I had taking my dog to Dr. Barnes for 14 years. My dog was everything to me. ( I cant have children so she was my child). She had uti a lot and I had her in there all time for them. Right before she passed I took her in three times that month. I keep telling him something is wrong. I knew everytime what was going on with her but not this time. The week she passed I had her in there two times. Both times I told him her stomach was hard and not right. He blew me off and 1st time said she must have a uti 2nd Time he told me she has a GI bug. At this point she was not eating at all. This was on a Friday and he told me she would be a new dog come Monday. Come Sunday I took her to the emergency Vet. Right away that vet said yes I do feel her stomach is hard. Did x-ray and she had stomach cancer. He organs was shutting down so we had to put her to sleep. To top it off I got a beautiful card from emergency Vet office. From Mt. Comfort I got a vet who never seen her to sign a card. Dr. Barnes couldnt even sign a card???

Weve been coming to Dr. Bob Barnes for several years now and got great service every time! They were always polite to us, gave great attention to our dog and we never felt pressured into any of the procedures. Even our dog, who was always nervous to go to any doctor, is starting to respond and relax a little bit while she is there. Keep in mind, it is a relatively small office but with a wide range of possible services and reasonable pricing.

Well Angie....that could happen to any animal. Ive had surgery and came out horribly bruised, because thats a chance you take. Anyways, I LOVE this animal hospital! I have had 3 dogs spayed here and always had the best care and felt like they truly cared for my doggies!

Dr Barnes is the best vet I know of. He is caring, honest and personable. Ive been taking my fur kids to him for 20 years and havent ever thought of taking them elsewhere.

The doctor and staff were more thank kind and comforting when we had to put our beloved Buddy down. They even made a donation to the humane society in our Buddys name.
