All that we can say is that the Indianapolis Eye Care Center LITERALLY saved my Husbands Eye site. He had what we thought was pink eye several years back. The Family physician treated it as pink eye, but it lingered, lingered and lingered for weeks on end until it got so bad that he started wearing an Eye patch because the pain was so bad. After two months of this and several trips back to our Family physician, I called the Practice on a Sunday during their closed hours. Within 30 minutes, not only did we receive a call back from the on-call Eye Physician, they deemed this an Emergency, opened up the practice and had us meet them their within two hours. The diagnosis? A severe Virus had attacked his eye and he would have ended up losing his Eye site in his right Eye had left untreated for only a few more days. Within two days of the initial treatment, the pain dropped drastically and we could clearly tell that his eye was slowly on the mend. They monitored this VERY closely for almost a year since this type of Virus can reoccur without warning and can cause severe damage even blindness if left untreated. They saved my Husbands Eye site in his right eye, no question about it. We cannot say enough good things about the Indianapolis Eye Care center and now our entire Family (grown children, myself) are regular patients that will tell you that if it is a bit of an extra drive, IT IS SOOOOOOO WORTH IT . This was by far the best eye care experience Ive ever had. Last year, I went to Lenscrafters and received terrible service where I had to take the glasses back for bubbles which I had to convince were not my doing. But here at Indpls Eye Care, everyone was extremely friendly and the Optometrist was very knowledgeable even more so than other place. I am well pleased with no line bifocal, transition, glasses. Price was $100 plus less and even received a rebate. I love them and wish I had found out about them years ago. But thats okay, I know now and telling everyone I work with here at IUPUI that they are the best eyecare center in Indy!!!!!!

Recently i went for an eye exam with The Indianapolis Eye Care Center. It was a very carefully conducted exam. It was decided that my eye care had moved to the point of corneal transplants. So Dr. Sutton and his team tracked down another great eye care team that would work with my situation (insurance, etc.). I was very quickly given the necessary details . This was just my last visit, but i have received great care from this location and/or its teams since 2000. Please dont take your eyes for granted, please - go get them looked at by this very professional team.

I was referred here by another optometrist. My experience was horrible! I was told that my insurance would not cover eye exams and that my insurance would also not cover frames. When I tried to speak with them about it, I was basically called a liar. I walked out and called another provider. Turns out my insurance will cover eye exams and frames! Would not recommend this place to anyone!

This eye care center is the best office that I have ever been to. I had a stroke 6 years ago, one of the students (Taylor) took her time and found the right prescription so I no longer have double vision. The whole office staff are so caring,,,,,I am a patient here for life!!!! Thank you IU Eye Care Center!!
