Karing dental had THE worst oral surgeon. I had my wisdom tooth removed there. They made me wait over an hour before they actually started the removal of my wisdom tooth. I only received the normal topical anesthesia so I was fully conscious. From the moment I sat in the chair I felt I was ignored and the staff seemed to lack communication with one another. It took over 5 min just for their staff to figure out what kind of release papers I needed to sign before they could start and everyone was coming in and out of the room but didnt actually do anything. At one point I felt the numbing cream the nurse applied was starting to wear off, thats how long I had to wait in the chair before the oral surgeon came in. I expressed this to the nurse and she said it was only in my head. Then the oral surgeon comes in to give me the numbing shots and it was one of the most painful feeling ever and I have a pretty big tolerance for pain in general and have had my other wisdom tooth removed in the same manner, same situation of an impacted tooth, but from a different doctor and it was no where near as bad as this experience. As the surgeon proceeds with the procedure, I started gagging at one point, but instead of stopping like what any normal doctor would do, he had his nurse hold me down instead. I had to give the motion that I was feeling pain just so he could stop for a moment. If someone is gagging, you stop and let them breathe. Once the oral surgeon was done, he left the room and never returned. I only saw the dentist as I walked out the office in which he was wishing me well. It was only some nurse that stuck around to give me post op instructions, which I think she missed a few things. I should also mention, none of the staff introduced themselves or stated what roles they held when they entered the room. So, some nurse instructed to return in 2 weeks for a follow up. I did everything the nurse had instructed me in terms of changing the gauze and taking the meds and using the mouthwash. They never said anything about using a syringe to flush out the hole in my mouth or even provide one to me. For a whole week all I could taste is this metallic taste in my mouth that wouldnt go away. At the time, I had no idea why this was happening. I used the mouthwash they prescribed and gargling salt water to rinse my mouth and I didnt see any food fall out. The last time I had my wisdom tooth removed, I didnt need to clean the hole with a syringe. It wasnt until I went for the 2 week check up that the dentist, not the oral surgeon because hes only there once every couple of weeks, told me that there was a lot of food stuck in the hole and was rotting in my mouth, thats why all I could taste was this metallic taste. Seriously? Maybe, if they payed more attention to their patients they would have told me that the day of the surgery. All in all, the dentist there is fine, but not so much for the oral surgeon. Patients beware.

I came to Karing dental on a referral from my dentist because I had a toothache but also some broken teeth that needed to be removed. The toothache was from another broken tooth and the one next to it was in bad shape. I was thinking of just having them all pulled because I really don’t take good care of my teeth. When I got to the office I was happy to see that it looked very nice and it seemed to be newer so I was sure the equipment would be good. I checked in with the receptionist and filled out the usual paperwork. Once that was done I thought, “I wonder if there are any reviews on this place.” So I looked it up on Yelp. I started to get nervous because they were some pretty bad reviews. But then I met Dr. Shah. He is a very friendly guy and talked to me about the procedure. He convinced me that he could save the two teeth on my lower set by doing a root canal and then just having them crowned He said that it would save me in the long run because otherwise I was looking at a partial for both top and bottom. If I let him save the teeth on the bottom I would only need one for the top. The root canals (2) went just fine, as well as any root canals I had before (9). He was considerate of my needs as he was doing the work checking on me to see if I was in pain or if I needed a rest. Everything went well. I was prescribed amoxicillin to prevent any infection and Motrin for the pain. After the Novocain wore off I was not in any actual pain just minor discomfort so a couple of Advil knocked that out. Second visit was back onto the two bottom teeth that the root canals were performed on. This time was a bit of a wait but not unreasonable it was very busy that night and I had my iPhone to distract me while I waited. I was treated nicely welcomed and again Dr. Shah was very personable and a pleasure to be around. He put in the temporary crown and polished the teeth I had the root canal on. See one of the teeth was broken, only the back half was there and the second had a big decay hole showing on the front. By the time I left there it looked like I actually had two teeth back and they were whiter than my natural teeth. All through the procedure Dr. Shah was checking on me making sure I was not in any pain, that I was numbed, and seeing if I needed a break. Third visit I came back to have the two broken teeth on the top extracted. All that was left was right at or below the gum. I was pleasantly greeted, not long of a wait, very localized shots of Novocain and within 15 minutes all the pieces were extracted. Best visit ever! I had no pain after the Novocain wore off. So I am glad I did not run out of there after I read the Yelp reviews. I had a very nice experience with Dr. Shah (as well as you can with a root canal and teeth extraction).

If there is a option to give a 0 stars to this dental office I will. Worst expiriance ever. I chose this dental office because was a close to my home. I schedaule app for cleaning and check up. I came 10 min before my app. The girl on front desk told me to wait for assistent to call me.I was waiting for 30 minutes, and then she ask me how I would like to pay, I said all 75$. She charge my card before my app. Finally they put me in a room, Dental assistent too a X-rays and some pictures as well. After the her gone. I was by my self in a room for 1:55 minutes. Can you believe????? Nobody came to ask how Im doing. After the Dr came in the room, he was with me for a 4 minutes only, he did a check up and he left. He told a dental assistant to talk with me that I need a deep cleaning. Thats ghastly. My teeth was a perfect, I need only a reg cleaning,. She told me that he doesnt want to do regular cleaning. I know why, because office was a full of patient, and some of them was waiting on the front. I left a room, front desk girl told me that she would return only 25$ wooooooow. 25$ of 75$ that I was waiting for 30 min to cal my name, and 1:55 minutes for doctor. Thats incredibly. After 2 days I left to the other dental office and Dr told me that I dont need a deep cleaning, only regular. I mean woooooooooooooooow.I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS DENTAL OFFICE AND THIS EXPERIENCE. just woooooooow. I would not recomend this dental office to NO ONE.
