I entered Dr. Hodges office in a rush. I had previously tried to get an eye exam done at Walmart and it was so crowded there was a two day waiting period. Dr. Hodge was able to see me immediately. I liked that when I filled out the initial patient detail form it was on a laminated sheet of paper and I used a wet erase marker to fill in my details. Dr. Hodge heard me talking with the receptionist about my urgent need to get glasses and she came out of her exam room and greeted me. She then took me into the exam room and ran the standard eye tests. What I found unique in her delivery of services is that she seemed to genuinely have an interest in the health of my eyes. A lot of doctors have pretended to care about me as a person and it always seemed insincere. She was aware of my time constraints and that I only wanted my prescription, but took the time to do her complete examination of my eyes. I found out there were some legitimate issues that I was unaware of. Unlike other eye doctors Ive visited previously, she took the time to show me the camera footage taken of my eye exam, pause, zoom in, and expound on all the issues that were present and how they played a role in my eye problems. Dr. Hodge ended up giving me a prescription for some eye drops and some freebie eyelid wipes. The Doctor advised that I should come back in a week for a follow up. I wont be going back because I think I know better, but I wanted to make sure to indicate the doctor performed good service. I would go back if I ever needed another eye exam. I was charged $85.

Dr. Hodge has given me the best eye exam in the 35 years that Ive worn glasses. She took time to explain my vision results and found that I had allergies. I didnt know why my eyes were irritated and burning since my move to Texas. My eyes were very dry and irritated and she prescribed drops to help soothe them. I drive 40 minutes to have Dr. Hodge perform my exam to ensure I receive a thorough exam. Its very clear shes passionate about her profession and cares about her patients ocular health beyond an annual eye exam.
