I gave birth to my daughter at Johnson Memorial this past Christmas, with my prenatal/postpartum care done at Johnson County Womens Care Group. I couldnt ask for a better group of people to take care of me and my baby. The nurses were incredibly attentive and genuinely caring, and made my birthing experience a positive one, despite the fact that my baby had to be transferred to the NICU at Riley Hospital two days after delivery; they were incredibly attentive and caring. They did everything they could to ensure that I was comfortable, keeping me loaded up with cold packs and witch hazel pads, and one of the nurses even made my husband dinner after the cafeteria closed late one night. One of the bonuses of going to a small hospital is the sheer amount of personalized care like this that you receive. When youre only one of two women in the maternity ward, youre spoiled rotten! Ive also had the opportunity to meet all three of the doctors serving at Johnson County Womens Care: Dr. Smith is my primary OB, Dr. Andrews delivered my, and Dr. Norris checked in on me and baby before I was discharged. All three are incredible, and they do everything in their power to make you feel like a human being, rather than another body on the table.

Absolutely disgusted by some of the staff members here. As a pregnant patient who is having severe bleeding and pain for three consecutive days without being able to hold anything down and becoming weak, all I needed was treatment and some relief. This was too much to ask. Have been asking for 8 hours now for something to relieve my pain that works and have been denied everytime because Dr. John Norris (OB/GYN) explained that he will only give Nubain or morphine (neither of these two absorb into my body or give me relief). I unfortunately have very low vital signs and have been explained to that surgery may be a last resort later on but I will probably leave before they get a chance to make a risky situation and worse. Many staff here seem to be cold and unsympathetic. They should learn to listen to their patients, especially since they know their bodies better than anyone else. Cant wait to leave here and looking for other options for treatment as Im reviewing them. I would advise others to not even bring your dog here if you dont want them suffering!

Had to come in twice in a month for twisted ankles and stitches. The staff was compassionate, friendly, efficient, and quick. They walked me through every thing that was happening, went over discharge instructions fully and without rushing, and made me feel comforted and heard. I dont know about all the bad reviews because Ive been to hospitals where you might as well have been invisible for all the attention they give you. They do TRIAGE patients of course which means the most emergent go back first but my son was still seen within a half an hour of us arriving even with several chest pains and other emergent cases that came in after us. Take into mind they are a SMALL HOSPITAL which means resources are limited, if you know you are suffering from a long term illness or something complicated, you may want to go just a little north to Community or IU. Their nursery doesnt offer a NICU so complicated cases are sent to Indianapolis for the best care for the patient.

Quite possible one of the WORST hospitals in Indiana. Physicians are cold and uncaring and the nursing staff is lazy and unprofessional. They take extremely too long to come in and greet you. It was over 45 minutes before anyone at all came in to acknowledge us. I had a fever of over 103 and my leg was about throbbing because of a blood clot I had and they KNEW already it was there. Do not even take your worst enemy there. I had to rate with one star to post, but if it was possible to rate negative stars it would be -5. Good luck with this hospital of death.

My father experienced signs of a stroke and immediately drove to JMH in Franklin. He went directly to the ER and walked inside to find it deserted. NO ONE was there to help him, and he was unable to yell or speak. His right arm was numb. He walked down a very long hallway...still deserted. Several minutes (and quite a distance) later he found a security guard who got him help. He ended up at Methodist Hospital in Indy, diagnosed with a TIA. Im glad that he did not collapse inside the doors with NO ONE there to help him. This is unacceptable.

The OB nurses and docs are fantastic! My wife delivered our baby girl there and I could not have been more pleased with the care we received. The only problem I have is with their records/billing system. You get a million separate bills from all of the different groups, each one bills individually, the womens care group, the hospital, the pediatric office, the lab, etc. It is ridiculous there should just be one entity to pay and then they could divvy it up where it needs to go. Frustrating and annoying to keep track of everything.

DO NOT EVER...NEVER EVER...take ANY LIVING THING HERE. From being told surgeries dont occur on weeknds to being admitted night before surgery and 5 mins before surgery it was found out NO ONE had done an EKG to even see if EKG would allow surgery...to just now...go to get in hospital bed and no one had locked the bed and it took off rolling...i was getting to bed on my own after gallbladder removal. Nurses have bad attitudes and Drs are whipping pekple in and out like a machine to make money. Save ur life. Go anywhere elese.

Staff implied my epilepsy was fake despite consultation with an off-site neurologist and access to my EEG. They also billed collections instead of me. Im probably better off not seeking medical attention from now on. Disgusting that this is the only medical attention I can get, at the cost of my decent credit too. If I dont get approved for an apartment because of their collections bills, I will park my mattress in their billing department.

I brought my Mother here 5 days in a row for severe shoulder pain in July of 2014. She could barely move, on the 5th day of being sent home she didnt know who I was and so I called the ambulance and they brought her back. She passed away shortly from a pulmonary embolism at Johnson memorial. I could go into detail about how things were handled but that wont bring my Mom back. Im just saying dont take your fish here for treatment.

I am very unsure about these low rating reviews. Every time I have been to this hospital, I have been treated with the upmost care. The nurses and doctors have seemed to genuinely care about my well being. They ask about how I have been doing and if my family is well instead of just getting a quick check up and leaving. I strongly recommend anyone to go to this hospital for their health care needs.
