your eye care needs.

I did not personally have a great experience with Heaton with their LASIK service. When we initially discussed pricing, I was told the pricing and advised to pay $140 for an eye exam as part of the qualification process. I was informed that that $140 would apply toward the procedure cost. When I later called to finalize pricing and pay for the procedure, I was told that I could choose to either apply the $140 OR have a discount. So in other words, my $140 - paid to see if I would qualify for the procedure - was a total loss that I will now never recover. It feels to me that what I was told before was not entirely accurate. I personally cannot recommend Heaton as a result.

I have one word for you ladies... BOTOX. I love how discreet it is to get my treatments by scheduling an appointment with my eye doctor. People are usually surprised when I tell them I get botox because Dr. Nickel always gives me results that appear natural without ever looking "over done" & my face has never had that dreaded "frozen look". I can still make facial expressions & just look well rested. Getting in to see him is much more convenient than trying to schedule with my dermatologist or a cosmetic specialist. I am always pleased with how courteous he & his staff are to me.

I would like to thank Dr. Nickel for changing my life after LASIK surgery. I have worn glasses all of my life and have struggled with keeping them on my face. I am a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and have no idea how i went so long with the glasses throughout the strenuous work of being the armed forces. I would like to recommend Heaton Eye Associates to anyone looking to change their life. I can wake up now and see my alarm clock and actually see way better than i did with my glasses. thank you to the amazing staff at Heaton Eye for helping me every step of the way.

I had LASIK here with Dr. Nickel and I love it! I used to wear coke bottle glasses and I was blind as a bat. Dont think since your glasses are so thick you probably wont be able to have LASIK, because I did! You can come in for a free LASIK evaluation and talk to the refractive team first to see if you qualify. The day after my LASIK I could see everything and the experience was amazing/easy. I would highly recommened having LASIK done to anyone and to have it done at HEATON! If you want the best of the best, its right here in East Texas! (Review made by Mrs. Devin Magness)
